Happy Thanksgiving! What Are YOU Thankful For?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I thought I'd take this time to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. Often times in a world full of difficulty and stress, it is easy to forget what we are thankful for.

So I thought I'd start this thread and ask everyone....what are you thankful for?

I'll start...

I'm thankful for my relationship with Christ and salvation in Him.

I'm thankful for my wife - she is a great blessing to me and means so much!

I'm thankful for my closest supportive friends who mean the world to me.

I'm thankful for God's provision meeting all my physical needs.

I'm thankful for my HAIR! What an amazing boost of self confidence restoring my hair has been in my life! Thanks for Dr. Katz, Dr. True, and Dr. Hasson for giving me back a lot of confidence.

I'm thankful for this forum community of dedicated members sharing their experience and knowledge with newer seeking members.

I'm thankful for Pat, our Publisher for providing this awesome community!

I'm thankful for my health!

What are you all thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Bill

Im very thankfull for all the people on this forum, whose participation, helped me get onto the hair transplant process. I hope to have as close as a full restoration as possible within the next 3 years. For the first time in about 15 years I actually can walk around without a hat and feel alot more confident when i meet the ladies...

It was especially usefull after a very difficult divorce and negative change financial situation.....Speaking of which...Any doc want to hire an award winning salesman?????Im looking for a job, and finaly feel very passionate about this industry,.....

Many, many years ago, a man named Abraham Lincoln wrote the following:

A Proclamation.

The year that is drawing towards its close, has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful providence of Almighty God. In the midst of a civil war of unequaled magnitude and severity, which has sometimes seemed to foreign States to invite and to provoke their aggression, peace has been preserved with all nations, order has been maintained, the laws have been respected and obeyed, and harmony has prevailed everywhere except in the theatre of military conflict; while that theatre has been greatly contracted by the advancing armies and navies of the Union. Needful diversions of wealth and of strength from the fields of peaceful industry to the national defence, have not arrested the plough, the shuttle or the ship; the axe has enlarged the borders of our settlements, and the mines, as well of iron and coal as of the precious metals, have yielded even more abundantly than heretofore. Population has steadily increased, notwithstanding the waste that has been made in the camp, the siege and the battle-field; and the country, rejoicing in the consiousness of augmented strength and vigor, is permitted to expect continuance of years with large increase of freedom. No human counsel hath devised nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God, who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy. It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and one voice by the whole American People. I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquillity and Union. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the United States to be affixed. Done at the City of Washington, this Third day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and of the Independence of the Unites States the Eighty-eighth. By the President: Abraham Lincoln William H. Seward, Secretary of State

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I have authored my own version of the above:

A Hairloss Proclamation.

The year that is drawing towards its close, has been filled with the curses of malnourished scalps and perishing follicles. To these perils, which are so constantly suffered that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so horrific a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and harden even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful eye of Almighty Woman. In the midst of a follicular war of unequaled magnitude and severity, which has sometimes seemed to non-sufferers vain and futile, needful diversions of wealth and of strength from the pockets of balding men have not arrested DHT, HT surgeons or techs; the scalpel has diminished the borders of our baldness, and the meds, and possibly even low level lasers, have yielded even more abundantly than heretofore. The HT population has steadily increased, notwithstanding the waste that has been made in the [bosley] hair mills; and the baldies, rejoicing in the consiousness of augmented self-confidence and imagined virility, are permitted to expect continuance of years with large increase of ego and perceived importance. No human counsel hath devised nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High Doctors who, while dealing with us with lust for our checkbooks, have nevertheless remembered mercy for our bald predicament. It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and one voice by the whole Balding Public. I do therefore invite my fellow sufferers in every part of the globe, and also those who are in denial and those who are sojourning in fantasies of hair cloning, to set apart and observe any Thursday they see fit (or Monday, for that matter), as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Hair Transplant Surgeons who dwell in sprawling mansions [and drive fancy cars]. And I recommend to Them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Them for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also commend Their tender blades [or needles] to all those who have become hairless, lost their temples, hairlines or crowns, and fervently implore the interposition of their Almighty Hands to heal the wounds of the scalps and to restore them as soon as may be consistent with the Divine standards of the ISHRS. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the HLH forums to be affixed. Done at www.hairtransplantnetwork.com this 22nd day of November, in the year of our Lord Doctors two thousand and seven.
