  1. once grafts are inside the skin, why would not they survive? Assuming they never got dislodged
  2. Hey, I am not too sure. But I feel blanching would be a good thing. I think discolouration would be temporary if it blanche
  3. Any improvement is a good sign as long as it is happening! It keeps you optimistic and I am sure you will have great results soon. I wanted to ask you about redness. Is it still there or going away?
  4. Does the redness fade away when you press on the skin? Like does it have a Blanche effect and skin return to its normal colour? Or the redness stays even after pressing?
  5. How's your skin underneath? Is it darker than normal skin? I just had beard transplant as well 14 days post-op
  6. The area is soft to touch. It appeared soon after the scab removal. I was reading up on ridging as well. Would it be normal for ridging to appear in post 10 days after surgery?
  7. I just had beard transplant and this is 10 days post op. I took off all the scabs in the last 2 days. The skin area is pink and looked raised (please see the pic below) Especially from the top perimeter. I am really worried about this. Is this normal? I hope this is not cobblestoning?
  8. Thank you so much for your detailed answer. My main objective is to have enough hair growth onto scar tissue to have it camouflaged so it isn’t noticeable. I had a question that how would dermaroller help me? I never used it. My scar is 20 years old and hopefully hair transplant will be enough to hide it after good growth. I have already consulted a doctor and i am going for hair transplant since there has been many good cases with similar issues. I did a lot of research as well online regarding PRP and the research is very limited and there is no standardized procedure for it. Lots of variables to factor into like what kind of centrifuge being used, concentration of platelets achieved etc. I agree it may have lots of benefits in person just experiencing starting phase of hair thinning. I am not sure if it will help with hair transplant procedures.
  9. Does PRP treatment make a difference in end result of hair transplant? Especially if the transplant hair is being placed in the scar area in the beard? I am looking to get a beard transplant into a scarred area of the beard. The plan is to use donor area from behind the scalp and then add those grafts in beard. Please advice if PRP would make a positive difference in getting a higher success rate? Will it make sure the graft holds better in scar area?
  10. Thanks for everyone’s help. After reviewing this forum using search bar, and reading many posts, I decided to contact Dr. Barghouthi regarding my beard transplant in scar area. He was helpful in answering all my queries. I will be having my procedure with him next week in Jordon.
  11. Dr. Rahal’s office mentioned, they don’t do any beard transplant? Can you please confirm?
  12. Yea. I am considering DR. Gabel, Dr. Nadimi/Konior and hasson & wong for now. I have sent consultation requests to them. Waiting to be contacted... Not sure who is most competent in beard transplants??
  13. Has dr. Konior stopped doing hair transplants? When you go their website and ask to be contacted back, why is only DR. Nadimi contacting back? Can you change to Dr. Konior? Are they trained in facial hair transplantation for beards and mustache?
  14. DR. Rahal does not do beard transplants.. any other suggestions??
  15. Hi all, I am currently living in Toronto, Canada. I do not have a hair loss problem on my scalp since I have been taking propecia from a long time. I am looking to fill in my beard more since I have a scar on the right side of the face. I have always kept light beard and trimmed mustache but recently due to covid and mask wearing, I was able to grow my mustache and beard. I kept on growing my mustache and found out that it has helped covering the lower end of scar which bothered me the most. I feel if I have more density in that area near the scar, it would help even more and would always keep the area covered without me even styling the mustache by hand all the time. The area is small but currently I do not have enough density in that area. Adding more hair follicles in the area and then growing the hairs long, hopefully hide my scar at all time. Please guide me who would be a good doctor for this job? Locally, I found dr. Jones, dr. Asrai and dr. torgerson but not sure about them. Very anxious not to get the wrong person doing this. Please advise.
