  1. Take care of those new arrivals and you will be rewarded. The coverage area and number of grafts should yield great coverage. Work looks very clean, scar closure looks awesome as well...typical work from Dr. Feller and his staff. It's a long road ahead, so keep your eye on the prize....try to forget the HT, the time will go by faster this way. After a couple of months time seems to fly. Good luck T
  2. Mike Most Doc's will excise the previous scar. It does however depend on the location of the previous scar and whether the current HT Dr. will use the same location for donor site. T
  3. I used Feller 3 months ago, and so far things are looking good for me. I didn't see Epstein mentioned above, I believe he visits NY once a month. His work is top notch as well. Had my first HT with True in 2004 and wasn't happy with results.
  4. I'm thinking the Dr's who until recently were very active on this site have been advised by their lawyers to avoid posting. They will leave the text posting to the Spec's, Janna's, etc. The Dr.s will only post photo's. Hope I'm wrong as it is great to have the Dr's input.
  5. Hairdue The $1000 is insignificant in the case of an HT and being confident about the Doc. Don't think twice about it. It possible that the Doc may return the deposit, some do, some don't. Good luck T
  6. Ben You must be thrilled that the journey is finally over....the last HT, the last 3 months of cover up, let the growth begin! Looks great. Good luck Ben...Dr. Feller has pieced you back together T
  7. Obviously you need to get back on it ASAP....get a script from the Dr if need be. It may have been my imagination, but I was off it for a week and I noticed hairs falling out. Not something you want to mess with!
  8. Maybe doc Feller went to Bosley for an HT...and they used an old punch and cut his head off by mistake! He'll be back once his head grows back!
  9. I would think by 10 months it would have grown back. Did the transplanted hair grown in? I have heard of growth maturing after 12 months, however, I haven't read anything about shock loss taking that long to come back. I guess if the coalition doc said it still could return...it's possible. Who was the doc? Good luck T
  10. It was a little early on to soak your head...did u soak the recipient area or just the donor? The banging and scratching can't be a good thing, but after 4 hours the grafts are in very well and can only be pulled out with force. A couple of bumps and scratching should be fine. Good luck T
  11. Dr. Feller, Although heading back to college is appealing too me....I don't think I could handle the constant partying! T
  12. I'm on round two...right now I'm in the looking like a "Klingon" stage...however, I'm keeping my eye on the prize! Go for it, but do a lot of research! T
  13. Good news....through this forum you will find an answer to whether the HT route will work for you. I understand you are laying all of your cards on the table here with the medical history...but I have to agree with Thana...sometimes it's not a good idea to throw the baby out with the bath water! Best of luck T
  14. Wow, 2 weeks vacation consecutive...I should have listened to my parents when they suggested med school!! Welcome back Dr. T
  15. Lara, To close this topic for me...I do think that each patient should receive equal treatment.
  16. Lara, There may be better doctors, maybe not. Customer service, have you ever tried to speak with a surgeon at the hospital!! That's not going to happen unless you are in the recovery room.....and then it may take two days! IMO, these HT doctors focus on results/technique with their time and if a few emails or messages are not returned as quickly as patients would like it's not a big deal. The HT end result is what we all really care about. I understand an HT is not an easy decision for us and I follow why you bailed on yours. We tend to obsess about the procedure and come up with many, many questions leading up to the big day. Try to select your doc and then let it happen. For the record, I pm'd Dr. Feller after my deposit was paid and he did respond quickly. Good Luck and grow, grow, grow.
  17. I agree with hairthere. I find the best is either to call Dr. Feller's office or pm him on this site. I've had several pm's with Dr Feller and he always responds quickly. He is one of the top doc's and should be included in your HT decision.
  18. Imp, Listen to the advice from everyone here, most have been through the same feelings as you. It would be best to wait, find another hairstyle that works for you now. Maybe short but not shaved? Maybe the messy spike? Something to keep you comfortable so you can forget the hair problem and live your life like any other 20 y/o. Try to remember, we judge ourselves and notice our hair issues, most people don't really care how our hair looks. This may be hard for you to grasp now..but it is true. You have plenty of time to go with surgery, remember, you most likely would end up having multiple HT's. There is always the possibility that you will never be happy with the results. Hope this helps you bro. T
  19. Thana, Great results at only 6 mo...looks very natural. Good luck with continued growth. The January pics....I've never seen better immediate post op results, so clean, no indication that you had 3000 slits! This should be put on Dr. Feller's website. Nice work Dr. Feller. T
  20. IMO this topic should not receive this much attention. Here's why. The Dr.'s are deciding if shaving is best for the final HT outcome, which at the end of the day is our only concern. The few months of regrowth time is insignificant to the years down the road. When we choose our HT guy, based on our many different criteria, the fact that the Doc is a shaver should not sway our decision. Each of the Doc's on this site, based on his/her technique/skills/knowledge/years of experience, feels shaving or not shaving will yield the best results for the HT. I believe the Dr's here have one goal....to provide great results. If that means a shave is necessary, then so beit. Also, the remarks on here that Dr's that require shaving are looking for the easy and quick way out is just BS. One extra hour of chair time is not what these Dr's are focusing on!! Select your HT Dr carefully and stand by the decision based on the research that is available on this site. We have been finding ways to deal with all that life brings to us, good and bad...certainly a couple of months of short hair is not an issue. Let's face it, the first month whether shaved or not, the HT will still show some signs...so we are looking at probably another month of camouflage time until the shaved hairs grow in. Happy 4th to all. FYI...I was shaved by Dr. Feller, June 6, 2008. T
  21. I know the transplants usually fall out by 3 weeks. I started to lose them at 6 days and this continued to about the 3 week mark. Friday will be a month and I still have a bunch of transplanted hairs.....will they still shed after one month? Thanks T
  22. I know the transplants usually fall out by 3 weeks. I started to lose them at 6 days and this continued to about the 3 week mark. Friday will be a month and I still have a bunch of transplanted hairs.....will they still shed after one month? Thanks T
  23. Concerned that if I were to switch to proscar from propecia (have been on propecia for 4 yrs) could this result in a bad reaction and loss of hair? I don't want to upset the apple cart just because proscar would save me a few of the American peso's. Thanks T
