if anyone would like to know how my procedure with Bloxham turned out, this is spot on. strong hairline. weak behind the hairline in the frontal third

Sorry to hear that , it seems some peoole are best suited for different implant technique such as implanter pens. I read somewhere that some people have scalp that closes pores too easy & hence pre made slits don't yield best results. Implanter pens are superior in that sense & also have no direct contact with derma propela, for better graft survival. This is my opinion after long research, certainly feel free to also research this.

My guess on why he's so popular is he has a really good marketing team, and also he operates out of California. So there are many looks-obsessed guys out there, the market has a ton of money, and - just like anywhere in the world - most people are painfully naive about good vs bad HT doctors

I see.  Seems pepole have comcern if this person is actualy a patient of his. Which is why i brought up a point that he is a popular doc with long wait & thus i would be realy surprised if this review is not by actual patient.

I don't get why someone would go through the extra effort of asking someone else to take a photo of them while they hold a piece of paper to cover their face if they could easily obscure their face by angling a selfie photo, unless this person doesn't know how to crop photos or doesn't know how to take a selfie. Googling the user's username, I see they posted a review on Realself on the same date that this topic was created. Then I saw other several other Realself reviews that were also topics posted on these forums, most of them all on the same date and some of them with exact verbatim.

At the very least, whether these are actual patient accounts or not, I think we can all agree that these reviews are clearly done for the purpose of promoting the clinic. It's subjective how you view those actions, but I find it manipulative.

Isn't he booked like 7 month out? Which implies he has many clients, I think someome mentioned before that wait for ht with him is not quick, i am surprised he would do that ?

Going slow lol. I'll post this weekend. I think I may be one of those 18 month guys before I know whether I'll want a third pass on the front in a couple years. That patch area in my recent pics still looking bare-ish (fine hairs there but not like the other growth). When I take pics and move the hair around, it can look like nothing is there versus a natural flow after washing my hair, which is when I can see the very fine hairs.

Are you still planning to do the crown area later in the year ?

I did. The clinic told me the manager will do the consult and the doctor will join in the middle, but it was really at the end and the feeling they gave me is all the questions should be point to the manager who is the authority, and the doctor will just.. I don't know, something else.

About your idea, sorry, but what is the point of meeting another doctor? Don't you think different doctors different evaulations?

Not realy, the most important was to check if there is no dupa, retro, etc. Any reputable doc shlould be able to notice that from lense.  The doc from out of state did see my online photos, & quoted # of grafts.  i just wanted to be 100% certain that my donor is good to go before traveling far .

  7. Before booking a flight, did you confirm who will do consult?  It's always good idea to have an in depth evaluation in local reputable clinic, they usualy chrage fee,  $75-200 is worth it to know if you are a good ht candidate . (ask them over phone: will they do proper exam? ) . I did that in my city, and only after that ,  traveled out of state for ht surgen of my choice.

Biotin and Saw Palmetto works?  I was under the impression that primary meds are Fin, Dut, and Minox; with everything else being a gimmick.

If you start to believe it works, it will-) Power of suggestion is a very well documented phenomenom, which is why every pill on the market undergoes placebo & within that placebo such is noted😀

  9. Quick 3.5 month pic, it's growing by the day, very happy how it is progressing. Left side is to the window & is under sun hitting the view, the right side is not under sun. No filters, no Toppik , we sugar free here 😀Full 4 month update comming on the 28th.  We done with bathroom pics guys -) ,nature is where it's at. Will have pics  under various light conditions.

  10. It's not psychilogical, it is a hormone altering pill, everyone's system responds differently. When i 1st took it in 2008 or 09, there was not much fear mungerring regarding it, there was no reddit or any other mainstream social media like quora & i still experinced sides, & had to quit it.  I believe after 2013 they officialy made them aknowldege the various sides that previously were not on label.

  11. Just make sure its authentic, there are many counterfit Toppik products. I would only buy from their official site. Years ago when i didn't know any better , bough it from Ebay for $10, only to learn later it was fake. Had embarrasing situation on a date, the thing did not bind well to hair & made my scalp green.

It’s all about expectations. Here’s the reality, when you’re happy you post pictures like this

    613281A8-09E2-4CCF-8DBD-DDBD13281466.jpeg

Looks impressive, most would say wow what a difference, and it is, but by no means is it perfect.

    Unhappy people will do this

    D04FD7AA-7888-41D2-966D-F9B23CC8BD35.jpeg

Much less impressive, but both pictures are the same result. The reality is that no one walks around like the second picture. I certainly don’t walk around with my hair parted and wet under a light. The first picture is more indicative of how I appear day to day. That said, I can understand how someone may feel short changed with the realities of surgery, if they don’t have their expectations in check. It’s not perfect and never will be.

Keep in mind I’ve had 9k grafts overall, and my hair still isn’t perfect. It’s not realistic to expect perfect density in all situations. If you do the math a Norwood 5/6 has lost around 20k-25k follicular units, there’s just no way you’re gonna get perfect density with 5k grafts. It’s like trying to make a dollar out of 15 cents, or pence. To have an optimal illusion you’d need at least 10-15k grafts depending on hair thickness.

Well said! For my next updates i will also include outside view of progress & under various lighting conditions. I even noticed my before pic in the same day under different angle in same room had a bit diffetent feel, more dayight thru window = much worse appearence.
