  1. We've operated on multiple people in this family, starting with the son, who is now about 6 months out from his 2nd case; the dad who is about a year out, and the uncle who is about 6 months out.  And the aunt is scheduled for tomorrow.

We did a brief interview.....which was supposed to be with the entire family but their tesla ran out of juice and half the family was delayed 2 days!

Hopefully next year we can get all 4 in one video.

  2. Its time for our yearly venture to ski.  As usual..if you are already a patient of ours and want me to buy you a lift ticket to ski a run or 2 with us...contact the office.

And I'm happy to do preliminary evaluations like I do every year if you're considering a hair transplant with us.

Finally, we'll do the usual ski challenge at snowbird friday jan 28...meaning if you're our patient and you want to ski a challenging run better than I can....and that gets easier to beat me every year...you can save 1000.00 on any service we offer.  The ski off is judged my the rest of our group.

2 years ago, a female as awarded a tie and got 500.00.

To book a visit or hook up for the ski off, please call the office and Wendy will set you up.

  3. This fellow had had 2 hair transplants by a competent doctor but just lacked in growth.  He's had significant stressors in his life and a lack of hair added to his low self esteem.

Its rare for me to suggest that any cosmetic surgery changes a person's life..but in this case, I do think getting a bit more hair has given him confidence to change his own life.

  4. This younger guy has significant early growth....enhanced appearance wise by his bushy wiry hair.  He's fairly local and a bit uptight...which is good...gets people to clean and follow the cleaning instructions better.  So I think we'll get a final result next summer.

    Merry Christmas.

  5. This 40 year old fellow had 3 or maybe 4 strip cases by 2 other doctors with minimal results...except a smaller bank account and lots of scarring.   Depsite living near our office he didn't come for cleaning and did a poor job...YET...he turned out well.  We left side loaded his surgery so that he could style and part his hair and look UNREMARKABLE at conversational distance.

  6. This younger guy had awful FUE results.  Now he's a bit challenging in that he's young, has fairly fine hair, and a significant color contrast.  We did a strip repair and interview him at 14 months.  Since I shot this video..he has had a second case and we did just what we discussed.  We put 200 singles and 100 doubles along the hairline and the rest was behind the first case.  I suspect we'll get a final video shot about a year from now.

  7. Here's the first of a couple of new videos we recently shot showing us repairing low or no yield fue cases with strip.  This fellow was particularly anxious and it took some patience on both our sides to get him through the case.  He popped in and did this short video.

In this series of video shoots we also include us using FUE to repair a failed strip...so it is not always the technique that is the issue...but more often than not it seems to be a failure to educate the prospective patient on the pros and cons and successes of strip vs fue.  And since this was shot...we've seen 2 devastating..yes devastating cases of fue butchery.  One from Europe, one local, where not only no yield, but donor site depletion and recipient site infection and scarring are likely unsalvageable without a hair piece.

Make sure you look at cases your doctor has done...that have grown in...before you sign up for a bargain.

  8. This guy is one of our more fun patients and he stopped by and did this short interview.   He looks UNREMARKABLE and still has a bit of hair greed.  Even with his finer hair, the salt and pepper hairs barely contrast with his white skin and he is living life to the fullest after 2 cases with me.

  9. In this short video we discuss Dr. Beehner's small study showing increased survival with non-cold storage of grafts.  While its a small study, I applaud him for questioning the status quo.   Ultimately, getting the case done efficiently, without traumatizing the roots, and graft out of body time under 6 hours, are likely the most important factors in hair survival for most non-smoking patients.

It'll be interesting to see if further research adds to this finding.

  10. In this short video we see a Vietnamese fellow 7 months after we did an FUE repair of his previous FUE done elsewhere.  Surprisingly, he's grown ahead of schedule, has great hair, and is likely to look even better at 15 months.  He's local, so I expect we'll get a final video next summer.

  11. In this short video, we discuss and interview our health care patient about his progress thus far.  I"d guess he'sbout half growing and fortunately has no significant color contrast between his hair and scalp but unfortunately has finer hair...at least it is wavy.

I suspect we'll get a year video and will update his progress.

  12. Wendy and I review an article from Dermatologic Surgery that shows that damaged hair roots don't grow as well as undamaged ones.  DUH.   I've been saying this for years, and growing up farming...it only makes sense.

Now you can't do a hair transplant without damaging hairs.  You can't.  But you CAN minimize damage with microscopic dissecion, trained techs, and FUT surgery.  AND if you have to do FUE...you better pick people that have stronger hairs to withstand avulsion, and you need to weigh the advantages of really skinny puches and smaller scars but no "dirt" around the roots versus a slightly bigger punch, slightly bigger scar, and more tissue protecting the root bulb.  Mind you I'm not suggesting a 2mm derm punch like 2 regional doctors are reported to use...but consider going from 0.7mm to 1.1mm in select patients...may be worth considering.  Since I personally abandoned 0.7mm punches and use a 0.9 to 1.1...our fue results have improved dramatically and noone...not army, not marines, not airforce...has had an fue scar concern here, yet.

  13. In this short video I talk with a guy who popped in 2 years out from his frontal case.  I didn't even recognize him both becasue his new hairline made him look a bit younger...and his old hairline used to make him look older than his real age PLUS he'd colored his hair.   He's likely already moved out of our area and I doubt if we'll see him again.  One of the troubles with this kind of medicine is that after things grow in...we rarely see folks again.  This guy was a big star trek geek like me and I'll miss debating TOS vs TNG with him.

  14. In this short video Wendy and I discuss one of our 2 major repair cases from last year.   This well educated professional had a number of failed hair transplants from well known doctors and quite frankly was a hair handicapped.  We did a repair case on him, do a short interview, and will do a 2nd case this fall.  I think we'll be able to get him from looking quite REMARKABLE to not remarkable at all....maybe not having great hair...but not being confined to a hat or odd stares all the time.

  15. In this short video, Wendy and I discuss this fellow...who had TWO previous hair transplants by a reasonably well known doctor.  The patient has had a lot of life stressors that, thank goodness are behind him now.  We did his repair case around Christmas and shot this video at 4 months.  He actually popped in yesterday and 8 months and I told him he was the next video in the cue to go up.  We'll get a final update in Jan 22 and he probably wants to do a bit more in the crown...then deal with the 2 scars...well one bad and one remnant that I excised...from the other doctor.

REMEMBER..this is 4 months.  He has fine hair and a big color contrast.  Final result probably 1 year from now.

  16. In this short video Wendy and I discuss 2 patients, one about my age, and my close friend who is 71.  I'd posted a short update on him a few months ago.  But this shows 2 guys with similar heads at 6 months when about half is growing.  Both are local and I'm certain we'll have 1 year end results on my friend, and the other fellow is likely getting a 2nd case around Christmas.

  17. In this short video, our younger Ethiopian fellow pops in 54 months after we repaired his FUE...well not really and FUE...but PLUGS being sold as FUE.

Look at his previous donor scarring and the little bit of hair he got, and he looks good at 4 and a half years...with a small case of hair greed still remaining.
