I've Seen Dr. Rahal's Work - But Not Impressed
taurusrisen replied to taurusrisen's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
I understand. But I really like Rahal. I think he's one of the best. But I must ask questions that may make people uncomfortable before I decide to actually see him. This is the only way that I can feel safe and confident to ensure hes the right doc for me. -

What I meant is, I'm impressed overall by his work. But if you took the time to read my post (which you shouldve done instead of sounding like an ass), you wouldve read that I saw pics of his patients that didnt look good. As a result, that marred my overall positive impression of him. Why are you so defensive? Were you a patient of his? -

KO, thank you for pming me the 2 links. Poor guy.. I feel bad for his necrosistic scar. But why didnt Rahal do something about this scar if it developed as he gave him the HT? Why didnt this guy in the very beginning see a dermotologist to treat it right away? Why didnt he seek legal advice about this? I really think Rahal is a very good doc. I dont mean to defend anyone. But this may be one of a few cases that will happen to any HT by any HT doc. I need to get mattj's input on this. I dont want this to discourage me from seeing Rahal. -

For some reason when I click on your PM link, it doesnt work. I'd appreciate it if you can send me links to my email address: si.leebo@gmail.com I need to ask, have you had work done by Rahal? Which docs do you recommend that are better? -

But before and after pics is what EVERYONE, young and old, judge a HT doc by. Its the best thing that motivates one to either see that doc or not. What else is there, smoke signals? Guys of any age want thick hair. I've seen 1 year post op pics of old and young guys with thick hair. Its not an age thing. All docs post pics of patients with the thickest hair. So of course patients are goimg to expect what they see in those pics. I originally asked if there were Rahal patients here. Are any of you dissatisfied by his work on you? -

Hey future.. I did look at that section. But the pics there look like theyve been uploaded by the doc, not the patient using his cam or phone. So I'm a bit suspicious of that. I want actual reviews and pics of patients by patients, not by docs. I didnt see any pics by Rahal in it. Maybe I missed it or hes not included. -

You said that the most problematic group for hair restoration is young guys. Are you saying that older guys have a better chance that their HTs will turn out better with less complications (i.e., shock loss) than young guys? -

But Rahal impresses me. Where in my post did I mention I was forced? -

I was thinking of seeing Dr. Rahal to get a HT done after seeing impressive before and after pics of patients on his website. I haven't read any negative reviews about him. But sadly, I recently saw 2 threads by pateints of Rahal who had shown their pics at a year post op. And I got to say, the HT did not look good at all. They were young guys who expected dense hair like patients on his website. I really want to see Rahal. But I dont want to end up looking like those guys. Can anyone who has done a HT with Rahal show their pics to give me confidence in seeing him? Because so far, I really am disappointed. -
I dont get your post. On the one hand, you warn me about getting a HT. Then, in the second paragraph, you sounded a bit sarcastic. Anyway, if your post is an honest and serious one, it sounds like you had a VERY VERY bad HT procedure. Did this involve Finasteride? I searched for complaints on Dr. Rahal. This is the doctor I want to see. One patient of his complained that hes a butcher. But then again, I only found one complaint about him. Nevertheless, now I'm a bit apprehansive about seeing him for a HT procedure. ...

You mentioned that I'll be chasing hair loss all my life. I must disagree with you. For one, I got good genes in terms of hair regression. The only place I need a HT is in the front and temple area, thats all. My hair from the receding point beyond is thick, theres no problem there. And if a HT means "chasing hair loss," then why didnt that stop you and thousands of others from getting a HT in the first place? And, whats the point of fighting HT with "everything i got" if propecia may cause erectile dysfuntion? Wheres the fun in enjoying a HT if sexual health is put to risk? That doesnt make sense. I WILL NOT use propecia EVER.. bottom line. With all due respect, i just dont understand the problem with someone refusing to take a medication thats known to cause serious sexual side effects. ..

Yeah, before I get my hair transplantation surgery, I'm going to tell my doctor NOT to give me any heavy medication or injections like sedatives or pain killers, except for lidocaine. And as far as propecia is concerned, I REFUSE to take that after the surgery. It's a known fact that it causes sexual impotence and in many cases, permanent loss of sexual desire and it definitely causes erectile dysfunction. The most I want is lidocaine during surgery and nothing after surgery. If I feel pain after the surgery, thats too bad.. it'll go away in days. My sexual health comes first! ...

Are There Doctors Better Than Dr. Rahal?
taurusrisen replied to taurusrisen's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Hi, YouOnlyLiveOnce... just to add comment to what you said, but, dont all hair translpant surgery involve long term approaches? I'm 41 and I prefer not to post any pics at this time. Thanks. -

I compared H&W to Rahal. My sister and 3 friends compared them also. And we ALL agree... rahal provides more densly packed work than H&W. Like I said, all 5 of us agree. And not only that, but rahal fills the forehead and temple area unlike h&w who only fills the top. If you dont agree with this assessment, then I dont know what else to say. I hope your not one of those hair transplant patients who got work done by h&w and now feel bad that you didnt get work done from rahal. Dont get offended, its just a thought. .. -

Hi, loranzo. Yeah, I compared h&w to rahal. And I got to say that rahal seems like he leaves the scalp more densely packed. I got to believe what my eyes tell me. the only gripe I got with rahal is his price. Hes asking for $7,000. Thats pretty damn expensive. and thats not including hotel and other expenses. -

Hi.. i checked hasson and wong and i was not impressed by their work at all. Theyre not as good as rahal, based on what little density i saw. -
I'm thinking about going to Dr. Rahal VERY soon to get my hair transplant surgery done. Based on what I've seen, I think he's the best. But, based on your experiences with other doctors, do you think there's a doctor who's better than him in creating packed, densed hair? ..
