Senior Member stamos Posted August 12, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted August 12, 2010 Hi. I have a daughter age 5, who has long hair that smell bad even 12 hours after washing. My wife, my other kid and me, do not have this problem. When we wash her hair we use a kids' shampoo and a conditioner afterwards to make easier to brush. I remember this bad smell for at least 2 years. I have tried some adult's shampoos (panthene, tricomin and tea tree oil) but the smell is still there. Can I use Nizoral 2-3 times per week? Or do you have any better suggestion? Thanks.
Senior Member hairthere Posted August 12, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted August 12, 2010 Are you giving her scalp a solid rub when you wash her hair? Perhaps she has excessive oil build-up? Also, they're are expensive, but California Baby makes some great all natural products. Senior Member stamos Posted August 12, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted August 12, 2010 hairthere thanks. I am giving here a good rub. I will look at California baby, by from what I understand so far, it is difficult to find solution with natural products. Do you know if I can use Nizoral? Senior Member RCWest Posted August 12, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted August 12, 2010 The instructions I've read say 12 and older. Nizoral is mostly for dandruff and help for MPB. Although I think it is a strong, great smelling shampoo, I don't think it would help you unless her hair is very oily. Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily Avodart 0.5 mg. daily Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily 5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily Biotin 1000 mcg daily Multi Vitamin daily Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted August 12, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted August 12, 2010 Stamos, Have you considered taking your daughter to a local dermatologist? He or she may be able to properly analyze and ameliorate the situation. Senior Member stamos Posted August 13, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted August 13, 2010 You think so? I will then. I thought that the only thing I could do is to change shampoo.
