  1. Only been taking for around 3 weeks now so way to early to say but obviously the shedding is alot right now. The topical was messing up my already inflamed scalp
  2. I had to visit a dermatologist that dealt with hairloss specifically and believed in oral minoxidil as a treatment
  3. I had to see a dermatologist that believes in oral minoxidil as a treatment. Couldn’t find many place that would prescribe me it. Nor could I find any sites that sold it
  4. How come you only take 2.5mg weekly? Did you start on that dose? Or did you have to reduce your daily dose?
  5. Yeh I’m hoping it will work, usually when the inflammation get worse or flares up it comes with oily skin, All over my scalp/face. Let’s see how it goes. Was looking for something more natural for the inflammation and came across magnesium oil so I might give that a go also.
  6. How did you fight the inflammation? Did it just got away in its own?
  7. I was using topical since around 17 years old and stopped around 21 and the started back up for a year before stopping again. I’m 23 years old now. Sides wise so far I haven’t had anything. I’m pretty hairy already so more body hair isn’t that bad for me. But all the other sides I haven’t really had yet. I’ll definitely keep you guys updated!
  8. I haven’t actually, it could be worth a try. I just got a little bugged out since using the finasteride. You have any experience with topical anti androgens?
  9. Hi, hope you lot are well! After about a year or searching I found a dermatologist that would prescribe me oral minoxidil. He advised me to start with 1.25mg for the first month and then 2.5mg there on. Im looking to start a new regime, I’ve previously used finasteride and got every side effect you could think of Aswell as a lump in my breast so that’s not a option for me anymore. Also, I’ll be using nizoral 3x a week to try fight any inflammation. I feel like I’m not doing enough to keep the hair I have I Was wondering what Else i could use? when I visited the dermatologist he had a look at my scalp and said there was “diffuse redness with no perifollicular exacerbation and there is no significant scale.” He prescribed me a 0.1% tacrolimus topical to help with the possible inflammation. Once I did a bit of research it said a side effect of the drug was hairloss and thinning. Was wondering if any of you guys have knowledge about this? Any reccomdations would be great. Thank you guys!
  10. Hi dr, I haven’t had it check but it’s a good idea to. I saw their adverts on tv and assumed they was legit but that’s not always the case
  11. I’ve been using nizoral every couple of days. I might use something like baby shampoo on the other days. I thought it would be legit, seen all the adverts in tv so I would have guess it was all above board but it’s definitely a good idea to get it analysed and see what exactly is in it. Thanks for the help man.
  12. It’s called getfreshmans.com I thought the 0.05 twice a day was that standard?
  13. Thought as much! Thanks very much
  14. I had a hair transplant around 7 months ago, it’s looking decent. The crown is a bit thin still even though I had hair implanted. But that is done now. I want to start using my new topical but I believe I have some scalp inflammation, the skin isn’t red but feels a bit itchy, sore sometimes and wondering if I was okay to use it? Would this aggregate my hairloss even more? I’m a diffuse thinner. Hoping I can thicken up the hair after that transplant and keep as much of my native hair at possible. Bit lost in what to do so any help would be great. Thanks guys.
  15. I will try get in with a dermatologist ASAP. Thanks
  16. Yeah that’s the guy, I spoke to him once and it was like 5k for the course. But defo I will see a dermatologist and go from there. Diet is huge Aswell will focus more on that Aswell thanks man
  17. Yeah man I’m going to hold off until I sort it. I’m sure it’s inflammation. I itch a bit but Not to much. more like weird feeling when moving my hair about. It’s not a bad pain or anything but just feels sensitive still. Defo Going to book in with a dermatologist
  18. I had a transplant 6 months ago and I am happy with with results but I feel like I have scalp inflammation. When brushing my hair, mainly when combing again the direction of growth it’s feels a bit sensitive and tender. Very hard to describe the type of feeling and I’m wondering what the best ways are to combat this? I wanted to start using a min+fin topical (which I now have) but There’s a guy on YouTube that claims it could make the hairloss worse if you don’t Fix the inflammation first. He has a programme that can help with dealing scalp inflammation and helping hairloss but it’s not something I can afford so I was wondering if you guys had any other ways of combatting the scalp inflammation? Thanks very much!
  19. I had a belgravia centre minoxidil mix with them things also, but idk how much they help man. I thought it was more of a money making scheme but I could be wrong! Oh I didn’t realise the minoxidilmax one was 15% might be worth just getting that. How long did it take for yours to arrive? I’ll definitely ease my self into it and work up to the full dose. And yeah got the Nizoral Aswell will start using it again. And I got mine hair done at the hair of Istanbul 5 months ago. thanks for the helps also man!
  20. @TommyLuccheseyeh it’s a fairly new company. Great business idea for the uk. will give it a go. I could get it from minoxidilmax also, I just want to get it ASAP haha. Glad your seeing great results also!
  21. Hi guys, I had a transplant 5 months ago and I am amazed by the result so far. I still had a lot of hair before the transplant but was thinning all over, so I looking to stop the progression of the thinning/hairloss. I’ve tried finasteride and all 3 times I’ve got sides so orally it’s just not for me and was on topical minoxidil for around 5 years and I feel like it stopped working for me. I’ve been advised to use oral minoxidil which have great results but after contacting drs near me for a consultation/prescription none have responded to me. I’m thinking to get in a topical min + fin. There’s a company here in the uk called FRESHMANS that do the mix, do you guys think it’s worth a shot? https://www.getfreshman.com/get-started/ here’s a link, would be great if you guys could let me know what you think. Or is there’s any other ideas on how to preserve my natural hair. Thanks very much!
