Senior Member guyfromsydney Posted November 6, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted November 6, 2007 Are there any tools available which can predict your future MPB? Or its just a guess as to what will happen in the long term? Can you give hair samples or undertake blood tests - or have a surgeon examine your head, which will provide insight into your hair loss situation?? Senior Member the B spot Posted November 6, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted November 6, 2007 Nope-- it is actually a very simple test--- you have a doc inspect your head and check for miniaturized hairs throughout the pattern. That can give a good indication as to your potential progression. However, I must point out that forecasting baldness is a recipe for disaster, especially those of use age 25-40. Begin taking a DHT inhibitor and take a conservative approach initially. I hope this helps you out! Jason BTW--- you book a flight for the U.S. yet? Senior Member hairbank Posted November 6, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted November 6, 2007 B's Spot-on with his advice , like always!!!! Agreed..............no way. There's so much garbage out there about looking at your mother's father, father's mother...............brother's cousin's sister's mother's uncle twice-removed........well, maybe that's a stretch ! Nope.............totally an unknown that you have to let develop over time. As B mentioned, all the more reason to take a conservative approach when tackling hair loss and possible restoration.
