I can already tell that this is going to be an A+ result. Stoked for ya.

You probably want to start letting it grow out at this point.
What’s the reasoning behind that?

Nice. It'd be cool if you grew it out for your 5 month update
Will do for the 5 or 6 month update.

Here is my 17 week/4 month update. Right side has come in pretty well and I’m already pretty happy with the appearance on the right but hope to get more hairs and for them to thicken up. Left side is a bit behind the right but I don’t think that is unusual and I’m thinking it will pick up soon. I am still getting red spots on both sides which I think is a good sign - hairs coming through! Overall, pretty happy with where I’m at for 4 months.
I welcome any thoughts/comments.
It's very common for one side to lag (I'm currently experiencing the same). It's looking great so far.

What’re y’all’s thoughts on combining a transplant with SMP? I’m closing in on month 4 and seeing a ton of growth but I’m wondering if coupling the transplant with a dash of SMP in the hairline 8 months from now would really drive it home?

So clean — this is going to be an epic comeback.

Results were probably great, which is why we haven't heard from him!
Or they were so great that they’ve moved on from this form and are enjoying life! I’d imagine they’d be back here seeking more validation of it didn’t turn out well.

Thanks for clarifying. I did pick up some oral fin and topical min straight after my surgery which I intend to take so fingers crossed that will slow down any further hair loss and maybe even stimulate some growth!
Yeah you’re going to be solid. Your current baseline is what most of us on here would dream of haha.

Fin is a hormone blocker that primarily helps patients retain what they currently have (though I have seen many cases where people have regrown a substantial amount). Min is a stimulant that will decrease time between hair cycles and, in many cases, thicken/regrow hair. The goal is to ensure that you are halting recession in place so that you do not continue to recede behind the implanted hairs in the hairline.
You are starting from a great situation and have the ideal hair characteristics for a transplant but that doesn’t make you immune to continued balding. If I were you, I would really dive into the research and speak to my physician to put a preventative plan in place so I wouldn’t have to use more of my finite donor on the future.

Looking great so far. I’m considering him for my 2nd and hopefully last procedure if I don’t get the density that I was hoping for from this first surgery. How was the process from reaching out to surgery with him?

Awesome. Sounds like you have very realistic expectations!

The density is excellent and the worm is super clean. It blends in with the previous work flawlessly.
