  1. What grade are you shaving the sides of your head?
  2. 1 month post op now. Donor areas look pretty good. Fair bit of shedding in the recipient areas at front and crown.
  3. 2.5 weeks after procedure. Scabs all gone now thanks to Melvin’s advise.
  4. Thanks Melvin. I’ll give that a try tomorrow. I think I’ve just been being far too gentle. Recipient area at the front is still quite numb too, but I’m hoping this will start getting some feeling back as time goes on.
  5. 2 Weeks post op. Head getting very crusty and some shedding. Not slept on a pillow yet (not sure why). How long does it usually take until the crustiness disappears? Washing every day with Sebamed Shampoo.
  6. I can’t say mate as I’ve not seen it on another thread. However, I would think that it’s also to do with less face to face initial consultations too.
  7. I’m 9 days post op with Dr Arshad. Quoted 2500 grafts front and crown, but that was based on video and pictures consultation. When I attended for my op, he said that another 500 would be needed to ensure density. My hair has always been pretty fine anyway, so I went with his expert opinion. Very happy with my results so far. Good luck with it.
  8. Day 9 post op. 3 hair washes so far. Front seems to have lost some density but presuming this is just normal shedding after washing has started. Redness is almost gone now
  9. Day 7 post op. First hair wash today. Growing out nicely and scabs coming off a bit. Special shampoo has given me a bit of flakey skin but it’s not a problem. Time to moisturise 😃. Definitely feel more human and can’t pass a mirror without checking my hair out.
  10. Post Op Day 4. Changed my Facebook profile picture. Things are getting serious 😂.
  11. Day 2 post op. No pain now. Still using steroids for swelling, saline spray to keep grafts moist, antibiotics and anti-bacterial ointment on donor areas. Pleased with the results so far. Nipped out for a bit of shopping and got some strange looks 😃.
  12. Bandages now off. Not too sore but head still swollen. Day 1 completed.
  13. I will keep updating with regular pictures, etc. I was a bit eager and got there for 6.15 due to miss-calculations on how far away it was from the hotel I stayed at. My appointment was 7 and I was out by about 6.45pm. It’s a long day but it doesn’t seem like that once you’re in there. Good luck with yours.
  14. I went for my HT today at The Hair Dr Clinic. Firstly, I was met by Adam, the receptionist. He was very friendly and put me at ease straight away. He took me up to meet Dr Arshad and Dr Hamza, who talked me through the procedure, worked out exactly what would be needed and explained how this would be achieved. I had originally been quoted for 2500 grafts based on a video interview, but Dr Arshad recommended adding a further 500 to ensure full cover of the crown and hairline, temples, etc. My head was then shaved fully and the procedure began. The only painful part of the procedure was when the anaesthetic was being administered. I’d read another review which said the same, so this didn’t come as a surprise. The extraction process was very good and I even dosed off during it once or twice. Dr Arshad and his team of technicians were very friendly and professional, and totally put me at ease, even going so far as to put a rock music channel on the radio for me. Lunch was then provided, Dr Arshad created the graft channels and the graft insertion began. This was carried out be the technicians, under the supervision of Dr Hamza and Dr Arshad. This took around 5 hours, but was done very well as far as I can tell. May overall experience of The Hair Dr clinic was a very positive one, and I’m looking forward to seeing the results over the coming months.
  15. This looks amazing Zach. I’m seriously considering using Dr A. I’m just really nervous about starting it off 😃. Do you have to take any medication with it?
