  1. Hi Josh, I had my HT with Dr. Path about 6 months ago.. Doing my research on him before hand I found nothing about him that made me concerned or gave me any trepidation in getting my HT done with him...The experience was first rate! However as I am only at six months my final results are undetermined...and beyond this I will have to hold off on any final result recommendation...I do have pictures on past posts if interested.
  2. just taking MSM and proscar, Do you think Rogain for a few months, would be beneficial?
  3. Hey, Here is a pre-op and a 5.5 month shot I will be 6 month in july. I had 2080 grafts by Dr. Pathomvanich in Bangkok.. I do see some "New" hair, I just thought I would be a bit further along at this point. I have more photos posted as well. Thanks
  4. Also, is there any benefit in using Rogain only in the evening and washing it out in the morning?
  5. I'm now at 5 1/2 months. I know it's still very early but I am seeing very little going on up there and am getting a bit impatient...I am taking 1/4 Proscar and 4000 MSM everyday...I was thinking of adding Rogain to kick start my progress. I really don't have any intention on using it longer then three months as I find it a hassle and messy...my concern is will the negatives out-way the positives as far as shedding goes...will I lose hair when I start using Rogain and when I start growing hair and stop again in a few months will I have shedding again and have to wait for my hair to grow back anyways...Make sense? any advice would be appreciated...thanks..

  7. Thanks for your responses. I kinda knew it would be less grafts however the extra cost didn't come to mind, that's a consideration. If I need to go in again Ill need to think about that..If you have seen my pics you can see why it's a concern. Thanks again!
  8. Hi, All Just thinking about any future procedure I may need and was wondering if its possible to get a shorter donor scar, having it stop in the back and not going as far as the sides. The reason I ask is that the hair on the back of my head is much more dense and can hide the scar much better then my sides can.

  10. Hey, Tom I had the same idea. But Dr.P advised against it. His main concern was infection and with all the animals at the market its not the cleanest...I did end up going a few weeks later..
  11. Hey Hairbank, After a year of research even emailing Hasson and Wong asking there option of Dr.P (they were nice enough to give me a favourable one)...I decided to go with Dr. P and Bangkok as the cost difference enabled me to take much more time off of work, two and a half months in total...I felt very confident that Dr. P would do a good job.. With that said at this point I thought I would be further along with my scars healing and hoped to see a bit more progress with my recipient area. I know it takes time. but I guess I'm a slow healer and responder? only time will tell...
  12. Added a few 5 month photos, well 4 1/2 months
  13. Just added a bit of info on experience with Dr. P
  14. I had my HT with Dr.P Jan of this year.. I have some pics upload on the patient photo section. I will try to update in the next few days and give a bit more info on my personal experience.
  15. I had my HT with Dr.P in Jan of this year.. and yes you do get a massage during your HT... I wouldnt say its a traditional Thai Massage, but regardless it was a nice way to help you relax.
  16. Thought I would add a scar Pic, this is about 12 weeks.
  17. Hairbank- my sides are cut to 44mm not sure what blade that is... hair is growing through the scar and it has gone from red to pink but is still thicker then I have noticed from others on this site...I'm hoping I'm just a slow healer... you cant see it from the back...I'm just very happy to have found this site and purchased Dermatch before hand. creepingback
  18. Just thought I would add a few updated pics. Everything seems to be going well. I pretty much have my pre HT hair back, its just much shorter...see lots of little hairs popping up... not sure if it's "new" hair or just shockloss recovering....My Donor scar is still very noticeable on the sides, but using Dermatch I can hide it well ... pretty excited for the coming months...
  19. I think it really depends on what your going in with and how you heal.. I have fine not overly dense blond hair and was too short when I had my HT..my skin tends to hold red in scars for sometime.. at a month it was still very noticeable. It has now been about two months and is looking pretty much as it did pre HT.. The day after my HT I meet a guy in my doctors office who was at three days post op and was undetectable.. Its hard to say. If you can get extra time off I would do it..
  20. My doctor had me wear a headband for 3 days after my HT , which prevented any swelling below my forehead... not overly attractive, but I didn't leave my hotel for the first few days anyways..Seemed to work well.
  21. Thanks once again..I cant tell you how helpful this site and everyone here has been, both for education and setting my mind at ease.. I'm hoping for the best..and hope I will be satisfied with the density for at least a couple years.. Healing and waiting is the worst!
  22. Hi, I have already asked this question under my post in photos, but haven't received a response yet so I will try here... I emailed my Dr. to find out how many graft I got per sq centimetre and his replied was "The grafts transplanted on the frontal area of your scalp was approximately 40 grafts per square centimetre with one graft containing 1-3 hairs each." Will this give me good density?

  24. Thanks for all your feed back..I emailed Dr. Pathomvanich today to find out how many graft I got per sq centimetre and his replied was "The grafts transplanted on the frontal area of your scalp was approximately 40 grafts per square centimetre with one graft containing 1-3 hairs each." Will this give me good density?
