  1. Interesting. I’ll look into that. Thanks.
  2. Don’t know how true that is to be honest. People who are nw7 prob don’t have a clue where their hairline was. I didn’t do it anyway. Just did two sessions under my hair. That will do for now
  3. Hello Used to be completely bald and had a hair transplant about 13 years ago. My doner hair wasn't the best so my expectations were low. It came out ok and I can live with it. As you can see from my pictures I have a scar. I had SMP into the scar which helped a bit but not the best camroflague. I then went back had had my first session all over my scalp . Results are promising and create a bit of cover for my naturally thin hair. The first session was done very suttle and I have still got an opportunity to shave it off and lower my hair line with smp. I would love a slightly lower hairline but I am torn between doing one last session under my existing hair or shaving off lowering hairline and living with an smp head ? My crown is pretty much sparse. I use hair fibres to cover up a bit. SMP has helped in that area even with hardly any hair there. I now can use much less fibers in the crown. Pictures show small amount of fibres in crown
  4. Thanks mate! im soooo happy!! was amazing to win the cup!! i love you Tottenham! sorry back to hair!
  5. Ive had my 2nd HT but i didnt know how to create a new one with the same album so had to put it with my first one. Hello Everyone I finally had my second hair transplant and it went great. Dr Feller and his staff were brilliant as expected. I got to the Dr's office and we sat down and discussed our plan. It was decided that he will fill in the bald area (crown) and place more grafts towards the front so that when it grows out it will grow over the current grafts and give and overall coverage at the front. He said I had good laxity which can be good and bad. Good because u can harvest more grafts but bad because it can cause the scar the stretch. He said that shouldn't be the case for me as the first scar was very thin. The Dr said that if it was him he would much rather have good laxity. We briefly spoke about the world of transplants and I said that he has a very good reputation online and is known to be one of the best. He said he is always striving to be better and that's what makes him good at what he does... even though he is established he wants to make sure that his work is always at the highest level possible. I expected nothing less and we got on with it. The procedure itself was easier then the first time as I knew the drill. The initial injections sting a bit but after that it were pain free. The day flew by and I received approx 3160 grafts which were more then we hoped. We planned to get 3000 and the good Dr didn't charge me for the extra. Everything went to plan and Dr Feller was happy with his work and said it was a normal straight forward HT and if I wanted I could get another 2000 grafts in the future. Now I play the waiting game but I can't wait to see how it turns out. Thank you Dr Feller & Staff you were excellent!
  6. I think most people on here will take looking weird for 2-5months over a life time of baldness. i dont think it looks that odd anyway. i had hardley any hair on top and the shedding wasnt that much of a problem for me... but then over time it all grows out. Who knows what the future will bring for new techniques.
  7. Thanks for your comments everyone... ill try add more pics soon.
  8. Hi mate I certainly look younger now. I will be 25 in Jan and before my HT when people used to guess how old i was they would say ages from 27-30. i was 23 then!! i meet this girl the other day and i told her i was 24 going on 25 and she said, really, i was waiting for "oh you look much older" but she said she thought i was about 22. When i tried to guess her age i said, 24 and she was only 19 its much harder to guess a womans age. i dont have any close up pics at the moment, ill try add some later in the week. im going back in feb so i might get to his techs before you!
  9. see my next message below about 2nd ht! Hello Haven't been on this forum for a while but i thought i would post and show you my 16 month update. I'm from the UK and travelled to New York to see Dr Feller Well what can i say.... i am delighted with the out come and feel very pleased that i went to see highly skilled Dr Feller. My donor area wasn't the best and i had to cover a large area. Dr Feller managed to get around 3200 grafts and distributed them in the front third. My growth has been slow, but as they say it's a marathon not a sprint. In the end i got the results i wanted. It was my first HT and i did allot of research but at the time i was really nervous but as soon as i meet Dr Feller i knew i had come to the right place. He was so comforting and considerate, he must perform so many HT's and it's like second nature to him but i bet he still makes every one of his patients comfortable. He also keeps you informed of what's going on during the op which is also good. His technicians are also very friendly and skilled which is assuring, there very cute to ????? I can still remember the day itself and i can't believe it has been 16 months already (time flies) I think the only bit I didn't enjoy was the first few injections but apart from that it was relaxing. I am booked in for the start of February for my 2nd HT and I can't wait to get more work done. I plan to get my crown filled in and thicken everything up a bit more. I know I am in good hands. If anyone is thinking of going to Dr Feller then he is one of the best there is around. If not thee best. I can't speak anymore highly of him and his staff and I want to say thank you for giving me some of my hair back as well as added confidence. I cant wait to go back in Feb.
  10. I made the mistake of taking MSM right up to the HT day. I knew you couldnt take asprin and stuff but not msm. It did thin my blood and when the techs were placeing my grafts in they had to spray it with water every now and then so they could see. it just makes the procedure longer. When Dr Feller was punching the holes he didnt say anything so it wasnt to bad.
  11. Maybe ill ask Dr Feller to see what he thinks. I dont want any risk involved.
  12. Cheers mate, ill prob go on one and cover my head with something. Im from England so we dont get much sun here either.
  13. Hey Everyone! I am starting to look rather pale and in need of a little Tan. I had my HT 5 months ago and was wondering if i can go on the sunbed yet? I dont want to do any damage but it should be ok if i cover my head shouldnt it?

  15. Hi there. I think the best thing to do first is shave it all off and see what you think. If you dont like the look of it then grow the sides and back out a bit so you can see what sort of donor you have. Before my HT i used to shave the sides and back to a 0 grade. When i did my consultation with spec he said my donor wasnt the best but still could get a decent result. Running up to the time of my HT i grew my hair allot longer then i was used to. From a 0 grade to a 5 or 6. It was estimated that i could get 2000 grafts done. When i got to Dr Fellers office he told me that my donor was allot better then what he saw in the pictures and he would get more out of me. During the procedure that number of grafts went from 2,000 to 2,700 and in the end i got 3,200. It was dense packed into the front and middle scalp. I have been told i have around 1500 - 2000 for any future work. Good Luck with it all, you have come to the right place for advice.
  16. If your taking MSM stop that aswell. I kept taking it and when i had my HT i was a bit of a bleeder and the procedure took a bit longer as they had to spray my head with water to clear the blood. They said it didnt affect anything tho.
  17. I think i noticed something similar. The hair that i had on my head would go a bit curley when it reached a certain lenght and wouldnt stay straight.
  18. Hi I also suffer from dark circles under my eyes, but its not too bad. Allot of the darkness is created if you have deep set eyes. Its basically a shadow. I think thats the problem i have. I have also tried creams ect but they dont really work. I dont know what else to say to you. Just search around on the internet?
  19. Hi there, I wouldnt bother with an HT at your age if you have just got thinning in the crown. Stay with the Propecia as you could have lost much more if you wernt on it. If it bothers you that much, try a concealer in your crown. Def stay with the meds tho. Good luck
  20. Hi there. Dont beat yourself up about going to Bosley, some people come out with half decent results. In regards to the grafts falling out, thats normal, its part of the procedure. They fall out then they start to grow back around the 3 month mark. Maybe post some pics so some of the guys on here can see what your situation is. Good luck.
  21. I went to Feller about 6 weeks ago and he is a great guy, very friendly and professional. I am surprised it's taken this long for him to be added to this list. Well done.
  22. Do not go to any UK clinic for anything to do with hair!! i have heard loads or horror stories. Speak to Spex, who knows everything there is to do with HT. He is also based in the uk and can meet up with you to discuss things.
  23. Hello Trojan Your best bet would be to get on propecia first so you can keep as much of your original hair as possible and possibly grow some back. That way when you get your front and mid scalp done you might not need to get the crown done. There are some great surgeons out there. If you haven't already I have head good things from the likes of Feller and Hassan & Wong speak to them. Depending on your donor area and laxity you might be able to go for just one large session, something like 4000+ grafts at one time. Ideally this is what many people want to do, but its not always possible due to age, and possible future balding. Also the main thing is to research and research more. It's a life changing procedure and it needs to be done correctly.
  24. Thanks. some days i cant wait for it to come round, others i think , is it gonna be a good idea? is this normal?
