I'd say 2 days tops unless the clinic happens to be closed for whatever reason.
Thanks Janna!

Slightly? A day or two for most
Well some advice was to contact his doctor to ask his questions so the question of how long it should take a doctors clinic to respond to an email or two popped in to my head.

wantego,
You are absolutely right. As I said above, always check with your own hair restoration physician to get their immediately postoperative instructions.
The above is what I used.
Best wishes,
Bill
Slightly off topic but I was curious how many days do you think it should take a doctors clinic to answer an email question?

I hear your concerns.
Dr. Epstein is working with this patient and replacing all grafts that did not grow for free. His case has been discussed on a previous thread and is the exception rather than the rule. Though it's discouraging to be one of the exceptions with poor hair growth, I believe he is doing the right thing by going back to an exceptional surgeon who will do anything to make things right.
Best wishes,
Bill
That is really great. I respect that the doctor is standing by his patient like that. I hope it works out in a fantastic way for both patient and doctor!

I think its also good to speak to your own doctor and get his instructions on paper since many doctors instructions vary.

Bobby i was told not to do any rubbing and they would fall out in 2-3 weeks on my paperwork. Have you been given any instructions by your doctor? Is there a need to rub them in the first 10 days before they are fully secure?

If this question is out of line just tell me but I'm curious about going back to the same doctor. He may be a great doctor so please dont take that the wrong way. I was just curious if this is a make up session or if you are having to pay full price again.

it doesnt matter how many procedures u have its not going to satisfy you. hairtransplants are an elusion. u werent happy with the first so what makes you think the second will be different.ive had two procedures and the second was a worse mistake than the first. dont let them scar the back of your head up anymore
But havent there been a lot of people not satisfied with their 1st or 2nd HT's that ultimately did like their last HT? Why not think positively for him?

Best of luck with your procedure.

Thanks Arie. I had a friend trim the hair there a little bit so that she and I could see it. It looks like a little wound but she cant tell if there is an ingrown hair It is right at an area where the doctor went from the straight line in the back of my head upwards to start up towards my ear. Hopefully it is a minor issue.

I have an area on the left back of my head that is tender to my touch. It almost feels like a pimple back there. I've tried my best to see it but no luck because even having hair at a short length held aside I still cant see it. Any wisdom or advice? I do not know what it is

Thanks guys. I guess after investing so much of myself in to this procedure I may get a bit over cautious at times.

OK hopefully you all are right and I'm just a paranoid 1st time HT patient.

It seems many doctors have conflicting words on the crusts. Dr Rahals paper work says no picking they will fall out on their own in 2-3 weeks. They are mostly gone. The remains are not attached to the scalp but loose particles attached to the hair.
-
I have babied my grafts for over 4 weeks. Nothing not even a ball cap has touched them. I have worn the doctors blue surgical caps on the rare occasions I have left the house. Tomorrow I will have to wear a baseball cap. Should I be nervous about this? Any advice?

Many of my crusts are falling off. Some remain. I cant help but be alarmed when I see the hairs falling out with the crusts even though my paperwork says this is normal. Should all my crusts be gone at 4 weeks? Most are gone. Some are loose particles but remain in the hair. Does all the hair fall out? Does most of it? Or does most of it stay? Sorry if these are too many questions.

I wore the lightweight blue surgical caps my doctor gave me. 1 guy in an elevator asked me if I was a doctor. I was in another country where nobody knew me so I actually got a kick out of not caring what people thought in regards to how I looked

Hey best of luck with your surgery. I hope you get fantastic results!

Its obvious if hes a doctor but not telling us this is EXTREMELY deceptive in a thousand ways.
Its sneaky and I dont see him as a Bspot ,Spex,Jotronic anymore I see him as a sneaky guy trying to put cash in his pocket.
Bill ,when did you know he was the co-owner.
I hope today
I totally agree that he should let people know about his associations via his sig but to be candid your previous post seemed pretty harsh.

How did so many come off at once? Was that on purpose? Mine are coming off a little each day lately.

Was anyone sad to see some of the crusts or hairs go? I wanted them to leave because I know that is how the process works but it was cool seeing them because it gave an idea what my hairline will hopefully look like. I have mixed emotions seeing some leave in the last few days.

Has anyone ever got a ingrown hair in the scar line area?

Thanks for all the great replies. The warm compresses did seem to help. It was really just 1 small area in my donor area and the tenderness seems to have gone away.
