  1. Hi JC71 she suggested 3000 - 3500.
I am in my early 50's so she may have felt it was safe to be more aggressive due to my age, she did say one session should be enough.
Which I would probably agree with, but if I needed over 3000 grafts, I would prefer to do that number over tow sessions months apart.
I was really impressed by her patient coordinator, really helpful and quick to answer.

  2. Hi all.

After researching my options, I have a list of possible surgeons for my first transplant.
I say first, I may only need one. As average required grafts is about 2500 from those listed who assessed my pics, but am aware I may need a smaller one to add density?
To be honest it is quite daunting, its easy to see why people make bad choice of clinic.

I would appreciate your thoughts, on my list.
It is NOT in order of preference.

    Dr Pekineer

    HLC

    Dr Saifi

Dr. Ferreira I think his prices have been increased??

Dr Bruno Pinto. Although just been told due to volume of requests they are not giving treatment quotes online until further notice.
But have asked if I can have an in person assessment.

    Eugenix: Exclusive package

    Dr. Kongkiat Laorwong

    Thank you in advance.

  3. Thank you JohnAC71 I really appreciate your feed back!

I got the impression there was more to the negative post that I read regarding Dr Bhatti, so that is another on the no list.

I have contacted HDC there is a lot to like from what I have seen and read.
So they are a strong contender.

Now I have signed up, I will search and look to connect directly with a patient from there.

  4. Thank TommyLucchese for your reply.

I aim to have my transplant early next year, hopefully that will be enough time to explore my options, and be confident in my choice.
But that time frame can be moved back if I need.

I have contacted Dr Bisanga's Athens clinic.

I thought Hattingen clinic was out of my price range, but thank you I will take a look.

  5. Thank you for your reply.
Since discovering this website, I am spending more and more time on here.
I think being able to connect with others in a similar situation will prove to be invaluable.
You may be pleased to hear, I have ruled out using an all inclusive deals.

  6. Hello to everyone.
I have only just discovered this forum, and thought I would try and use it to help my research.

    A little about me.
I am in my early 50's ,some receding of hairline in the last 3 or so years.
I started to look for possible treatments, not thinking about a transplant at that time.
All I knew about them, was they left you with a large scar.
I then saw a YouTube review of a before and after, and I was genuinely amazed. This changed my thinking.
I followed it up and found the cost involved were 2000\2500 euro, fortunately I was able to afford this.

I have had numerous quotes, it seems at the most I would need 3000 grafts to repair my hairline.
I have had just one, so far, live video consultation, which suggested 3000 grafts is more than enough.
Luckily I appear to have a healthy donor area.

The more I research the more I need to understand better, and the more I expect from the clinic I choose.
So, I am increasing my budget, yet again, and hope that paying between 2 and 2.70 euro per graft will enable to book with a reputable clinic, with proven results.

One thing that I would like some advice on, or the first thing!

Time out of body for the graft.
I have seen various recommended times quoted, depending on various factors.
It makes sense to me, that the time out of body needs to be as short as possible.
I want to choose a clinic, that does a relatively lower number of transplanted grafts in a day.

In this price range, are there any reputable Dr's who I should research who try and minimise this time to a minimum.
I am not saying that all Dr's are not aware of the time factor, are there any who actively look to  decrease this time.

I read one of the clinics I was researching, score the grafts but leaves them in the scalp, then prepare the recipient area, then remove and transplant the grafts.
Are there any Dr's who do half the removals then implant, then repeat for the remainder of grafts?

    Thank you in advance.
