Oh, I have no doubt whatsoever that the issue is the Finasteride. It did the same thing to me when I tried it 20 years ago (so I switched to oral Dutasteride, which didn't have that side effect). What I'm saying is that the Tadalafil removes the limp dick issue. I was waking up with morning wood on a regular basis despite the Finasteride. If I had the Tadalafil in hand, I wouldn't be in this position. That said, I am leaning toward getting back on oral Dutasteride. The only reason I got on Finasteride again is because Eugenix recommended it so strenuously and I thought I'd give it another try. Until the July switch to oral Finasteride, I had been using topical Dutasteride for years...but I don't think it worked very well.

It's my fault that I ran out of Tadalafil. I should have been paying closer attention to how many were left. Now I'm in a bind because the young woman has invited herself to spend the night tomorrow. I was hoping to put off her next visit until late next week when my order might be here...but I'm obviously not going to tell her no. But the situation sucks. And what makes it even worse is that the quickest way to ensure you don't get an erection is to worry about whether you will get an erection! Uuugh. 🤦‍♂️

Which topical dutasteride did you use and did it have side effects?

Hi @Yabala. I developed sexual side effects on oral Finasteride after several attempts over a couple of years. From taking it at 1mg a day to microdosing. I have been prescribed 0.25% topical Finasteride and have yet to develop sexual side effects. Now it could be that the dose has not gone systemic for some reason. It’s also messy to apply at night like minoxidil but it’s worth it. Having said that I would highly encourage you to ensure you wash your hands thoroughly after applying it. All the best.

What base do you use and where do you get it from?

I wanted to let the community know that CosmeRNA reached out to me. I have asked for a phone call to discuss some of these issues. My hope is that someone can join a podcast to talk about some of these concerns.

Please do! Would love this soooo much

  4. steps I would take in your position

    1. Shave and see how you like it

    2. Augment with SMP if you dont

    3. Wait for new meds (Pyri) or use safer current meds (Dutasteride Meso or Xyon Finasteride) if you still want hair

    4. Wait a couple years to see what your final pattern is/stabilisation & if your donor seems alright go to Eugenix

    5. Hair system? Accept your fate

    Got PFS in 2017.

5 years later i have not fully recovered.

But i dont dwell on it too much. I am able to have sex at least & it no longer affects my life or think about that much. I do wonder will it affect me having children. I produce far less sperm than previously.

I didnt get any other PFS symtoms bar some sleep issues.

Sides happened with me after 2 years. I wasnt anxious at all taking the drug in 2015 i thought PFS was fake tbh.

The drug in general seems dangerous. Sides could happen at any time. I think as a young man it could be very risky in terms of having children. Can reduce your sperm count by quite a lot.

The crazy thing is that Hairloss still worries me more despite having overcome PFS. This is even after my GF not caring about it at all.

I really believe hairloss has such a negative affect on so many men's mental state

Did you see any improvements over time or with the use of supplements?

Hey Gatsby, just had a question. I’m 25 and also experience side effects from fin, both topical and oral. Was wondering, would you still have gotten a transplant at 25 without medication given everything you know now or would you just have made peace with it. I only ask because I have a lot of hair now but will likely end up a norwood 6-7 in the coming years and have started shaving my head in preparation the last year but am having great difficulty getting used to it and my dating life has certainly suffered a bit. Just wondering if I should just accept my new world order haha or would you keep up the fight using transplants and minox at 25?

I’ve thought of fue and smp but people seem to often discourage doing both so I suppose there’s a reason for that. On the plus side I have a super thick beard haha.

    Thanks!

Very much in the same boat here. I'm gonna wait for the Pyrilutamide results. If they look promising I'll keep at it with the hope of stabilisation and no sides. If they flop (as I have come to expect), it's time for the chop

  7. Hi gang,

Currently on oral min and dutasteride mesotherapy. I still have a little lingering sides from oral finasteride use (watery semen, difficulty staying hard) and wonder if I should just wait them out or try some supplements like DIM or Maca Root?

    Cheers all!

    Thanks @Melvin- Moderator
Just yesterday I saw photos of a patient who has had treatment of PRP/Mesotherapy/Dutaseride along with beginning oral minoxidil. His improvement is incredible after 12 months of treatment. I have checked with the clinic if the patient has given his permission to share his photos so please bear with me and as soon as I have confirmation, I will share photos if possible.

Wow I would love to see these pictures if possible!
