  1. Decent result considering where you started from, but I will say that your donor area (mainly sides) are looking a bit empty, do you have before pics to see if it was always like that?
  2. Got lucky and grabbed a cancelled surgery slot, so I'm pleased to say that I've managed to move my surgery with Dr Bruno Ferreira forward to September 2024 now 😃
  3. They can be quite slow sometimes, it took like a week for Ozen (Bicer's patient coordinator) to reply to me, that was back in August last year. IMHO you are better off going with Pittella if you are a high NW and can afford Pittella's prices.
  4. These results are very inspiring, congratulations on your new look! I think your hairline looks great and will age very well as you get older. Are you any medications? Also do you have any more photos pre-op, curious to see your baseline, particularly your donor prior to 1st surgery? PS: Have you considered trying hair fibres/concealer? It would give you a much more dense look! Thanks!
  5. I believe I replied to you the other day on your other thread as well Up to 20% miniaturization is acceptable anything above could be considered as DUPA. This is something a HT surgeon near me said to me as I also have some miniaturization in my donor, but my donor density is also above average (> 100 FU/cm^2)
  6. Your donor looks good grown out! What microscope did you buy?
  7. Thank you @Gatsby - I think I just need to stop monitoring my progress every 2 weeks lol and wait a few months before comparing progress again. I agree from baseline I have improved so much, but the hair at the top is still fine/brittle in places so the meds need more time to do their thing. I have about 10 more months until surgery so that should be time enough for things to get to a stable state.
  8. Here are some more recent pics, this marks exactly 6 months on meds and about 6.5 months of growing out the hair. Not a drastic improvement, from now I think things will just move very slowly NOTE: still wearing a hair system, hair is a wet/damp here, not fully dry! Top - with harsh ceiling light: Top - with flash light: Top/front - with flash light: Top/front - with ceiling light: Top/front - with less ceiling light: Front - with ceiling light: Crown - with harsh ceiling light: Crown - with flash light: Donor back - good to see my crown dip thinning basically reversed with the meds: C
  9. Thank you @Gatsby @mavigo! I know I got lucky with the Ferreira cancellation. I am very pleased with my choice of surgeon. Thanks for the support!
  10. Not sure about Pinto but Ferreira is €4/graft
  11. From what I know up to 20% miniaturization is fairly normal, anything above could be considered as DUPA. Your case looks fine to me but I am not a dermatologist so it might be better to get a professional opinion. Jump on meds if you haven't already and that will hopefully reverse the miniaturization in your donor area.
  12. Thank you, I feel like results have slowed down since, not much improvement but it's still early only 6 months on meds . By the time I will be going for surgery it will be close to 16 months on meds so hoping for a little bit more improvement! No absolutely no difference whatsoever, I think my body tolerates the drug well.. or perhaps I just have super high DHT Yes I take 0.5mg every day
  13. Thank you! Hopefully you get offered a slot very soon. By the way if you are interested in my starting point and current journey so far, I have documented with photos on my thread below. The second page contains details of my consultation with Dr. BF (sorry for hijacking this thread!)
  14. Fair enough, if you have a link to the Ferreira case that would be helpful. I recently saw this case and his final temple work result looks great:
  15. I think I really lucked out my friend. I sent an enquiry via their website on 3rd August 2023 and I was contacted via email and told: "At the moment, we’re completely full until the end of 2023 for in-person consultations with Dr. Bruno Ferreira. Although we have some rescheduling, these are very rare and the opportunity to have a consultation with Dr. Bruno Ferreira in 2023 is very scarce. I always recommend that you aim for 2024. " I was asked to provide my details and one of the questions included: "Availability to come to consultation with short notice (one week or less); " I basically answered that I can travel to clinic at short notice (I live in the UK so it's a 2 hour flight, relatively cheap) Things were then quiet until 31st October 2023 when I received an email that a cancelled consultation slot became available for mid-November and I had to act fast if I wanted it. I jumped at the opportunity straight away and manage to secure it. I saw Dr. BF in November and liked his surgery plan, whilst I was thinking things over I was given three surgery dates for 2024 should I want it: start of Oct 2024, start Dec 2024, and mid Dec 2024. OR a 4th option for April 2024 for "fast-track" but it would cost 2 EUR/graft extra. Two days later when I got home and decided to go ahead and pay deposit, Oct 2024 was already taken! So I settled on start of Dec 2024. Maybe worth contacting the clinic again and asking them to put you on a cancellation shortlist?
  16. Your results look amazing mate! Very happy for you! I can't wait for my own surgery in Dec 2024 with Dr. BF. I need 2 surgeries as I am a NW5V but I'm confident I picked the right doctor! PS: Do you happen to know what density (grafts per square cm) Dr. BF implanted at, or even the recipient area in square cm2?
  17. I remember speaking to you over reddit regarding Dr Bruno Ferreira. Such a bummer Couto's waitlist is that long.. who are you thinking of going with instead?
  18. I'd say that is a pretty good result considering the scale of your baldness and the number of grafts used! Personally if someone asked me, I'd just own it and say I've had a hair transplant. What's so wrong with investing in your own appearance. IMO take that as a compliment! Regarding the thin areas around your ears, if you look at the pre-op photos you supplied at the start of the thread you can see that those areas were already thin to begin with.
  19. That looks amazing! Just curious what exactly categorised this patient as above average donor? Would you be able to share some stats, eg hair calibre/thickness, hair density per square cm, graft/hair ratio, size of extractable donor area etc?
  20. Only thing you can really do now is either (1) re-implant some hairs back to the area in question in a homogenous pattern, or (2) SMP. I think SMP would work well to mask the overharvesting in your case if you keep the fade at that length you have in the pictures as minimum since your surrounding hair is long enough for it to not look unnatural.
  21. Yes that would be right. Btw it seems that Dr Pittella has put his prices up to 5 USD/graft now if you go for the VIP package where he does mostly everything.
  22. I get mine from Oxford Online Pharmacy - they have tons of discount codes there's usually always a 20% off discount code kicking about. They only sell 2.5mg but if you buy multiple boxes it gets cheaper, eg 3 boxes instead of 1 works out cheaper. You can also buy 5mg Loniten from pilldoctor which you can then half - I have done that a few times when the 2.5mg Loniten at Oxford is out of stock. Alternatively, you can ask Dr Bruno Pinto for a prescription in your name, signed by him. You can take this to any pharmacy in the UK and they can sell you the medicine for much cheaper. I saw in one of @Rolandas videos that he uses 10mg Loniten tablets which he then quarters... not sure where he gets/got those from as he's also based in the UK. I don't think he's active on this forum anymore but it would be good to hear from him if he sees this. 10mg you can probably only obtain via prescription so you would need a doctor to prescribe them for you.
