  1. I don't have pics of the guys I talked to and seen their scars with tattoos of hairs on it. But I do know that one of them had it done 4 years ago and it covers over his scar great. I just had mine covered up with hair tattoos. Actually I had a part of my scar that was like a 2" by 1" area of nothing but white and red scalp done. I it had tattooed for $80.00 and I will post it for you in about a week when it has healed more for you to see the results..but it looks so much better..I am really glad I did it. I plan on having him do my entire scar and put me in some dots in my frontal area for more density.I have black tattoos on my body and they are 10 years old..and they never turned blue or any other color..so I feel good about it.Yes, I waited like 2 years to have work on my scar done.. I could have done it at 8 months but I didn't know that cosmetic hair tattooing was an option.I don't think Jaimie Foxx's tattoo is the same kind of cosmetic tattoo we are talking about. As you can tell, I don't work for any doctors..I'm just trying to help you guys out.
  2. I have had my scar tattooed to cover it up. You don't have to go to a special expensive cosmetic specialist to do it either. Any half way descent tattoo artist can make a bunch of dots small slashes on your scar.. If you have dark brown or black hair it makes it even easier.I have talked to people that have had tattooing done on scars..and it does work...The color will eventually fade in time..but will still cover your scar..never heard of black becoming blue on a tattoo..or brown turning red.It does a great job. Some people even have a bunch of dots added to their frontal to make it appear more full.(Way cheaper than having another transplant)You can get it done for $100.00 or less.Hair transplant doctors and surgeons wouldn't want you guys to know what I have just shared with you.
  3. I had talked to Dr Och's a couple years ago..and was going to get a 4000 graft HP..He told me that he had changed his methods to FU just like all the other drs.. after going to nuhart and having to get two transplants to get 4000 grafts..I wish I would have gone to him. I would like to hear from any of you on here that has had a HT from him.
  4. Just curious, I think the most common cut from the donar area is 1 cm from ear to ear. For a person with average density, about how many grafts would that yeild?
  5. Well I ask that because I have learned not to trust anyone when it comes to money. People are in this business to make money. Not to be Noble.the more money..the better..and most all Look and sound professional. You just have to take that chance I guess...I honestly believe people are cheated out of grafts more than we suspect..just being honest. Anyways..I had my second HT(Feb 22nd) and will post my results in 6 months.I had 2400 grafts done this time.
  6. I was wondering if there is any way to know for sure that you are getting as many grafts as you are getting charged for in a large session? It seems like with your head numb and on valium that you could never count how many they are really doing..and with shock loss after the procedure ..i don't think you could ever prove that you got cheated some...or that they "accidently miscounted"

  8. Yes..especially older patients that want a hair line thats doesn't look receding..I think if they want a normal hair line and would like it thin in the back..and use consealers..that is their perogative...as long as the dr has informed them of what to expect..is my opinion..(anyone not working for a doctor agree with me?)
  9. As long as we are giving our opinions on here..In my opinion(I'm not on anyones side),I'm glad there are doctors our there that will give their customers what they want. If they want a descently low hair line and would rather use concealers behind it when they get older..than that is what they are paying for..If they wanna chance it that cloning will come along or that they can use body hair to help there density behind their hair line..then they have that right. Do I feel a doctor should dictate what i can look like when i get old..no don't. I have a grandfather inlaw who never had surgury and his hair line is 2 inches lower that mine..naturally..lots of old men have good hair lines..It actually makes them look younger than they are.. There are some people that think old men shouldn't have tattoos...should the tattoo artist dictate where they may recieve their tattoos on their bodies?..I don't think so. I think it is fine for a doctor to give his opinion and recommend getting a high (mature) hair line ..but am also glad that there are doctors that let the people decide for themselves what kind of plastic surgery they can have and how they can look.I hope I haven't offended anyone with my opinions.
  10. Yes..to use blades or not to use blades ..that is the question that is of debate...
  11. [i scheduled a HT session with Dr. Robert Leonard in RI for the end of September. He believes that I need two sessions-considered a "class 6"- with a small bald spot left in the crown area. Just curious how many grafts he is doing for you on each session..and how much per graft?
  12. Look under search on this website and you will see discussions on this topic. "Most" are the people I have talked too about it..Surgeons and other informed patients
  13. Yes mine was done with needles. There are recommended surgeons from this site that also use needles..Limmer, Lehr, ect. Most say its not so much of an issue of using needle or blades, but the skills used to use them. Its just that i hear blades cause less trauma and shock loss.
  14. I paid $2.00 a graft with Nuhart in Atlanta Georgia ..got 2173 grafts..It was worth the flight.I checked alot of other places first..I have learned that, in getting a hair transplant its a jungle out there..everyone trying to get as much money as they can from you..There is also a Dr in California named Richard Ochs that will do $2 a grafts with 10% off for travel. He has been doing it for many years and uses blades not needles.
  15. Anyone know how long after a hair transplant that you have to wait to put in hair color..I use "Just for Men" to hide the grey..

  17. yes, but even after hair transplants you have to keep using something to keep your existing hair..I was hopeing someone would tell me that xandrox was working good for them..cause it seems is the easiest(and least expensive) thing to do in the long run and without decreasing the dht in my body..thus decreasing libido.
  18. I'm considering using xandrox instead of using spironlactone..I have to use one of these since I can't use propecia...Surely some of you have had experience or knowledge on this stuff..
  19. I was wondering if any of you have had good results with Dr Lee's products..If so which ones?

  21. If we are honestly giving opinions, I think that unless you shave your head and go with the trend of being shiney bald..Most women are impressioned by your hair line..and most will even admit it..Yes a good personality and confidence help..but you only get one first impression that may enable you to see the woman again so they can see how good of a person you are... I believe you are right about the older women not caring as much..(because they many imperfections themselves)Anyways thats my unsugarcoated opinion...Hair transplants are a good thing..
  22. My instructions say I can swim after 7 days..just wear a cap when you are directly getting sun on your head..
  23. I think you are doing the right thing..Haven't seen your pics..but it sounds like you need a good mega session...and you are right..most women are concerned about a hair line..Just do a alot of research and get the most hair for your money..(Doesn't always take a top surgeon to achieve this)
  24. Just curious, Was wondering if any of you guys that have had a hair transplant have a lot of swelling at the donar scar the day of and next few days after surgery? Mine was swelled up like a half inch off of my head at the scar area. It felt really tight like it was gonna bust.It has gone down now, because its been 11 days, but still fills tight as I have not removed my stitches yet.I was wondering if this is common?
