  1. Sorry to hear such, the best course of action right now is to not worry, depression is a major cause of health issues, when body is under stress, it tends to shut off non essential things 1st (hair, nails, skin health). At this point you just have to trust and believe in process, what is done is done.  You may be surprised, result will be good & not as bad as you imagined.

I've been on oral minoxidil for a few weeks now, nothing but good things to report.

Awesome! Glad it is working well for you Melvin. I would certainly also give it a try, but due to me having Rosacea, i am afraid to start it 😔. For now i just use DIY biotin, saw palmetto topical spray.

  3. I would quit nicotine for good, you invested a lot of  $ into ht, as well as time & effort. Nicotine constricts blood vessels thru smoking, vaping, patch etc . There was a research where it showed that those who are predisposed to hair loss, have accelerated loss from smoking. It will always mess with your mind if you continue to smoke with any adverse effect feom ht, like less of graft survival, thinning etc.

    Just clickbait article

i tried topical many years ago and my chest felt tight, considering heart is the number one killer I am not risking it for some hair

you don’t know what damage you’ve done to your heart in youth until you get to old age

True, for me topical minox caused a development of Rosacea, i was using it for 10 yrs, but had to discontinue as soon as i noticed it & did not take long to find out the cause. Minox dialates blood vessels.

Are you saying oral minox does not regrow hair whereas topical does regrow hair? Or are you saying both simply keep hair in non-sleep phase longer?  I can say with topical I seem to be regrowing especially on the hairline. This stands in line with people who are able to grow beards out of basically nowhere as well.

As far as it not addressing the root cause, I mean maybe that's true but a huge number of people continue losing on Fin/Dut as well. So mileage will vary person to person, but neither of them really "halts" hair loss.

Agree! Fin/dut are also not guranteed to work for everyone. I was on fin a decade ago, worked really well for 2 yrs but eventualy stopped working.

  6. From what i understand, oral minox does not regrow hair , rather, keeps existing hair longer in non sleep phase, possibly also making it look denser. Inmo, i would not risk taking it, as it does not adress the root cause, eventualy nature will take its course sooner or later, & that hair will go to sleep-) In regards to volume, there are  otc gels that can make hair look denser without sides -))

  7. From the photo it looks like there is still good amount of hair. Sorry to hear that meds don't work for you. Have you tried vitamims such as D3, zinc, biotin? Todays youth have more difficult life due to social media, dating apps etc.  this causes a huge amount of stress. I would strongly recomend all natural approach, & to try to stay away from instagram, tiktok, tinder etc.  Those apps are 50% cause of hair loss at the minimum -).
