  1. GQnDn,One thing to remember if you are starting and stopping propecia or minoxidal you will have continuous shedding and it might be hard to see results so staying on one or the other or both will be more beneficial---welcome to the forum.
  2. Mr lucky, I too am from michigan and right now the only recommended dr here is Dr Aronovitz in detroit.I am from G.R. and there is an MHR office close to my house but I would never go their. Please keep researching this site and dont let a little traveling for a lifetime result stand in your way. Also any doctor you do find, check the find feature on this forum for results, good luck.
  3. Like mrjb said,When you are starting and stopping meds shedding can and will occur,How are things now at 5 months?
  4. Hey dazza, You are only 4-5 weeks out and like josh-b said propecia and minoxidil will cause some shedding that is temporary and this shedding usually starts growing back before the transplanted hairs.
  5. The biggest difference is that micro/minis have more hairs in a bundle, thus require much larger incisions too have space for the extra tissue and refined FUT are as small as 1 hair grafts up to max(usually)4 hair grafts requiring much smaller incisions and a much more natural look. They are both actually strip procedures but alot of the industry just calls it strip method.Keep researching and stay away from micro/minis.
  6. Your just starting in the doldrums,Try and stay away from the mirror for a couple of months and you will be fine.
  7. About chris kaman,I worked with his dad leroy for years until he retired 2 years ago and it is to bad for chris that if he doesn't do anything about his hair it is going to look bad pretty soon.He must get his hair from his mother pams side of the family cause chris' dad brother michael and all of leroys brothers and father have really thick hair.Oh well at least when he needs to fix-it $$$ won't be problem...
  8. There you have it.It sounds like Dr Beehner was explaining my 1st HT too a tee. Thanks doc wellsaid.
  9. Cobalt,10 weeks is way to early, some people dont see any re-growth until 16-20 weeks.
  10. Hey cobalt,Are you saying you saw these areas right after the transplant or if you are 10 weeks out now you are probably seeing the natural shedding that occur's in the HT process.
  11. I also forgot, I was able to book at the online consult which was the first week in december.
  12. Hey NGTGB,I took 1 of 2 dates open in february with Dr Hasson or I could of taken a couple of dates in january with Dr Wong, otherwise it would have been booked-up until spring time, hope that helps. Mark
  13. Also they all arent going up that much,THE MOST WAS.50 cents a graft.
  14. they were Dr Feller and H&W and one more I cannot think of now.I called and they said starting in december and january.

  16. I'm having my HT procedure in february with Dr Hasson and was wondering how your scar looks now that it is well over a year and if you had the trycho closure done with Hasson?thanks Mark
  17. When going to canada for HT did you convert currency or just use american money for eating out,cab fare, tips, etc.?I'm going in february and wanted to know if I need to exchange currency before hand.

  19. I dont see the prices dropping,As of december 1st a couple of the well known coalition doctors have actually raised there prices, some even are updated on their websites.
  20. your hmo would have to cover it if it is health related no matter how ie. accident, natural causes etc. Try and take it easy your choosing from great docs.
  21. Hey cali,Although 2 of the shed grafts look like they still have the hair ball attached"the rest do not"if you pulled out a graft it would bleed like a stuck pig.I lost 1 graft 3 days after my 1st ht and I woke up from my sleep and felt blood running down my head onto my pillow, your ok man.
  22. Hey danielkiwi I think If you are confused A standard procedure or megasession is a normal"strip session" and a F.U.E. follicular unit extraction is a small extraction of hair ie. bundle or follicles that the doctor extracts without a strip and is generally for a smaller session and less invasive.
  23. reading on this forum for quite awhile I do know that MRJB is a lot like me----no-nonsense straight shooter.
  24. strip method means that the hair follicles are taken from a strip of the donor area on the back of the head that is not susceptable to balding and is also called F.U.T. follicular unit transplant
