I knew Gabriel was receding but not to that degree, must've been putting boot polish on his head for games as he was often rocking a perfectly straight, albeit high, hairline. Also it's crazy that he's gone to Cinik of all places, he could've gone to one of the elites for the cost of two day's salary.

I think he must have been paid for them to be allowed to use it for marketing.

His agent would have organised it you’d imagine, Guilherme Miranda who looks after mainly Brazilian footballers.

You should reach out to some of the football agents @Melvin- Moderator I bet they just use Google to find surgeons.

  2. I’m in the UK.

I think you’re making a sensible step, it’s worth a go for sure.

There’s a user on here called @JDEE0 imo he’s the most knowledgable and unbiased when it comes to finasteride, it’s worth going through his posts on the subject, no hysteria just backed up research.

You could try going to your GP and get a prescription but it’d be easier to get it from a website like Dr Fox (google it)

I get the generic type in a 6 month supply, you could try a month supply to start of with, it’s relatively cheap. They’re 1mg a tablet, so just take one a day, no cutting etc.

I’m not a medical professional but id suggest starting by taking it Monday Wednesday Friday, if after a couple of weeks there’s no bad sides, go up to 1 a day. Take consistent photos (same lighting/camera etc) every month and track your progress on it.

I’m rooting for you man, we all empathise how rubbish you can feel when losing hair.

  3. Looks great for 6 weeks mate, with the native hair you have at that length you could probably pull off a cover up and no one would know.

The dryness might be from using nizoral too much, I’d suggest using it no more than twice a week, maybe even just once a week. The same thing happened to me and I experimented with different shampoos, I switched the alpecin hybrid which moisturises and then nizoral once a week and the dryness all cleared up.

You still might shed some more, even post 6 weeks. I’d say about 80% of mine shed bang on 3 weeks and then started growing at around 2/3 months.

Design looks great and this time next year you’re going to look and feel amazing.

  4. I'd consult your surgeon and see what they suggest, from my research there's different advice ranging from fine to buzz after 2 weeks to only cutting with scissors until many months.

If density is your concern, then there's going to be more of an illusion of density when there's some length to the hair. Buzzing it too short will actually make the hair appear less dense.

  5. I think perspective helps, I’m currently on day 17 post transplant and am fully aware the next year is going to be hard but what’s helped me is to think of it like this… pre transplant my hair was stabilised due to finsateride but it was never going to get any better, only worse but now I’ve had it done things can only get better from this point onwards, I know within the next 12 months I’ll wake up one day and I’ll have that hairline back. Hope’s the best antidote to depression and by taking action and getting it done you’re giving yourself that hope.

it’s also important to say that there could be underlying things that are causing depression and hair loss may be a small part of a bigger thing, for that there are many things as well as medication that can help, I think it’s about reflection and making positive changes, a well researched transplant with the right doctor is a good example of this.

  6. Amazing result, buzzing for you mate, the hairline is so natural.

It was  your post that made me book with Farjo in the end, so thanks for posting. The big day next Thursday and a similar amount of grafts.

Completely empathise with the wind thing, for me it’s always the first corner I turn out of any building 😂

Enjoy the rest of the growing!
