Senior Member Desperately Seeking Hair Posted November 1, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted November 1, 2008 I tried the hair max laser comb for 6 months to try to grow hair, but I got nothing out of it. I'm not sure about laser hair removal though. Better check with a doc.
Regular Member fusion47 Posted November 2, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted November 2, 2008 I just had treatment 4 out of 8 for laser hair removal on the anterior side of my neck. Used to get ingrown hairs and don't so much anymore. The nurse said that 8 treatments is average, but that they'd do as many as needed to get rid of all the hair (this might be specific to my clinic). It can be expensive though. I got my foot in the door during a special promotion.
Senior Member Chuckisduck Posted November 3, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted November 3, 2008 It does vary. My coworker has gone over 12 times and he still gets his back, just not as bad. Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted November 3, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted November 3, 2008 I have a lot of experience with Laser Hair Reduction. It works great, when done by a competent clinician on the proper patient. A dark haired light skinned individual can reasonably expect 80+% reduction with 4-6 sessions about 6 weeks apart. I don't offer this anymore, but prices are competitive in most areas. The key is to get someone with experience. Or you can wind up with no results, or scars. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA William H.
