Regular Member ZAZ Posted April 1, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted April 1, 2009 Hi Guys, Im post op 10 weeks, i had 3000 grafts, ive been pretty happy with my surgery so far. Im at 10 weeks post op and for the last few weeks been noticing new hairs randomly sprouting here and there The process is pretty slow and just the odd hair has sprouted here and there. At the moment i probably have more hair than i started off with but its not that significant a difference. My question is what is the timescale period when most of the "sprouting" is achieved. I know it varies from person to person and full growth can take anywhere up to and beyond a yr. But id like a small timescale ie 4-6 months when most of the growth will occur. Just something to keep my worrying down!!! Thanks My Hair Loss Web Site - Hair Transplant with Dr. Mohmand

Senior Member Jotronic Posted April 1, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted April 1, 2009 At ten weeks you are a bit ahead of the curve but not so much that your early growth is unusual. I tell patients not to expect a thing before three months. By six months you should have a nice covering of shorter hairs with most of the grafts having popped through. From then on it's a matter of the last few grafts coming in then thickening and length. Final results as far as growth by eight to ten months then incremental improvements in texture as far a 18 months post-op.
