Senior Member wylie Posted November 23, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted November 23, 2007 Was wondering, has anyone tried this stuff? It seems everyone is using Nizoral, which is marketed as an anti-dandruff shampoo and I do not have problems with dandruff. I'm thinking of giving this shampoo a try, but its pricey. Is it the consensus in shampoos that Nizoral is best, are there others that work http://www.amazon.com/DS-Laboratories-Revita-Stimulating-Shampoo/dp/B000QGXT2Y/ref=pd_sbs_hpc_njs_title_3
Bill - Seemiller
Wylie, I am currently using Revita Shampoo and you actually just posted a link to the very same place that I bought it. This shampoo contains ketoconazole (same active ingredient in Nizoral) known to have some "weak" anti-DHT properties. I've been using it for 4 months now. I'm probably not the best subject for it being that I've had 3 hair transplants (any native hair may have been transected with all those incisions made). But I'm using it anyway and at the very least, I like the way it makes my hair feel. Bill
Senior Member wylie Posted November 23, 2007 Author Senior Member Share Posted November 23, 2007 Okay, thanks for your experience with it, thats what I was looking for. At that price I probably will use it sparingly but I am going to get myself a bottle of it
Senior Member MrJobi Posted November 25, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted November 25, 2007 Yes, I do like Revita as Bill does. it does have a lot of nice things in it BUT if it helps stops hairloss , etc. it is marginal. Senior Member wylie Posted December 2, 2007 Author Senior Member Share Posted December 2, 2007 Wow, used Revita for the first time yesterday and it made my incision from three weeks ago tender, and after waking up this morning, it is still tender. This is strange, because after the staples came out over 10 days ago I have experienced zero tenderness in this area. So, this is not necessarily a bad thing, but something to keep in mind after getting a HT. I'll use it again after a few days and see if tenderness returns. Senior Member MrJobi Posted December 10, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted December 10, 2007 probably a coincedence. I really like Revita as a shampoo but again , shampoos really are more cosmetic than anything JOBI 1417 FUT - Dr. True 1476 FUT - Dr. True 2124 FUT - Dr. True 604 FUE - Dr. True My views are based on my personal experiences, research and objective observations.
