  1. I tried topical fin in the past and got sides on it and if I got sides on the topical then I’m likely to get sides on the pill form. topical dut is supposed to go less systemic, it’s what he recommended. if possible I’d like to not go on regular fin. Tbh I’m already the type of guy to worry about sides so I’d probably nocebo myself into sides. But if I have to I’d try it…probably .25 mg 3 times per week
  2. Just an update: Day..11? I have most of the scabs off! Not all of them mind you, but enough to know how it looks. This definitely motivates me to continue with the topical duta on Monday and Friday
  3. So I am starting to feel tightness, but only in the very back (where it’s next to impossible to actually stretch) and it’s not a lot of tightness, I can just tell it’s tight and it feels like it’s being..held in a mild/medium stretch constantly. I did scalp exercises and I think they helped a lot. I also think that the back will get relaxed as it creates more skin due to the constant stretching. I think this should be a one and done as long as the topical dutasteride works and de-miniturizes the non transplanted hairs I have. Not really looking for a lot of regrowth with it, though that’d be a great bonus! He did tell me to get the xyon health duta and he uses it himself. Currently only applying it to the miniaturized area but I’m probably going to start using 2 pumps to apply to more of my scalp once a week. If I tolerate that with no sides then I’m moving to twice a week, Monday and Friday. I’ll attempt to get a picture of the scar but that might not be possible till I get the stitches out. I don’t mind the questions
  4. It’s 3 days post-op and scabs are now forming. It looks like fewer grafts than I initially thought, but I know that’s just me being paranoid. im definitely going to be relying on topical duta to thicken the existing hair in the middle!
  5. On Monday, April 29th 2024, I had an FUT at Cooley Hair Center with Dr. Jerry Cooley. The procedure went great, I was in no pain at all. I’ve been spraying my grafts, every hour for the first 2 days (once every 2 hours at night) and now once every 2 or 3 hours and none at night. I’ve been sleeping upright pretty successfully. My donor site is still 90% numb and I’ve been unable to take a picture as of yet but it feels good. My scalp doesn’t really feel tight either. It sort of feels tight but it’s not extremely tight and not uncomfortable. I’ll be updating this thread. The first pictures will be a before the procedure and the next day, after they washed it. also everything is starting to itch. Any tips for that? Also I am on Xyon Health’s topical duta that I’ve been using once a week so far. Im taking a 2 week break for the recipient sites to heal. After that I’m probably going to move to twice a week Monday/Friday. That should help reverse the miniaturization of my existing hair.
  6. I agree that it’s nocebo! It doesn’t make sense that I’d get ball ache that quickly. I didn’t even know it was possible for your mind to cause physical pain to itself like that. thanks for the reassurance, I’m a bit of a worry-wart when it comes to side effects.
  7. Just got (and used) my topical duta! However one pump doesn’t seem to be enough to cover my whole scalp. I believe I got where I’m mainly balding and some other parts but I’m not sure if I got everything. Has anyone else had this experience? also, I washed it off after 4 hours. I may have had mild ball ache
  8. So I did find this article on Xyon’s site that has a 10-person pharmokinetic study: https://xyonhealth.com/blogs/library/topical-dutasteride-clinical-trial-results Their 2% topical was judged against 0.5 oral duta daily. The study said the DHT change was -20 approximately. I’m not sure how much that could cause sides (obviously that could cause sides in people sensitive to changes in DHT).
  9. Darn, thanks anyway. I wish they’d publish that information if they have it
  10. Do you know if your body absorbs the entire 20 mg dose over 12 hours or if it absorbs less?
  11. Dang I was planning 4 lol. Idk I’m just scared of side effects considering it’s such a large dose
  12. Did Xyon ever publish any information on the duta’s absorption rate? For example how many mg of duta are absorbed each hour from hour 1 to 12?
  13. Personally, if I’m fighting some sickness my orgasms aren’t as strong. Same deal with orgasm intensity and libido if I’m worried about side effects (which is ironic). Not trying to discount what you’re experiencing just trying to offer other alternatives. when I was on topical fin and got side effects, the…texture of my penis changed, it was more like I had hard flaccid, probably due to something with the prostate. Anyway, that’s another thing you can look for to see if it’s going systemic.
  14. I just got my Xyon today! I’m going to wait and use it Sunday afternoon for 4-6 hours before washing it off. Using it once a week. Just don’t want to have side effects
  15. Have you had any experiences with side effects? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I just want to get a feel for how people respond to such a large dose.
  16. I could do 4-6 hours in the afternoon on Sunday’s or mondays…I’ll probably do that then. i haven’t received the duta yet, it’s currently being shipped. Anyway, thank you for the suggestions I’ll definitely implement at least some of them!
  17. Why am and not pm? I would think that leaving on for 8 hours would lead to less absorption? I already use gloves when applying (I then wash my hands after regardless). Im also not planning on microneedling when using this it’s way too high of a dose to mess with that imo. If I end up with sides then I guess it’d be back to my 0.25 mg per dose topical lol
  18. The weird thing is that I did wait (a day). Obviously not enough though lol! I’m hoping that duta won’t have the same effect, but the large dose terrifies me. at the moment I have a 0.25 mg/ml topical that I’ve used since August but idk if it’s maintaining or not. I want something that’ll work, but with no sides. Dr. Cooley recommended I switch to Xyon after consulting him for a transplant (mines April 29th and I’m so excited). I’ve heard he uses it as well. Idk. I’m just a little scared or nervous I guess.
  19. I didn’t get sides from Xyon (at least not get) I got it from my own homemade topical. But I had used it for around 6 months but got sides around the 3rd. Thought I’d get used to them but I didn’t.
  20. Just ordered my topical duta! I’m excited but I’m also scared for side effects as I got sides from microdosing topical fin (though I was also microneedling to the point of drawing blood). Why is it dosed so high? 20mg/ml is a lot!
  21. So I ordered my topical duta, but I’m absolutely terrified of side effects (I had sides on microdosing topical fin). Has anyone had any side effects? Can someone explain to me why the likelihood of getting sides using this is very small? I’m planning on using once a week (as instructed by Dr. Cooley)
  22. I don't think anything had changed per say, just that it was such a poor job that it made them question his expertise as a hair surgeon(?) I'm not sure to be honest. Maybe he has a track record of placing multis in the hairline and that's why? I can't find anyone else who's had a similar experience with multis placed in their hairline though.
  23. That makes me feel better about consulting him. I’m glad he’s implementing a “300 single graft on all hairlines” policy
  24. Where do you need a transplant? And thank you that would be very appreciated.
