  1. scooping around, Thanks for putting up your pics for all to see. Would you definitely put more up in a few months? It helps us all. Also, I find it's less obvious that my hair is thinner if I wear it shorter on top.
  2. petesman, After reading your posts, It's making me strategize/think of a good way to prevent the cycle of looking at my hair 6-dozen times a day, because I know that's how it usually goes after an HT! I think I'm going to start by blocking all my mirrors including my rear view mirror. Thanks for the motivation and good luck with your new HT!
  3. HairLossCure, I think you made an excellent point and aren't beating a dead horse at all but might have saved a newbie's donor area for another few years or so. In the worst case scenario a hack-job clinic gets ahold of him and that's it. Thanks, again!
  4. 23newjersey, Like Mrjb said: Propecia for sure. If it works for you--no bad side effects that is, and do not, do not give up hope even if you lose more because transplants are only getting better and if you persist, I'm betting someday you'll have a full head of hair again.
  5. raj_shri99, You're getting your feet wet, raj, and it takes little or no time to get over that--the hang of the meds that is. I can't advise on Minoxidil, but with HTs at the point there at now, you have excellent chance of a good looking head of hair. Study the before and after photos and talk to the knowledgeable people here and you'll come out ahead! I've had no side effects of Propecia, and as you know many don't.
  6. Prophet, Thanks for posting your photos for everyone to see!! It helped me gage where I'm going with my Next HT. I have almost the exact hair-loss pattern as you. My procedure is coming up in July 07 with guess who? Dr. Hasson!! I am also scheduled for 3500 grafts. Who knew it could ever come to this: A full head of hair again--with all the strides that have been made in hair restoration lately! Your hair looks awesome!!
  7. Tony, I just saw one of the photos you put up and read that you had lots of Neosporin on it -- showing the donor area. Did your clinic tell you to do this? If not double-check because with such a big wound it might do more harm than good but double-check! Good luck.
  8. Jiggy, Nice HT!!! Does Dr. A use staples to close the donor?
  9. Chron, You really got to feel lucky to be in 2007 with hair loss. Back in the day there wouldn't be a chance really. Get a prescription of Propecia asap! Walk in to any clinic, pay the visit and walk to a pharmacy or go to Propecia and they'll mail directly to you. 2) Start reading everything you can and get educated on hair loss/hair transplants from the websites on this forum and other members--that's a livesaver!!! Your morale will start to come back for sure!! P.S. Don't miss a dose of the Propecia.
  10. Aquarius, " Clinics always use new blades because it's so crowded"? What?? What?? I don't even understand what your trying to say. If that was interpreted to what I wrote, you got stuck in a Mash re-run trying to read my post. And if you have the extra time and money to spend flying from state to state to check out clinics do it!! The long time guys here have already done most of the footwork!!!
  11. Anouar, There have to be good doctors out there coming up in the ranks so to speak, but why research it first-hand? A few members on this site have paved the way, checked on these clinics and doctors first-hand--that's awesome!!!! Its really being handed to everybody who wants to take adcantage of it.
  12. Hey there, For starters it isn't as black and white as your making it out. That is, and if you really look closely, you'll see some crown work still needs to be done with a severe hair loss case. 2) There is a good amount of time involved for the hair to fully come in and not just seeing one picture to the next. The good news though is HTs have come a longggg way in just the last couple of years!! The area being transplanted only needs 50% of the hair put back to give it a full appearance or even less, and the bottom line is this: There are testimonials and before and after pictures and a few doctors doing really big sessions with real results and there is no bettter proof than that. I can think of one in particular, but the awesome results are happening and when you find the heavy-hitter doctor you'll know! Good luck!!!
  13. Neptune, I didn't read all the posts to see if your anticipating another HT or if your donor's finished. You got to be happy though at this point!
  14. Hey there, I've heard of "Pro Thick", let me know if you find out, okay?
  15. Hello, I can say with complete certainty that just for the fact that too many people are involved in a doctor's office-- especially in a surgery situation that you would be getting new blades each and every time!!!
  16. Alec, A mega-session is a big hair transplant session! No messing around for years-- just get it done. 3500 grafts minimum, and I just have a bit more to go. When I got my first HT a few years ago I was lead to believe that 800 grafts was enough to just fill in the "corners" of my hairline. 5000 thousand should have been the remedy. Keep getting knowledge and when you think you've exhausted yourself your just warming up. Good luck-- I should say work hard!!
  17. Charles, If you learn more and more, and you do things the way the clinic tells you you'll see how simple the whole process can be. If you need more hair transplanted in an area or just more in general, get a mega-session!!! Some of the before and after photos are amazing!!!!
  18. Pcc, I was just replying to your post, when I suddenly lost my screen. Let me know if you received my message. Thanks.
  19. Just saw your post about pitting. Would you or someone describe what pitting is. Thanks!
