  1. First photo wet and brushed back in direct light Second dry and pulled back in direct light Third brushed in the opposite direction to how my hair falls and in direct sunlight. Hope this helps My hair is texture is fine and light weight and so blow dried and brushed over with minimal product is my preferred way of wearing it. My regimen is 1mg of fin daily and Nizoral shampoo once a week.
  2. Before & After Still the best decision I’ve ever made. HT with Dr Bruno Ferreira September 2021
  3. 12 Month Update As of last week I’m now 12 months since my FUE procedure with Dr Bruno Ferreira in Porto. The last time I checked in I mentioned some shedding and was a bit worried. I’m pleased to report this has virtually stopped now and everything is looking and feeling great. I’ve attached some photos taken in different light and two ‘before’ photos, it’s actually hard to believe when I look back at photos just how much things have changed a year down the line. There was a point a few weeks before my op date that I really questioned if I was doing the right thing and if I should just accept the inevitable. All in all, I’m over the moon with the outcome and can say it’s the best decision I could of made.
  4. Thanks for your input Rolandas, what a perfectly timed video to ease my anxiety 😆 I’ve found that the longer it is the more I pick the bones out of it - this photo was taken middle of July Ill see what the 12 month stage brings
  5. Sorry I’ve not been keeping this thread updated lads, had lots going on lately. I’ll be 11 months post op on 17th August Transplanted hair continues to thicken and donor area looking good. I know I’ve had a few comments about pinkness in the recipient area but not much has changed in that department. I have however noticed that from mid June there was a change in my native hair, I began to shed noticeably and by mid July i feel I’d lost an obvious amount of density, which in turn affected the over all aesthetic and lead me to going back a really short cut. I’m already at a disadvantage as my hair is really fine. I’m still on 1mg of Finasteride daily and take Ecophane tablets daily. Im considering introducing oral Minox into my regimen now, I’ve seen @Rolandas seems to have had good success with this - the only reservation I have would be another shed on top of what I’m going through at the minute and looking even worse. Any advice welcome 👍🏻 Some photos attached for you - all taken today after a hair cut, wet, blow dried, indoors and in natural light. Hope you are all keeping well and making good progress in whatever stage of the process you’re at.
  6. Yes with my fair(ish) hair and complexion I’ve sort of made my peace with the fact that it was going to be a slower healing process for me. It’s not as pink or angry as it was at 1-4 months so I’ll re-assess at the 12 month mark but as it stands, it doesn’t concern me.
  7. Long over due update, it will be 8 months on 17th May since my trip to Porto to visit Dr Bruno Ferreira. I have attached photos taken In the months of March & April, pre and post my monthly trim, in different light, wet and dry. Over all I’m really pleased with how it’s progressing. It’s really starting to thicken up and I’m slowly learning how to manage the different texture and hairs that don’t seem to want to stay where they’re told to when styling. My most recent visit to the barber was yesterday and at a 0.5 fade this is the shortest I’ve gone to give a bit of an idea how the scars are marks are looking. It’s hard to believe we’re nearly 8 months in, I feel like post op the time has flown by.
  8. 5 month post op check in. Everything continues to improve. Over all density and aesthetic feels like each week is better than the week before. As the hair has started to thicken the texture has become a bit more frizzy, I’m trying to combat this by drying my hair on a low heat while brushing. I’ve never used any styling products in my hair but think I’ll try some going forward and see if it makes a difference to those uncontrollable whispy bits. I had my hair cut last week and my barber could not believe the difference. I know we’re only 5 months in and not yet at the finish line but the confidence it has given me has been worth every moment of stress and every penny I’ve parted with.
  9. I know the feeling mate. My friend has just had his op a month ago and is majorly stressed about the whole affair in particular the ugly duckling phase, I said to look at it like little lottery win that you can’t draw out the bank for 6 months.
  10. Hi All, checking in with some photos taken today. We’re now 4 months post op with Bruno Ferreira Im noticing single sprouting in the hair line and and aesthetically it’s looking fuller. Still pinker then I’d like in the recipient area but to be fair much more drastic under the flash of my iPhone. Over all I’m really pleased and can notice a big difference vs this time last month I’ve just attended a friends wedding and had lots of nice comments which has given me a huge boost in confidence
  11. Cheers mate I hope so. I booked before the prices increased so I payed €2.50 per graft.
  12. That’s doesn’t sound fun. It was around 5 mins in a cab from the clinic so you should be fine. On my second day of surgery I walked and it took around 15 minutes. I booked it directly online.
  13. I would say it’s still more red than most other post op cases I’ve seen at this stage, but slowly subsiding. Aloe gel is the only thing I’ve been using. It definitely looks worse on camera. Hotel Apartmento Solverde, there were cheaper options but this was recommended by the clinic. Good luck with January, I’ll bet you can’t wait.
  14. Looks great mate, I’m 3 months post op with Dr Ferreira today. Happy growing
  15. Quick update for everyone: We’re now at the 3 months post op date. Photos attached taken indoors, indoor with the flash on my phone and outdoor in natural light - all taken today. There seems to be new baby hairs appearing every couple of days and things generally feel like they’re moving in the right direction.
  16. I imagine the thresholds varies in patient to patient. I don’t think my donor area was the best including hair caliber so Dr Ferreira had to box clever.
