Just curious, Was wondering if any of you guys that have had a hair transplant have a lot of swelling at the donar scar the day of and next few days after surgery? Mine was swelled up like a half inch off of my head at the scar area. It felt really tight like it was gonna bust.It has gone down now, because its been 11 days, but still fills tight as I have not removed my stitches yet.I was wondering if this is common?

Honestly that 2% is way off...I think even the drs. that are promoting it would admit that. The facts are that dht has function in the body. One of them is to produce ejaculate. So even though you can still have an orgasm using propecia, it will not be what it could have been having not used a dht blocker. Those that only have sex once or twice a week won't notice it much. Those who have sex daily will notice. Everyone I have talked to has had at least a small effect from dht blockers..unless its applied externally to the scalp in a lotion.Most men won't admit its effecting them..its a macho thing.. What kind of bullshit is a comment like that? A "friend" of mine is on Propecia and is still having WILD orgasms. Of course, this guy is 20 years old, but still...don't BLOW things out of proportion. The issues with that pill happen in, what, 2% or less of users? Yeah.

I think it was a good job...and you will look better and feel better about your appearance. I don't think people should always wait till they are old to do this..no matter how ethical it is. The best years of your life are right now..not when you are old..I don't think propecia is the answer for most..unless you don't have much of a sex life anyway and you don't mind making your orgasms smaller...

Thanks..i can always use good luck.Yea..I had alotta swelling in the back of my head around the stitches..Hope the cut doesn't turn out too raised and scarred looking ..I guess I will know before too long...also i have a cough..and i'm hoping it doesn't cause my grafts to push out some from all the force.

I'm considering getting a laser comb if it cuts back the dht levels..I can't use any kinda propecia products..so I am going to topical ways to cut back dht.I use nizoral and let it stay in my hair for 5 minutes before rinseing. I've also ordered some spironolactone 5%.

I ended up not using Dr Lehr. He wanted to put my hairline back further than it was and told me he could do me 20 to 25 hairs per square cm density. I felt this was too conservative for me. I ended up using Dr Boles from Georgia and got a 2173 fu transplant. I'm awaiting my results..here are some pics.

I wouldn't waste my time on 1000 grafts...You will be disappointed

Yes I had three valium before the procedure was over..and they didn't help much.. My doctor didn't use Lidocaine..Just the epinephrine..and it really made me sick and nauseated.. and almost fainted..i thought the palpitations where gonna kill me.He learned to just do a couple of shots at a time and let my heart race and calm down before continueing.Do most docs use lidocaine as a vasoconstrictor, because of its less side effects?..so I will know for next time..

I'm curious of the different products doctors use that stops the bleeding. I just had a HT and got 2173 grafts..I had a bad reaction to the injections that slow down bleeding.It was something called ephinadrine..or something like that.It caused me to have palpitations... If I decide to get another transplant , I'll have to use something other than that..like plane Zitacane or adrenalin..or? Has anyone else been sensative to the shots that slow bleeding?

I haven't seen anything on this site about him. I'm still researching...Didn't know if anyone has heard anything about him.I have seen that Limmer recommends his needles. I learned that most doctors overcharge for hair transplants and that just because a doctor charges less doesn't mean that he can't deliver the same or better results.So I keep an open mind and take the time to explore all my options..Just have to research them.

What do you guys think of Dr Richard Ochs technique and his endorsements?

I'm exploring all my options..Is there any other Doctors besides Lehr that might go down to 3 dollars a graft..for a megasession?

the main point is to ensure that each hair exists the scalp in a natural way or angle, without appearing unnatural. I have heard that you can make the illusion of more hair and use less hair... using angulation and direction..How is that so, if you are putting it in with the same direction as your existing hair ? Most of the hair on the top of the head barely has an angle..isnt' that easy to accomplish with needles?

What size needles does he use? .7,.8 and .9? What kinda density did he do for you?(Per square cm) Did he do any work on your temple area?..I'm curious how it turns out when a needle is used to make the angle on the temple area? Anyone got any pics? I have done research on Dr Lehr and he has good creditentials,good before and after pics.Usually end up with many extra free grafts...and the best price..Seriously considering him..
