  1. Dewayne for the number of grafts you had it looks great! you have a very nice coverage. Congratulation to you and Dr. Cooley for his nice work
  2. Nice work done by Dr. Wong and it seems like the grow just started. Just be patient and you will be amazed in 2 months when all new hair start coming out. Congratulations
  3. Guys I got your message and will post new pictures in a few days. Thanks for your feedback & recommendations Bruce
  4. thanatopsis_awry I am not sure if you read carefully people's comments or feedback but as you can see I am more than happy with the result and that is the most important to me. As far as pictures I will provide some closeup pictures in the near future. Bruce
  5. Hi guys, I just uploaded 2 new photos showing the amazing result after just 5 months and half. I have to say that the result at this stage is exceeding all my expectations. I hope these pictures will convince people who are not yet familiar with Dr. Mohebi about his great artistic talent and professionalism in the world of HT. My HT has been a great and amazing experience for me and so far no one has even noticed that I had a HT.
  6. I updated my photos with 2 new pictures a few days ago on my web blog or you can see them on this threat: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/showthread.php?t=154746 I am sure that my future photos will prove to certain persons on this forum that they were wrong and too pessimistic about Dr. Mohebi and he is one of the few and best talented HT surgeons. Bruce
  7. Hi guys, I just added 2 new pictures showing 4 months after my HT. It seems like the new hair has finally decided to come out :-) I really notice the difference since 2 weeks ago. It's amazing even my colleagues have been noticing the difference. So far I am extremely happy with the result knowing that I still have 4 to 6 months to see the final result. Bruce
  8. I am sure I am not the first and only person to ask this question but when I look at some of patients pictures, I am shocked to see the poor density or coverage of transplanted hair compared to the number of grafts. I don't want to name some of the few doctors on this site but when I look at their patients pictures, I really don't think that they really implemented the number of grafts as they pretend. It would be great if there is a common practice and method to calculate the exact number of grafts before the hair transplant and provide this information to the patients. As you know we already pay a lot of money as patients to have a HT so we are also expecting to get an accurate number of grafts. I think that will bring more transparency to the HT practice and also protect the patients from dishonest HT surgeons.

  10. Great result Billony. I have 2 questions for you. 1- Are you splitting finasteride into 5 small pieces to get the 1mg dose (5x1mg)? 2-have you been taking other medicine other than finasteride ? Thanks
  11. I was wondering if someone has additional news when it comes to the use of stem cells to fight the baldness? I did a search on this forum and I am amazed not to find a single thread talking about this subject. This is an article + a video on MSNBC talking about the use of stem cells and the positive results on hair regroth on mice. Article -> http://allday.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/01/29/617362.aspx Video -> http://video.msn.com/?mkt=en-us&brand=msnbc&vid=3b25104...3d-a6fc-e749264afc01

  13. FenderPlayer you got a good density but I was excepting to see a larger area covered by 3100 grafts. Can you Let us how Dr Feller is calculating the number of grafts? I also saw in other patients of Dr. Feller that he does not cover the edge and around the transplanted areas. Is there a reason for that? Thanks for your reply.
  14. In my case, 90% of transplanted hair started shedding after the 2nd week of the surgery. As "omviki" said that would be nice to get some feedback from people using Rogaine after their HT and see if this helps to retain the transplanted hair. In my case my doctor just prescribed me to Finesteride and recommended me to take it at least 2 weeks before my surgery and keep taking it for at least 8 months after the HT.
  15. I agree with everyone. you paid too much for the number of grafts you got. Next time shop better around and you might get the double of grafts for what you paid. Anyway I wish you the best post-surgery and a good grow.
  16. What an incredible transformation !!! Awesome job & result. Congratulation.
  17. BM, You will be in good hands with Dr. Ross. He was on the list of my favorite surgeons in South California. He is doing a great job and I am sure you will get a great result. I will be updating my pictures on a monthly basis. Good luck with your surgery.
  18. BM, I just uploaded 2 recent pictures after 1 month post-operation. As you see I had all transplanted hair 10 days post-op but my doctor told me not to get too excited since I will be losing it pretty soon and the real grow will start in a few months. So I am just being patient and waiting to see as they will be blooming :-) Don't postpone what you can get done today. I made this mistake to wait 3 or 4 years before going for HT. To be honest I was a little bit worried about the whole procedure (cutting the donor area, etc.) but It was a great experience.
  19. Thanks johnd2442 & BM. I will be posting some new pictures soon. As of today (1 month post-op), I almost shed 85% of transplanted hair as I was expecting. However I have this itching sensation under my scalp and my donor area which is a positive sign of some grow and healing.
  20. I am not sure if there is any magic shampoo that can prevent hair from becoming thinner. Of course there is a huge and lucrative business out there with prices ranging from 5 to 50$ for a shampoo. The Hair follicle is located pretty at a deep level of your scalp and I don't think that any of these shampoos can reach so deep within your scalp and help rejuvenate your follicles. Again I am not a doctor and that would be nice if some physicians can give their opinions about these "special shampoos". I rather go with a proved solution such as Finesteride (Propecia) which reduces and blocks the DHT.
  21. Thanks hairthere, I can not wait to see the final result. I know I have to be very patient.

  23. Hi guys, I just added 2 new photos to my album showing the result after 11 days post-surgery. I can be more happier than that. It's been already 11 days after my hair transplant and as you can see the result is perfect. So far I haven't noticed a single hair loss yet but I am expecting that I might loose them within the next 3 months before they grow back. The recipient area is not soar or swollen anymore and the scar on the donor area is healing smoothly. It still has some itching sensation on this part but hey it's only 11 days after surgery. You are welcome to give your comments. Thanks Bruce
  24. Hi Hoper, check the following link to learn more about different techniques http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/showthread.php?t=152569 I know that some surgeons close the donor area by using a zig zag pattern in order to reduce the scar appearance. A technique that is used widely in cosmetic surgery.
  25. bllorayne, As you might know prices range from 4 to 10/graft and this is something that you need to negotiate with your surgeon. Depending on number of grafts, availability, etc. you might get some discounts. Personally I got my HT done with Dr Parsa Mohebi around 10 days ago (Check my HT) and he's done a amazing job on me. I know that for a while he had a special discount for new patients. Call his clinic to get further information. BUT Remember "You get what you pay for" and when it comes to your HT, don't play the cheap guy. Choose a talented surgeon who performs excellence because you don't want to mess with your limited hair. BTW, I will be updating my pictures by Monday so you can see the great quality of his work 10 days after my HT. Bruce
