You just contradicted your own argument by saying you’ve heard “anecdotal” evidence. Going by what you hear from a few guys means your can’t generalise that opinion to say everyone feels that way which is what you were implying in your original comment

Intresting he said to switch to dut since your responding to fin, if I was personally responding to fin I don’t see why there’s a need to hop on to dut so quickly since it’s usually used for people who don’t respond to fin or plateau

Testerone, free testerone, dht, estrogeon , LH and FSH. Fin alters all of these hormones so you want.A baseline of where your at before starting fin. If you have low free t to start with, chances are crushing your dht is going to mean your more likely to get sides.

the thing is finasteride will not stop hair loss simply delay it and slow down the inevitable. People disregard the fact that testosterone also plays a role in hair loss albeit to a much lesser degree than DHT due to dht's much higher binding infinity. I been taking fin for months and had no sides but just not comfortable with changing my hormonal balance which is why I'm going to try topical at 0.025 % which has shown to reduce scalp dht by 50 percent and dht serum by 25 percent

Topical finasteride goes systematic and depending on concentration from studies can be anything from 70-30 percent dht serum reduction , and some people get sides with even a little disruption from the dht reduction due to their free t not making up for the reduction. I saw that there is a new one coming out that been mentioned here from dr hasson which he claims to hardly reduce dht serum but a few people who have tried this on the forum experienced side effects. I really don’t understand why people don’t get blood work prior to fin to see their hormonal profile which would shed light on why you get sides
