have you spoken with the doctor who carried out your surgery to discuss why you haven’t achieved good growth? Could you add some images of you are comfortable enough to do so?

I have been lurking on this forum since May 2022 trying to desperately find a solution to solve my hair dilemma. It has helped me so much with the research of potential doctors & gaining knowledge on the transplant process.
i just finished my 1363 Follicular Units (Repair Case) with the wonderful DR Pinto on Wednesday the 12th & just wanted to thank the forum & the very helpful people on it for assisting me in getting it done! Wouldn’t have been possible without finding the HRN!
I will probably update a thread on my progress in the coming days/weeks.
thanks again everybody 💙 truly a brilliant forum

Dr Reddy gave me two options.
1 day - 1500 grafts £7000
2 days - up to 3000 grafts £12500
could go to a world class doctor in europe for a half the price, are you not willing to leave the UK for the procedure?

Im happy so far with progress. Its just so much easier now to get ready in the morning without having to pull it here there and everywhere to cover the recession in the corners. Still only halfway in so it may fill in a bit more and thicken up fingers crossed but i think/hope im doing ok for the 5 month mark 👍
I feel your pain, I know exactly what you mean! looks great for 5 months in, will continue to see new growth and thicken up as the months pass. 👏🏻👏🏻

HLC offers the option of no-shave surgery (where recipient area is not shaved) for an additional cost and I am interested in doing this.
They assured me it does not alter the quality of the outcome, and that it simply takes more time and care. But I am still worried that it might inevitably mean a loss in quality resulting from reduced visibility and/or fatique from longer sessions.
Am I right to have any doubts and is it safer to go with full shave or would I be ok with noshave?
why don’t you just shave the recipient area if you don’t want to carry out a full shave of the head?

Interesting. I was thinking of giving baby shampoo a go too. This guy isn't a fan though:
yeah, weird that. I’ve been fine using it, a lot of the comments on the video say the same thing luckily lol… was about to consider removing the baby shampoo 🤣

Which are the best surgeons in the UK for 2023 ? There looks to be ALOT of clinics on google now
I wouldn’t go to any to be honest, much better doctors around europe for the same price if not cheaper
-
DR Mittal is definitely one of the better ones from the UK 👏🏻although we barely have a handful of decent DRs over here

what level of loss are you dealing with? are you on medication to prevent future loss? As the other guys have rightly stated, don’t narrow your search down to Turkey only, there are some world class doctors elsewhere at good prices

Thank you very much for your response.
Unfortunately it is impossible to get to Zarev. And it's a 2-3-year waiting list.
Felipe Pittella - Brazil is very far from me, although I would wonder if he Zarev's league doctor.
And what are the best doctors at Eugenix?
I'll ask them of course, but maybe you know what the approximate expectation is for the best Eugenix doctors?DR Sethi at Eugenix is the real deal. If you want the best result don’t let distance or waiting time prevent you choosing the best DR, especially with your budget lol 💰💰

Hi Folks
Today is exactly 5 months since my hair transplant with Dr Bruno Pinto in Porto.
Since my month 4 update I don’t feel like there’s been massive change but there has been a more subtle one. On the whole the hairs are growing well and thickening. I haven’t had a growth explosion like some do although I do feel it’s improved some.
My left side is a lot fuller and thicker than my right side. There is one small gap on the left which has some hairs popping through so hopefully that should fill in and I am very happy with that side. The right side was my bigger side for recession and had more grafts. This is lagging behind a little. I do have coverage there and there are lots of smaller hairs just popped through but I do feel this needs to start thickening up some and hopefully soon. The hairs are very thin and see through. Especially when wet but guess that’s to be expected.
I’m at the point where I can take identical photos in the same place in the same lighting and just change my head angle a little and it completely changes the outcome. It looks great in some photos and see through in others.
I have been reliably informed that I am on track at 5 months and the right side is a standard 5 months and not to compare to the left side or those people that basically have full results at this point.
As always let me know your thoughts and I will update again at 6 months. I hope between now and then I have a more growth and thickening of hairs to report
Here are my photos. Some with flash and zoom and others next to a window and no flash. I have also done some wet hair combed back to show the hairline. Apologies for how many there areFirstly, thank you for keeping us updated & providing numerous images 👏🏻👏🏻
the weaker side should catch up in the coming month or two, try not to stress (easier said than done) you chose a brilliant respected DR & I’m sure things will pan out just the way you wanted 👊🏼

i think as long as they dont tag both the surgeons and the technicians (by name) both incision any extractions should be done by the surgeon. incision is a no brainer but even with extraction you can really damage the grafts; so if its done by technicians it should be known to the people who of the technician has done the extraction if you present a case. the technician will be as important as the surgeon then.
i noticed both @DrMunibAhmad and dr zarev are basically do everything and they have the best results (including survival rate of the grafts). however obviously this comes with a price tag many cant pay.
I think Pinto does every step also

I’ve already chosen Dr Feriduni this time around. A doctor who has shown good ethical practice time and time again with good consistent repairs.
Scheduled for April 2024. Approx 3 surgeries. Extraction of the hairline approx.
€7.5k for this so called repair by Eugenix with. To put that into perspective, Dr Feriduni has quoted me approx the same.
Ferundi is a master, I believe he can rectify this for you 👏🏻
