  1. Lenny welcome to the forums, You really need to do a bunch of research, knowledge is vital to hair transplantation. You will learn alot, and i think you will see most of these posters wisdom on this subject. That said,FUE might be your better option if your hair-loss is not severe.
  2. I am almost certain if the surgeon really knows what he is doing there would not be only a 10% yield of growth,For that to happen something like transection of grafts or improper planting of grafts or patient sickness etc. would have had to occur or its one of crappiest Dr's out there.
  3. Kyle,Hasson & Wong no longer have an office in las vegas, only in vancouver, portland and seattle.Usually pricing is pretty similar between surgeons but not always.
  4. Lenny, welcome to the forums. It would really help us to know the extent of your hairloss because people that have sessions as small as just their temple points redone can use that many grafts on just one side.So 400 will probably not be worth it.Depending on the extent of your loss the Dr's will have a good plan for you, meaning possibly 1 or more sessions.Consult with some reputable Dr's and make your plan of attack.
  5. If Dr Feller doesn't reply here{its easy to miss} try private messaging him,It worked for me when i had a ? for him.
  6. Hey john m, I noticed you had your procedure done with Dr Feller,Did you ask him what he thought of this,If he thought they were dead or still in resting fase?If not I would call him ASAP,take care.
  7. Welcome Hairypalms,{what is with these funny names?wasn't Hairypalms the FIST OF FURY Champion on a gameshow in a Cheech&Chong movie}Oh well,If you do research on Dr may you wont find satisfactory results.Keep researching prospective surgeons until you feel really comfortable with their results.
  8. Hi Janna, Is there some reason Matt doesn't do the phone consults a little later in special circumstances cause when I was trying to set one up I was just trying to set it up for like 4:30 or 5:00 p.m. eastern time and was told none after 3:00 p.m.,I thought that was odd because I really like Shapiro's work. Thanks for your time.
  9. It is what wearecured said it is just dead skin that is waterlogged,It will be gone in know time.
  10. Hey snakeoil,{funny name} I had the same problem when I wanted to do a consult with Dr Shapiro. One thing that really bugged me was they would only do a consult at a certain time I think it was 9 or 10 a.m. thru 3 p.m. mon-fri ,When i said that this just wouldn't work for me because of work and asked for an evening or a saturday {anytime} or sunday {anytime}phone consult she said that they wont do consults any other time. That just solidified me wanting too go with Dr Hasson.About the passport, they used to be quite a bit behind but they have caught up at the end of last summer.I applied for my passport 12-20-07 and recieved it 1-2-08 without paying the extra $100.00 dollars for expediting, good luck bud.
  11. Hey josh-b, They call it the ebb & flow,But like wanthairs said if more of these Dr's and their patients would show more of their work and up-date their websites they would have a bigger piece of the pie.
  12. Like chucky said,Try the meds, you look like a perfect candidate for propecia especially if your young.Welcome to the forum.
  13. H&W were 4.50 for 1st 2000 grafts and 2.50 a graft over 2000.As of january 1st they are 5.00 for 1st 2000 and 3.00 anything over that.They dont do them starting at 3.00 a graft.
  14. Welcome poobah, 1st off how many days posy-op are you?You do know that your transplanted hairs are are gonna look alot thicker and fuller the longer they get and that alone is going to make your hair look alot denser.
  15. Welcome to the forum sposthole, With both of my HT's I think I was a slow grower and did not start to see growth until the 5th and 6th months, but yes the hairs are usually colorless and probably poked thru the skin a month or so earlier than when I could notice them. They do thicken in hair shaft diameter as mine were alot thicker at 1 year than at 6 months.Be ready for forum members to tell you to be patient 5.5 months is early in the process,Good luck
  16. Hey lucky I cant seem to find any info or pics of miles daily on the find feature or Aronovitz's web site where did you find them?
  17. Yes you are NG2GB, your'e only averaging 6 posts a day but thats all we are all here for anyway GEORGE
  18. You probably shoulnt let a little traveling keep you in-state if you can have a better result a little farther away.
  19. If they are making you that uncomfortable I would be looking elsewhere. As i said before i'm from michigan too but I still went out of state for my 1st and next month am going too Dr Hasson for my next HT and I should be all done.Dr SHapiro is in minnesota and is really renowned for hair line work and i considered him also I just happened to get a much earlier booking with H&W than i could with shapiro or feller.
  20. Hey lucky who's office did you go too twice,Is this part of your 1st thred?you have me confused.
  21. Welcome IMISSME, Most everybody on this forum has felt or is feeling what your'e going through so hang in there as there is hope.Look through the photo albums and HT photos and I'm sure you will find somebody with hair loss very similar to yours that had an amazing result. Also have you tried any meds too see if you respond well?
  22. I think Bill meant it IS NOT a good idea to pick at the scabs. His other advice is good though.
