Senior Member MrJobi Posted October 15, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted October 15, 2007 I think NG2GB is jesting again, Taking propecia and minoxidil has nothing to do with protein shakes or working out.. Period.. I respect others opinions but I am certain on this one. It is apples and oranges. Senior Member EmuSteve Posted October 15, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted October 15, 2007 Wow. lol Chris, protein is found in more than just shakes... chicken, steak, etc. A shake is just a supplement, and won't interact with propecia or minox in any way. You're fine taking both. -Steve I don't work for a doctor. Got 2700 fu from Ron Shapiro, 11-30-
Senior Member guyfromsydney Posted October 16, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted October 16, 2007 DHT whatever its called doesnt that make your hair fall out? and isnt that testosterone? Are you sure lifting weights and eating alot of protein doesnt effect testosterone production? I know nothing by the way, i just do weights so im curious. Senior Member scooping around Posted October 21, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted October 21, 2007 If that's the case, then like previous poster mentioned, you really shouldn't be eating at all then. Protein can be found is just about anything that you eat, which you really cannot live without. Lifting weights may have a direct relationship in the increase of DHT, but you're not going to be able to find protein as the cause of balding. If protein has anything to do with MPB, then I'm sure just about every man on Earth would be suffering from it.
Senior Member MrJobi Posted October 21, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted October 21, 2007 Trust me there is no relationship between the two unless you are taking steriods. Senior Member NervousNelly Posted October 21, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted October 21, 2007 You will be fine to take the protein supplements. Also, working out is not going to increase your hairloss unless your buddy accidently injects you with steroids as part of your exercise routine. NN NN Dr.Cole,1989. ??graftcount Dr. Ron Shapiro. Senior Member Matt Skiba Posted October 26, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted October 26, 2007 Lifting weights increases testosterone levels, but only over a long period of time. http://jap.physiology.org/cgi/content/abstract/65/6/2406 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
