  1. This is definately normal don't worry about it. Like Irish said you could use something like aloe vera to sooth the redness and make the pinkness dissapear.
  2. Hey Ralph, Uneven growth is perfectly normal, so don't worry. Hair Follicles are complicated things and maybe the hair that is not growing on your right was more affected from the DHT. Relax, like MRJB said wait until about 12-14 months before you make any kind of substantial judgements. If after this time you are still seeing no hair growth on the right hand side consult with your doctor.
  3. Hey Babyscholar, That sounds pretty hopeful let us know how you get on.
  4. Hey dhuge67, Have you tried combining provillus with propecia? They both affect different stages of DHT and can be used together with no side effects or anything. Just a suggestion.
  5. Hey everyone, From what I have read and learned in the past propecia is ineffective for women anyway. From what I have come to learn as well, propecia may affect pregnant women and in turn their babies. Do not take this as medical fact though because its not a proven side effect, just what people have said after they had used it. Anyway, that's that out of the way. The main natural hair loss products are: Hair Genesis Provillus Rogaine Spectral DNC They can all be used by women, and the main reason why most products cant be used by women is the pregnancy factor. Hope this helps
  6. Hey Andy, I have read those reviews and I have to admit that some of it seems a little scary at first glance, the idea that it can cause all of those side effects is unbeleivable. Like you say some of them could possibly be marketing ploys by their competition, who knows. Like hairbank has said you can try it for a few months to see how you go.
  7. Hi everyone, I've just written a review about this based on peoples feedback. I found out that Provillus and propecia can be used together as they both tackle different phases of DHT production. Its natural and has no sexual side effects which a lot of DHT inhibitors do. It comes in tablet and solution but the solution can only be bought in the US for some reason. It also has a 90-Day money back guarantee which I think is a really great ploy. The only negatives I know are that some people had stomach problems for a few days after they started taking it, and that some people have an allergic reaction to its main ingreadient Saw Palmetto. 8. Hi Chron_P, I am pretty sure you can get a free consultation from your doctor, he should point you in the right direction. Our medical service over here (NHS) in the UK is different to anywhere else, I went to see a specialist and had the treatment for free but the waiting list was a joke, anyway thats another story The products can be quite expensive, I use a combination of things and the cost really does mount up. For example propecia can cost $50 to $60 a month. I use that with Rogaine, it seems to have more of an effect, which a lot of other people have said as well. But propecia on its own is really great.
  9. Hey Hairbank, Thanks, I would have been waiting all year for a reply. I have sent him a message about the side effects, hopefully I will get one back, not much hope though seeing as its nearlt 2 years since his last post. This site is really great and everybody knows what they are talking about, theres a lot of other sites out there, but this has to be the best.
  10. Hey, This type of treatment is a scalp soother and and contains aloe vera which is proven to help thicken the hair. It is nothing different to what is out there now, It is not really a product that helps hair loss dramatically. It is good for use with chemicals such as minoxidil as it will soothe the scalp after this type of treatment. Also if anybody has used it, let me know so I can write a review of it.
  11. Hey Robert, You have got quite a range of treatments their, which is the right idea to battle it from several angles. Would just like to ask if you have noticed any side effects from using all these treatments together? I see that you have been using them for quite a while and you seem pretty knowledgeable about the products you use. Would like to know so I can inform and help other people.
  12. Hey Willie, To answer your first question the differnece between Nizoral 1% and Nizoral 2% is that the 2% solution is more concentrated than the 1% solution. It is a little bit stronger and will require a precription. If you want to combat hair loss you should'nt really be using Nizoral as there are much better treatments out there for you. Nizoral is primarily used to treat dandruff and irritations of the skin. Like the other guys have said you will need something that promotes hair growth but also puts a stop to the hair loss. To combat hair loss and promote regrowth you are best attacking the problem from several angles, by taking tablets, using solutions and using shampoos. Hope this helps.
  13. Hi Chron, You have received some great advice so far. Like you I had hair loss from a young age, I was 21 when I first realised. Yours sounds like it's heredity and MPB which is to do with DHT and testesterone. You say that you have had it since you where 17 and your 20 now. You have a better chance than most to combat hair loss because you havn't had it for that long, your hair follicles might still be able to promote hair growth, they may just need a kick up the back side. Products that contain DHT inhibitors and growth stimulants are probably best for you. But however, I would reccommend first to go and see your doctor who will refer you to a specialist and determine which treatment is best for you. Judging from the pictures you will probably need something like propecia which come in the form of tablets. You should also use shampoos to combat it from several angles.
  14. Hi Maria, Think you have come to the wrong place for that kind of information. The best site I can think of for you is www.haircutadvice.com, it has all sorts of information on there, you should find what your looking for.
