  1. I dont know to be honest, dr humayun will be able to tell you
  2. I guess it was a big area to cover and dr did say i ll need a further 3000 grafts to have a significant look. I guess i ll know for real after my 2nd transplant
  3. Hi I can personally recommend dr humayun as ive had a hair transplant off him. Hes a good surgeon and im sure he'll do his best to provide you with a high level of comfort and care.
  4. Its not particularly thin or thick, somewhere in between More on the thinner side if i have to go one way, i guess its got a lot more maturing to do over next few months
  5. Im a avid cricket fan and seen a massive transformation in rana naved from pre op to where he is at now The results are superb and one of the reasons why i had my hair transplant with Dr Humayun is cos of this Rana looks great with hair
  6. Sparky, U can say what you like, its ur opinion which i respect and which im after, i also feel that the result thus far isnt 3000 grafts worth Hopefully like the dr has stated he will take our opinions on board and make up for the loss Id like other members opinions 2 to get a balanced and universal view so when i approach the dr i have a firm case
  7. Yeah im sure dr humayun will do the best by me and if i feel that the surgery results couldve been better he will make up for it
  8. So Dr Humayun, you feel that the result is of about 2500+ grafts? As you are a quality surgeon i am more than willing to take your word for it, im sure there will be more developement over the next few months yet In any case i will be coming again probably febuary for a consultation and we can take it more from there. In mean time i will keep you posted on my progress and would still like continual feedback from fellow members as to my result thus far.
  9. Im content with the procedure but like yourself wouldve expected slightly better results How many grafts do you reckon is my current look? The dr has reassured me he will do his best to give me a discount and reassures good aftercare and correction
  10. Dr Humayun is one of the most value for money surgeons in the world If im wrong the dr can correct me, however according to my experience the dr charges 60 pakistani rupees per graft 1 dollar is worth approx 83 rupees at the moemnt So 3000 grafts would be $2200 usd at the most
  11. Hi DR I appreciate the response, yeah the best people to judge whether it is a good result or not are the coalition people such as Bill who have a wealth of experience. Dont get me wrong, im not upset by the result so far and i appreciate the area to cover was vast as i was a type 5a ish and yes you did state that i would need 5000-6000 grafts to get a decent level (70% - 80%) coverage However i do feel it couldve been better maybe im wrong?, thats why i asked if i had all my growth or was this all of it I appreciate ur offer and would like to take it up if the general view is it couldve been better I would like experienced members of this forum to offer there views on my result thus far so i can make a informed decision What do you guys reckon to my result thus far, could the result have been better for 3000 grafts? and how many grafts do you reckon is the result so far? Thanks dr for your response
  12. It was spread More were concentrated on the front 1/3 but overall it was spread across the receding areas giving a thin coverage overall
  13. Yeah the above pics are PRE OP pics (before my hair transplant) I ll be uploading the latest 8.5 months photos shortly How extensive is the loss on the above pics and how many grafts would i need for good coverage?
  14. My doc was Dr Humayun Im attaching a couple pre HT pics, sorry they arent better quality but ive lost my phone which had the better quality ones Ive requested some pre pics from Dr Humayun so im awaiting them
  15. Thanks guys Yeah i know that transplanted hairs will carry on maturing and getting thicker for many months but in general till when does avge growth continue? As im 8.5 months will it also continue from now on? Wot percentage should i be on at on avge at moment?
  16. Hi Guys, Im 8.5 months through my first hair op of 3000 grafts, i was a norwood 5-6, i've had some growth but not as much as id hoped for Im just wondering, am i being presumptious in assuming ive had all my growth? My doc stated ive still to see 25% - 35% more growth over the next few months. Is that true? 2ndly when should i go for a 2nd op? Obviuosly i dont want 2 go 2 soon which may have a adverse effect i'll be uploading my results soon so you can judge for yourselves Thanks Guys
  17. Its a long journey, i know its difficult but u gotta try and be patient, things will improve slowly, it varies from op to op Im 6 months and have had decent growth but still awaiting some more, hopefully within the next couple i ll see the full results

  19. Hey well done javy I had my HT done from Dr Humayun 5 months back 3000 grafts If you or any1s got any questions pls feel free to ask Happy growing!!!
  20. Hi Guys, Im 4 months post op and had 3000 grafts with Dr Humayun, im british but with pakistani origins i was in pakistan from early jan for 3 weeks. I did my research via this forum as the dr is recommended on here and the internet in general. I spoke to Abby and a few of the Drs patients. The feedback was pretty positive and after detailed e-mail exchanges for a few months i decided to go with the Dr. I was pretty happy going into it and fully expected hed do a great job. The situation for myself was pretty stable in rawalpindi where i stayed with relatives, in islamabad where doc is based there are a few security checkings but we had no problems Everything was stable and everybody was going about their life normal. Obviously you need to be careful in certain places and try not 2 spend more time out than necessary there. My experience with dr humayun and mr shahid the consultant was a bit mixed. The facilities were good, clean and modern, the dr and mr shahid seemed pleasant enough and the initial consultation went ok but i didnt get to talk to the doc as much as i wanted, he only came in for a few minutes. However i was happy enough and after a few days of thought i arranged a day for the op. On the day i was a little late as there seemed to be a mix up with the times anyway after arriving late we got started. During the op i had to take it up to myself to slow the whole process down as the doc went about his business without informing me much. I had to ask him detailed questions on points like when he drew the recipient area, when he cut the donor area etc etc. It all seemed a little rushed and inexplained, maybe it was bcos i was late in arriving. However I guess this is how it works in pakistan, people turn up and get the thing done and leave it up to the doc but i had expected info during the procedure 2. Anyway he has 2-3 HTS on the go at the same time and completes several per day. The Drs part was drawing the recipient area, taking the strip out and closing the scar as well as making the incisions whilst the techs do the donkey work of disecting the grafts, putting the grafts in place and injections etc. The techs were mainly female and made conversation and were pleasant and funny The operation itself was pretty straightforwrd and simple, well entertained with bollywood tv on and it lasted 5-6 hrs. They gave me a sandwich and also some apple juice. No pizza or burger kings as some have suggested. After the op Mr shahid gave me a detailed letter and instructions as to what to do for the next few days as well as a list of pain killers which i obtained from the pharmacy on the floor below There was no pain, just a bit of discomfort for a couple of days post op as well a lot of tiredness and a bit of excess gas bcos of the pain killers. There was also no swelling as some may experience. The major problem i had was getting comfortable trying to sleep as i had to make sure i slept on my back and kept my head stable at night. It was painstakingly difficult During the post 10 day period i didnt receive a phone call from the Dr or the consultant and took it upon myself to ring them a couple of times After 10 days i went back and had the stitches taken out, there was a bit of pain involved as some of the scabs got pulled. Things look ok so far with some small root growth being noticed here and there but its still early days. The after care since post 10 days again has been poor with no phone call, e-mail as to how i was doing. My overall experience was satisfactory, i mean for price they were pretty good but the centre lacks the level of customer care that a person from the west would expect. I believe the Dr just takes on a little too much and doesnt give the personal care a patient deserves, its something that they really need 2 work on. The op though went well and im happy with that aspect but im still waiting for the results!!!!!
  21. Hi Guys, Im post op 10 weeks, i had 3000 grafts, ive been pretty happy with my surgery so far. Im at 10 weeks post op and for the last few weeks been noticing new hairs randomly sprouting here and there The process is pretty slow and just the odd hair has sprouted here and there. At the moment i probably have more hair than i started off with but its not that significant a difference. My question is what is the timescale period when most of the "sprouting" is achieved. I know it varies from person to person and full growth can take anywhere up to and beyond a yr. But id like a small timescale ie 4-6 months when most of the growth will occur. Just something to keep my worrying down!!! Thanks
