  1. oh yeh i have seen your pics before. You look great by the way. i will also have my hair like yours if i was to get a HT. i would leave it like that for 6 months then maybe think of growing it a bit longer. Another question for you. When i get HT the surgeon will probably shave the area where the grafts will go. I will have a stub look for a bit but how long? When do the grafts fall out? im hoping it takes a while so that my original hair grows in a bit. Will my original hair actually grow back as its very weak? Thanks again you have been a great help to me and many other people.
  2. Hi All Can anyone show me any pics of people with short hair all over. like a grade 2. i am looking for a picture taken atleast a year after an HT. Thanks
  3. well i can take 3 weeks off, but ill have to take the other week or 2 as a sick leave. I have to look normal before i go back to work as i am in face to face meetings all day long. Can anyone point me in the right direction so i can see HT with people with high hairlines?
  4. Hi All i have been thinking of getting my first HT done in the next few months but i am still not sure. The thing that worries me is when the surgeon shaves the frontal area. i am gonna look really odd. i can probably take maximum 4 to 5 weeks off work to recover, will this be enough time for my old hair to grow back a bit? Will my old hair actually grow back again as its very weak? i am in sales i see customers face to face every day so my appearance very important, especially when trying to gain more customers. What i also worry about is the scar. i only feel comfortable keeping my hair very short on the sides and back. im talking buzzing it as low at a 0 to about a 1 or 2. i have looked at photos of scars that have had the Tricho closure and they look fine. i dont really mind having a scar at the back on my head. But some people say different.

  6. Hi, I was just wondering why people who have had two Ht go with different surgeons? People get one done and say they are delighted with the surgeon, but they get there 2nd procedure done with someone else. why is that?

  8. I am going to be getting an HT done from Dr True in New York. Can you negotiate price? I am in sales so I was thinking of trying to get a better deal. I was also interested in speaking to Dr Feller. Maybe I could use that as bargaining power. Maybe I could get them to pay for the flight or something.
  9. Hi I am going to be getting my first HT done in a few months. Are there any hidden costs i should know about?bear in mind i am in the UK. i will be travelling over to New York. Do the clinic pay anything in regards to travel expenses? or can they getting better deals etc

  11. http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/menshealth/feature/baldness_remedies.htm i think they are talking about UK based HT surgions. Most men in the UK really dont have a clue about HT. They say its not a good thing to do. I am trying to raise awareness here. I have told TV channels to follow my progress when i get my HT done in America. Havent had any response yet.

  15. I think that HT really inst well known here in the UK. i am going to try and get them to film my journey. what do u think the chances are? i will probably send it to a few other channels. so far i have just sent it to the BBC. Here is the letter. To Whom It May Concern: I have had an idea on documentary that you can film. It's all about hair loss. Thousands of men and women all over the world suffer from this. It causes depression, low self esteem and has a major affect of life in general The technology these days for Male pattern baldness is very advanced. Not many people know that there are plenty of procedures that can be done to regrow your hair. One of the procedures that actually work is Hair Transplants. Basically the surgeon takes a graft from the back of you head and plants hair follicles into the thinning/bald parts. In time your natural hair with start to grow and look very normal. You start noticing results gradually and by 1 year you should see the full effects. Its by no means perfect but by having more surgery you can pretty much grow all your hair back. You may be thinking I am dreaming, but this technology is out there. I don't know many normal people who know about this. But there are hundreds of men who have had the surgery and never been happier. The clinics in the UK do offer this but they don't come with very good reputations. So I have opted to travel to the USA. I had my consultation last April and the surgeon have written out a plan of action. It's not a new technology, I just feel that its not very well publicised. Allot of men think that once they loose there hair it's all over for them. Well its not! I am only 23 and have thinning hair. I will be traveling to New York to have HT (Hair transplant) in the near future. I feel that the BBC could follow me on this journey to see how it all pans out. At 23 I am very young to have hair loss. I am sure there are loads of other out there in the same situation. The BBC can open the eyes of many sufferers like me. This program would also be unique as I have never seen one like it made. Here are a few links that may give you more information on the subject. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/ http://hair-restoration-info.com/6/ubb.x?a=cfrm&cdra=Y&s=5696015661 I look forward to your response. Regards

  17. Thanks again. I am from the UK and the only contact i can make is either phone or e-mail. i cant really afford to go back to NY. Next time i go back it will be for the procedure. if i booked the HT with him, can i ask him to do more grafts. so you think Dr True and Dorin are the best at closing the scar?
  18. Thanks for your response. I am thinking of getting an HT done. I have been to a consultation with Dr True back in April 2005. The only thing i am worried about is the scar. I still want my hair short but don't want the scar to show too much. Obviously the scar will get bigger with every HT you have. So i want to keep the HT down to one procedure. I have also been thinking about what sort of hair style I would have. I would like to keep short, maybe grade 2 or 3. Would it be best to go with a bigger session with Hasson and Wong or go for a smaller one with Dr True. He recommended me to have 1500 to 2000 grafts. I don't know what to do!
  19. Hi Was just looking at a few photos of HT patients. i noticed that quite a few people have had big HT from Dr Hasson. He is the speciallist in large sessions. I also noticed that a few people who have the same sort of hair loss are getting different results. i saw one guy who was balder then another, they both had the same amount of grafts, one of them had much much better results. why so different? the pics were also taken in the same dates eg 7 months etc!

  21. Hi all i am from the UK and last April i went for a consultation with Dr True. He said that at the moment you dont need to pay tax when u have the HT. He also said this might change. Has this changed? any news on when this will happen? Thanks
