1. NW-4 here. I don't think my HT is detectable, other than the fact that I have a lot more hair now. It causes some strange stares from people that knew me pre HT, but I'm confident it's from just having a bunch more hair than before. Everything looks very natural to me.

There really is nothing detectable about this HT. You could inspect all you want and it would not be obvious to you. Is there a level of thinness? Yes (It's not as thick as my native hair). But over-all it's pretty thick and gives me a good look.

Look here to see my pre-HT look.

  2. Thanks for reopening it.

While I agree that Grace came across as crass, unprofessional and inconsistent in her arguments, I don't agree that she should have been removed because of that. She pretty much kept her arguments to a couple of threads. Others who in the past have tried to attack every thread did deserve to be banned.

I personally did not spend much time on her posts. I know you probably felt obligated to respond to every point she was trying to make, so it took a lot of your time.

I thought there was some progress in convincing her to post some pictures, so I was looking forward to that. Although I'll agree that she was probably just pulling our chain and never would come up with them.

I just hate to see censorship like that. Now she'll use that as ammo for one of her future young and impressionable clients.

  3. Dr Alexander,

Why do you not mention 4 hair grafts? Do you place 4 hair grafts? Dr. Rahal who has a similar technique to yours indicates on his website that he does not use 4's either. Is there a technical reason for not using 4's with lateral slits or is it just a preference not to use them? What do you do with the 4's that you find? Can you please explain?

    Thanks.

  4. Hi Jagdish,

Naturally occurring DFU's are not like minis as explained in Dr. Keene's web site here. They are hairs that are naturally close together, in line, but with a small gap in between. Normally they would be dissected into two FU's, but keeping them together can at times be advantageous.

And to answer your question, no they would not be placed so close together by making two incisions. That might be possible, but typically a doctor is distributing grafts evenly over an area based on overall density of placement, e.g. 50 grafts/cm2.

As a crude example, consider the following representation of the placement of hairs:

DFU (3 hairs placed as is, using a 1.5 mm blade) -

Same hairs split into two FU's using .7mm blade placed at 50 grafts/cm2 -

    'll__l'

Now, getting into things like TFU's is scary and getting a bit carried away, depending on the details of how they are placed.

  5. Gorpy is a Pimp Daddy. He really just hangs in a mexican restaurant everyday doing tequila shots and occasionally going on-line to fight with Jotronic.

Life is good! Can you you think of a better job?

No, seriously, I'm going to polish up my resume. I got serious skilz.

I've been elevated to Pimp status.

Last but not least - I made Jotronic eat his hat (believe me, that's not easy). *

    * Not a real act. Any attempt to portray Joe as eating a hat, implied or otherwise, is unintentional. Likewise, eating hats is not advised by me or any party associated with me. The fact that I look like Johnny Depp is purely coincidental. Do not attempt this at home.

Wow! A great compliment from a beautiful woman. I'm feelin' good!

Grace, do you like older guys ? icon_wink.gif

You know, I have to agree with some things here: As you know, I have always had a bit of a problem with clinics and their hired cheerleaders. Now, the trend is to require clinics to post more pictures? That can be good and bad. It's always good to see results, but will it result in more cheerleaders being hired? I hope not.
