Senior Member wantego Posted July 31, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted July 31, 2008 I have babied my grafts for over 4 weeks. Nothing not even a ball cap has touched them. I have worn the doctors blue surgical caps on the rare occasions I have left the house. Tomorrow I will have to wear a baseball cap. Should I be nervous about this? Any advice? 4374 grafts-7/2/2008-Dr Rahal 485 singles 2336 doubles 1526 triples 16 quads 9809 total hairs

Senior Member Dewayne Posted July 31, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted July 31, 2008 they are going to fall out; and then the real ones will grow in four or five months. You're trying to hold on too much, man. Those babies are as good as history...... Sorry. But, I think your transplant looks terrific! 100? Bill - Seemiller
wantego, At 4 weeks, feel free to wear anything you'd like on your head, including a snug fitting hat. You will not harm the grafts. Best wishes, Bill
Senior Member wantego Posted August 1, 2008 Author Senior Member Share Posted August 1, 2008 Thanks guys. I guess after investing so much of myself in to this procedure I may get a bit over cautious at times. 4374 grafts-7/2/2008-Dr Rahal 485 singles 2336 doubles 1526 triples 16 quads 9809 total hairs
Senior Member Smoothy Posted August 5, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted August 5, 2008 4 weeks should be OK for your grafts to wear a cap. Dont put on too tight, more for the donor scar that is now fresh and unstitched. Dr. Timothy Carman
Wear any old hat you like. Your grafts are set, and like the others above point out, now it's just time to be patient.... Grow well!! Sincerely, Timothy Carman, MD ABHRS President, (ABHRS) ABHRS Board of Directors La Jolla Hair Restoration Medical Center
