Hello guys I need advice. I am concerned that if get a hair transplant my hair will fall again due to underlying health conditions that I am not aware of. I’m wondering if there is any tests I can do for my health, gut, or genes to give me a more definitive answer to the hair loss (I know the million dollar question). Also I am concerned of this because I have had my hair grow a lot in the past after starting meds and then I got Covid and was stressed and it all thinned again and stayed as it is now, (never recovered) I suspect some sort of chronic telogen efflueivium, DPH - maybe DUPA (doubt DUPA). Ultimately I am going for a hair transplant soon. The hair transplant will be successful if the hair doesn’t fall from shock loss or any health condition I’m certain of that however I am scared some sort of permanent telogen effluvium is gonna hit. I just don’t know exactly what to do or if I should go for a hair transplant. any advice would be helpful. With this all said the hairloss has been stable for many years on hair loss meds and remains very diffuse, the donor is not bad though and when grown is quite thick. What u guys reckon go for a ht now or wait? I’ve had my hairloss consistent for afew years now with meds and seems no adverse events have caused the hairloss to progress.

Last post for now, sorry once again guys for spam! Ive been to local clinic awhile ago (Hair doctors: bondi, sydney, australia) they said my donor wa s fine and could do work but suggested monxidil first. (been doing it and its fine) With that said they used some tech to scan my hairs and gave me a report. If any of you guys could look at it and give me a run down on what it means, see attached photos. History: On meds for long time: finasteride 1mg daily, oral minxodil 2.5 daily, dutasteride 0.5 3x week hairloss has not progressed for 2+ years (STABLE) donor is questionable and diffuse patterned hairloss 29, fit and decent health, non smoker proposals from gur, turan, laorwong, 3500 first ht, second 1500 mix of beard and donor. wanting a improvement without destroying my donor and or losing any hair on recipient zone, not seeking perfection. Limited expectations.

SORRY TO SPAM YOU GUYS im gonna make afew posts, this is just a to follow up from my last recent post with photos of my hair longer as people requested. INDOOR LIGHTENING, LIGHTS ON, NEAR BIG WINDOWS DAYTIME, some of the photos make the hair look better i think. I don't actually know though because i don't have eyes behind my head and NEVER GROW MY HAIR OUT. History: On meds for years, hair stabilized (on everything tried everything) 29 years old, i think im healthy, fit. proposals from laorwong, gur, turan, eugenixs. they suggest 2 surgeries. First 3500 - fronto, mid. Then beard growths on crown. HLC - they suggest 1500 from donor rest from 1000 beard. i am going to get my crown done with my beard whoever i see also (suggested by most) Hair doctors: said my donor was not bad. THANK YOU WHAT YOU GUYS RECKON?!! A.g

Yeah also i wouldnt wanna lower my hairline id just want to maybe add abit more density on the entire top. Like truthfully it doesnt have to be perfect, ill take any improvement as LONG AS the donor doesnt get too bad and the top of the head doesnt lose any more hairs! im okay with that ill take that trade, im super desperate?! im just trying to understand what is the likeiness that, that will occur that itll actually make it worse?!

Im totally okay with losing hair due to age and or genetics in the future despite being on meds. At that point its okay and ive tried everything, i would just resume shaving. this way of thinking is smart and makes sense, but truthfully it doesnt make sense not to use some grafts when i really need them. What the point of waiting or anticipating for the future if right now its absolutely necessary, considering ive done EVERYTHING in my power to fix and maintain what i got. With that said my main concenr about this is that this surgery will do more harm then good, for me i am not expecting perfection and if all goes bad ideally i would like to still be able to buzz my head like i do and just move on with it. My main concern is that native hairs on the top will be nuked, and the donor will become very decimated, otherwise i want to try it truthfully. I am not phased if the donor becomes more thin, as long as it looks homogenous. ive been thinking for so long ive wanted it i know my chances are grim i dont expect perfection, but i would honestly regret not trying this atleast once. With that said i would regret though if it went horribly and my donor got really really bad and i got really scarred and lost more hair on the top of my head. Truthfully as long as it doesnt get worse itll be a success for me. But if you and others think its really bad idea and its just gonna get worse i can totally appreciate that and am thankful for the truthful advice. I wont lie i know its risky. All the surgeons want to put beard grafts on the crown, which i think is sound idea, ive got plenty (even though it doesnt seem that way). Perhaps maybe if i do go ahead with it i request they do less the first round? anyways thanks for advice

im 29, my hairloss hasnt changed for a long time now. i dont care if in the future it all recedes or gets worse (with me being on meds). thats fine. but if there is a possiblity it can improve my situation abit and not decimate the donor and look abit fuller or filled out thats all i really want. As long as i have the option to going back to fully shaving everything and it looking still fine, if it doesnt go well. the surgeons want to use beard grafts which i have quite afew, for the crown. Which i think is a great idea because personally idc about my beard at all.

yeah totally fair, i got pics and videos of me playing with my hair abit longer well (same lenght as the dark photos) ultimately im fine where the hairline is, i just want my crown and top of head to just have more hair even if its not perfectly dense. If worse comes to worse i just go back to shaving my head but instead have my hair match the top and mid abit more. Really my main concern is if the donor will become very bad after HT. If the donor becomes bad and the top and mid end up growing okay then im okay with that. loarwong wants to use beard grafts on the crown to fill it up.

you reckon itll look worse after ht? like truthfully im just wanting to know if it will all look worse after a ht, keep in mind laorwong wants to do a beard HT to my crown second time around. i dont mind if it doesnt turn out perfect or that great. but if it improves it and gives me more hair on top even if its a illusion id be happier. i guess the main risk is to see how bad the back of the head gets from ht, thats what im worried about.

Nope thats just when i grow the hair more, and lightening. Some of the pics shadowing is abit more present, but in general when i grow my hair the sides and back thicken up, not perfectly their are still rows and some gaps, but there are plenty of spots were it gets dense. I hardly ever grow my hair out because i cant bare see myself look like that or go to work like that. i have more photos and videos if youd like to see and comment it would be very helpful. Laorwong said i have good donor which is weird because i dont think so and this also scares me maybe hes just plucking for my money?. He said no problem and wants to book me. Edit: ive been on meds for long time and its pretty much remained unchanged, hairloss is stablized for long time now. 1-2 year plus. Also with that said i wouldnt wanna change my hairline, id just leave it where it is do you think thats a smart move? thank you for your input
