  1. Your skin looks great, I am so happy for you. What is the plan for the next removal session? Removing only the remaining hairs from the area treated in the previous removal surgery or punching out as well grafts from other parts such as center of the hairline?
  2. As far as I am concerned, It is not regarded as giving up but rather as accepting it. On the opposite, there would be (us, lol) those who try to hide the hairloss, including (but on different levels) combing hair in weird ways, hairtransplants (obvious ones), smp, hairsystems an so on.
  3. Really interested in your case, I hope that everything heals well. Definitely dr. Bisanga is the best for this kind of repairs. Could you post closer pictures? What percentatge of grafts from your hairline has the dr punched out? Regarding medication, moving to dutasteride and 5mg minoxidil is the way.
  4. A doctor named Cotellessa in Spain This is exactly what I thought and what I think. And yes, I want to go with Bisanga but with this punch out approach, not with the "just lower 1cm the hairline" or "remove via laser". I wrote again the clinic and, as I said, the regional advisor told me those were the options (according to the diagosis given by the other doctor he recommended me visiting). I am gonna try to have a in-person consultation in Brussels, I hope this time I manage to do that. My main goal with this thread was having some opinions on whether this is (laser removal, just lower the hairline) a Bisanga's typical approach (I do not think so, but I can be mistaken) or I was just unlucky with my regional advisor and his recommended doctor diagnosis.
  5. No Here is a guy who had his surgery with that dr and now is having his repair with dr. Bisanga
  6. Dr. Lorenzo suggested removing, in the same session, grafts and implating lowering the hairline just a little bit. I also liked this approach, but I know he does three surgeries per day (maybe too much?) and, moreover, I think it is better doing it step by step since I want the best possible outcome (considering all that should be considered when you are a repair patient). Also, during the last months, I have become a big fan of Bisanga 😅.
  7. Hello guys, I had a hair transplant in Spain 20 months ago for frontal area involving about 2.4k grafts. The density is great and the donor is in good shape, but the hairline is not as natural as it should be: angles, some grafts been too thick, some doubles. Even though the result is not a disaster, I am not happy with it. As a conquence, by the 9th month I started searching options for a repair. I had an in-person consultation with dr. Lorenzo and send pictures to other european doctors. Among those, my main choice was and still is dr. Bisanga, because I really like his approach in other cases similar to mine: one (or two) session for removal, another one for implanting in the hairline. No rush, step by step. For that reason, I sent my pictures via their web and I was derived to their regional advisor. He mentioned me that it would be better if I could have a in-person consultation and suggested me visiting another hair transplant doctor in Spain (the advisor also works for this other doctor and I do not know whether he has affiliation with BHR), so that he could send his diagnosis to dr. Bisanga. This other doctor, after examination said that I could 1) remove by laser the first cm and implat there; 2) lower the hairline by another cm. I asked about punching out offending hairs just like dr. Bisanga does, but this doctor said "removing grafts from the hairline is not feasible, no doctors do that, they are implanted different than native and doctors can not extract them properly, it produces scarring, no no no, better use laser". And I was completely lost. Anyway I let my hair grow and decided to wait some months. Last month, encouraged by other recent cases, I sent new pictures to the clinic but the one who answered me was again regional advisor stating that the only options are those mentioned above by this other doctor. To me, it is quite odd, since I feel this would not be, by any means, dr. Bisanga's diagnosis and approach. Could anyone recommend me what to do? Thank you.
  8. Really happy to see you are in your repair adventure now. You have chosen the best. All the best!
  9. Your doctor was obviously right. I would, however, be more worried about the donor, which seems patchy (but maybe it is only like this near the ear).
  10. I spoke briefly to my originial surgeon, and happened what frequently happens: they think the result is great, blabla. And, to some extent, I understand they are just "selling" something and ethics are not relevant there; but, at the same time, I am actually assuming that sometimes they genuinely think the outcome is decent, just because they are not capable of anything better, that is all they can provide you with. Anyway, I did not ask to get my money back just because it would be wasting my time. Yes, I have been talking to different recommended doctors who are specialised in repairs and they showed me very different opinions. I visited some of them, while I contacted others just online. Sometimes I felt that I was an undesired patient for some of them and I also suffered some "weird" situations. In any case, I am not sure about my next steps. If you want, we can communicate to each other via DM since this is your own thread. All the best
  11. The result was really poor, and the outcome was pretty much expected since the very beginning. And those who said "it is not bad for x months" ... "wait until 12 month mark it may improve" showed little to no knowledge or just tried to cheer you up. I assume it is the second, but in doing that they are not helping anyone. I hope you are already in touch with some different doctors. I can understand your situation since I am experiencing the same and being a repair patient is not easy, not only from a surgical point of view but mainly from a psychological one. Anyway, I have to be honest. There is no point is hiding clinic or doctor's name. You may think it may be good in order to take further actions in the future, but it is not at all. Actually it is even worse for other users: had you mentioned clinic/dr's name, other people would potentially have avoided this kind of result.
  12. Yes Dr. Lorenzo: you can search two videos on youtube "Scar and donor repair with recipient extraction to recover a normal Male Baldness Pattern1454/2015" and "1645FUE Grafts.Scar & donor repair w/ recipient extraction to recover a normal MPB pattern1454/2015" Dr. Epstein: one video on youtube "Immediately after FUE removal of 1500 prior placed hair grafts" Dr. Ball: on a different forum and I am aware I am not allowed to share the link, the patient himself is sharing his experience. In this forum there are many cases involving punching out different number of grafts and on this, other forums and youtube many cases of donor repair can be found as well. I am sure you can find even more. "
  13. you look great in your shaved hair, keep it and enjoy life away from surgical procedures
  14. Sorry for being direct but, please, no ink in the head, no wigs/hair systems. Look for someone who is capable of and willing to punch out the grafts on the recipient and put them in the scar. Maybe some bht will be required as well. It will not be perfect, may leave some minimal scarring (if done properly) but you will look natural.
  15. Since you see yourself every single day and look from a very short distance at the mirror, you may find some weaknesses. However, you look completely natural and that is the main goal for a hair transplant or for any other plastic surgery. You must be really happy. Congratulations.
  16. It's a great and natural result, congratulations! I can't actually find those doubles in the hairline. Maybe in the transition zone, but that is common an even required.
  17. I think the patient is having a bad time and it is to some extent understandable, we all know what the first one or two months after the operation are like. If we add to that that it is a repair (with all the emotional wear and tear that the journey entails) and that there may have been certain misunderstandings or communication problems, it becomes even more intense. You are in the worst moment, what you say about the donor area, the amount of grafts extracted is so small that, even if it were weakened at first, the difference would be minimal, especially considering the care with which Dr Bisanga works. It is better that you take some time, rest and come back later with a more global vision of the operation. You have put yourself in the best hands when it comes to repairs, don't get obsessed and you will see how everything ends up going as it should.
  18. In this forum you can find guys that got their missangled/multi/thicker grafts punched out, some cases involving a few hundred and other involving more than 1 thousand. Similar cases can be found in other regional forums. Invest time and resources in doing extensive research. All the best.
