Regular Member Matsuri Posted June 20, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted June 20, 2008 Just my experience...after being on Rogaine for 6 months being totally satisfied with its results (stopped hair loss, got back hair and looking quite full and good) , finally -without change something in my routine - lost the 'miracle' and in 20 days I completely lost what I have gotten back over 6 months. I was hoping it was something temporary but things went worse day by day and finally seems I have to deal with my bald crown (and hair rapid hair loss still goes on)...it is so devastating...I will go on with Rogaine and in case anything alters for better I will post it but no hopes anymore. Bill - Seemiller
Matsuri, I'm sorry to hear that Rogaine doesn't appear to be working after 6 months. It's quite possible that it still is, but that your male pattern baldness just got more agressive. Have you considering using Propecia in conjunction with it? Take care, Bill
Regular Member HoToStop Posted June 27, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted June 27, 2008 Matsuri, Try finasteride which may help you to keey ur growth. I was using same minoxidill for 4 months and didnt see any results(dont know how it would've been if i was not using it). And started using finasteride last month(25 days back)...I am loosing more and more hairs (which are thin miniaturized) but feeling that my hair got thicken. I dont know it is due to fin or Nizoral (started along with fin) but its looking thick. Do give a chance to finasteride.
kumarmahesh991
May be the DHT levels have increased..minoxidil does not inhibit DHT..its mechanism is unkown..better get a prescription for finasteride..
