Senior Member irish homer Posted February 13, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted February 13, 2007 I've being giving it a go for two months now. I like it. Its easy to apply and dries fast but most importantly for me it does'nt irritate my scalp like the liquid. will keep at it for a while to see if it works. Bill - Seemiller
mopar, Shedding is normal when you first start minoxodil. I personally do not use it now, however, I did use minoxodil for about a year when I was in my early 20s. In order to fully evaluate whether it's working for you, I'd give it at least 6 months to a year. If it's not helping, consider stopping it since it's a messy regime. Keep in mind, though, once you stop, any hair gained or prevented from being lost will die and disappear if you stop. Take progressive pictures to help you identify whether it's doing anything for you...when you see your head every day, you might assume it's doing nothing when it really did help. P.S. I'd consider using finasteride if you aren't already. Bill
