it's pretty cheap and stays in until you wash it out. just don't put too much in...a little goes a long way

yeah, dermatch is great. just a little in the hairline makes a huge difference

As always, thanks for the thoughts, gentlemen. Usually I'm a bit impulsive, but this decision is one that a person could easily regret years later. I've read all of the horror stories and equally read all of the life-changing positives. I've narrowed down my list to a couple of doctors, but HTs just have too many variables compared to any other cosmetic procedure. What if the doctor screws up? What if more hair falls out? Strip? FUE? What if, what if, what if? Sometimes I have to sit back and think to myself....all this fuss over....hair?? Regarding age, I'm 35 now. I really don't want to wait until I'm 45 or older. I feel for those guys that lost it all in their teens and 20s. I'm kind of in that in-between stage. Not a HUGE amount of loss, but just enough to make it a constant nagging feeling when I look in the mirror. Thank god for these forums. I don't want to imagine what would have happened should I have had this decision to make 10+ years ago. Again, thanks for the words of encouragement

wow, thats the most impressive temple point restoration i have seen. very nice work, dr. bauman. that patient is having exactly the type of work i'm looking into. about how many grafts were added to each temple point?

if i decide to take the plunge, i'll be sure to document everything. i'm looking at doing this in may, so i still have some time to research. who knows, maybe i'll just chicken out and say forget it

thanks. i swear, i read through these forums every day. the good news is, i haven't read any negatives on either of those docs from multiple forums. that says a lot. regarding fue, i couldn't afford to do what i really want to do(lower hairline a bit more and do the temple points) at a decent density. with strip, i could get everything done in one shot. granted, i will probably keep losing the front since it is mostly minaturized, but then maybe i can finish off with a smaller fue session

getting closer to making a decision on what to do. i think fue is out right now; i'm just not impressed with the results. if i do any fue, it will be a small test session. i think strip is just a better option because i can get it all done in one shot. i tell ya though, wading through some of this shit can wear a man out. i'm leaning toward dr. hasson and dr. feller with feller edging out based on results, being closer, pricing, and straightforwardness. time to meet some patients

fue may have a lower yield(still not sure about that), but cutting a huge chunk of my scalp out scares the living sh!t out of me

thanks, cousin. i've heard of the fox test before but had no idea what it was. these megasessions, are they considered so because they're taken all in one day? i always thought fue procedures were spread out over several days(i.e., 500 grafts per day). i need probably 2000 - 2500 grafts, but i don't want a strip scar. i hoped fue would do the trick, but i'm not so sure anymore.

what factors make a patient unsuitable for FUE and what numbers constitute a mega-session?

i like dr. feller's work. what was the density on each of those procedures and what does dr. feller charge for fue nowadays?

i think you're right about the inflammation part. i've been using nizoral shampoo to control the itch, but it still happens. look forward to your results.

hmm...i'm pretty sure i get it in the area i'm losing, too. mostly a combo of itching and tingly from time to time. maybe it's all in my head, but i've read others having similar symptoms
