Looks like someone already posted this thread on Reddit. Rather than start some sort of forum war, I don't understand why we can't share and work together. After all, our main goal is to share experiences and real information about hair transplants. While some might be misguided on there, many are searching for real information, which this forum has to offer.
Perhaps an invite of their mod to next hrn podcast would be a solution , to have an open discussion and work out disagreements or misunderstanding they have toward our forum.

Those are great advance level topics ! Will be very educatiinal for us all to learn more about.

Looks dense to me, there is no way Couto would let anyone walkout that door with sparse hairline.

I have exactly the same thing.. by day 14 I almost feel back to square one, I wonder if the hairs coming out with the scabs is a bad sign, I'm very worried. I started massaging them out probably day 7-8 (gently)
I don't think it's cause of worry, if follicle was dislodged you would have seen blood . I am also 2 weeks post op & notice some shedding starting. We just gotta trust the process & not get stressed , if anything, stress is more hazardaus to hair growth than few scabs with hair😀

Perhaps some transplanted hair was taken from non safe portion of donor.

I don't think you need temple work, you look young, those precious grafts might be of better use for future in crown or midscalp, if you let your hair grow longer , it can easly cover temple region.

Depends on surgen, i seen some famous doc put over 5k grafts in that small region. Realisticly 1500-2k is what i would expect

Very frustrating as last night I slept normally without a neck pillow (beard grafts were put into the back of my head)... So maybe it's too late anyway
I think normal sleeping positiin after 6 days is totaly fine, my surgen's instructions were like 3 days to sleep with neck pillow, other doctors say 6 days, i waited 7 days to sleep normaly without that neck pillow.

I'm 7 days post, today I wore a cap to go out. It presses slightly on the grafts that have been put into the back of my head, but is this actually a problem? The grafts are surely secure by now?
I am also a week after HT but wear surgucal hats as they are paper soft not much pressure, mostly to protect from sun & dust.

I feel that most people's top 10 list is biased towards doctors who tend to go for more density and youthful looking hairlines. And that makes sense, more density looks good, has better aesthetics, and tends to get more buzz.
In my searching, I've been focusing on different criteria. For me, being biased towards more conservative approaches is a plus for me, it shows that they are thinking about the long term rather than flashy results (not that anyone else is particularly thinking about flashy results). I am also looking at how they handle repairs, as this is a harder case in transplants.
Two who have stuck out as of recently for me is Timothy Carmen and Cooley. Maybe they don't have the 'oh wow!' factors in their results as much as others, but they do great, really natural looking results with fewer grafts.
Good point certainly understandable. The thing is , not all NW6-7 want a hairline that starts at midscalp. The surgens that excell in beard grafts overcame this issue, beard has 2-3k grafts, with proper placement they add greater density, & allow for more creative freedom, inmo, conservatism in HT has evolved .

The before did not look that bad. Honestly, i would have just used minox & dermaroller, finasteride (if you can tolerate it). HT is usually best when area has not much native hair. What probably happened is your native hair kept receiding. HTs have risk, poor survival rate , etc, it should always be last resort.

Eugenix and Hasson & Wong are hairmills.
I kindly disagree, Eugenix made beard grafts go mainstream, most NW6-7 that comes out of their door has full coverage with good density.

If your clinic offers 1st wash i would stay at least till then. It is always best to have clinic do 1st wash so you don't get scabs later.

It will look great! Sorry to hear you had to go thru all the emotional stress from prior surgery. Mwamba is an excellent surgen, great choice!

That's a great news it not going systemic. How about applying it on side and back areas? I believe some research was done that all scalp hair eventualy is impacted by dht at some point , oral fin takes care of that but question is will topical cause overdose? If not, will there be enough gel in a bottle for entire head for a month? Thanks

Yea I do but I was wondering how long should I expect this tenderness to stay with me. I understand it's different for everyone as people heal different just wondering a rough timeline to.expect
I would say if it's not improving, take a pic of it & show the doctor to make sure there is no infection or any other problem

Some doctors recommend Aloe Vera gel on donor area, feel free to ask your doctor if it is ok to apply.

Day 21, have not yet noticed much shedding. Not sure if much changed from prior post. Will update in a month on what's happening.
