  1. Hi, I can honestly say I have no regrets, keep in mind if you are losing hair and are looking to shave your head this will do wonders for the overall look,if you cannot deal with having a shaved head then this is not for you.
  2. I think many of you are actually having a difficult time understanding what Smp is,to me smp is a better situation then the current one. Lets take the op's pic for example, has barely no hair on the top of his head however what smp has allowed him is some sort of freedom from being bald,is it perfect?no but does it look 100 times better then being bald?the answer is yes. Some of you who are attacking the results are not in the op's shoes,he went from being a nw6 to someone who could get away with the stubble look, does he still look like he's balding or thinning? Yes but it looks way better then before. smp has given me my confidence back,I know it's not real hair but an illusion..guess what? I'm okay with that.
  3. I'm actually quite pleased with the outcome to be honest,I met a guy on the weekend who is considering smp and wanted to see it in person,he couldn't tell what was dots and what was my real hair. I don't think the hairline is strange at all, would I have like to gone for a maturer hairline yes,but I am still quite happy with the results, remember smp is not for everyone, you really cannot expect ht results however what you can expect is a better situation then your current one.i think there is people out there who are not candidates for hairtransplants who would benefit from smp to improve the quality of life.
  4. Good to hear things are moving along, cannot wait to see your work
  5. Cost is $500 per zone per pass, most likely a touch up once a year will be one or two zones with one pass each,so anywhere from $500 to 1k annually. Over the course of say 10 years can range from 5k-10k to maintain the look. This depends on number of variables, protection from the sun, excessive sweating, how quickly it fades,it varies on each person. Zones are categorized front, middle, crown
  6. Wanted to give my input on how my procedure went with Hasson & Wong Little bit about me,diffuse thinner so HT was not an option for me,went and saw H&W numerous times to see if I could qualify for an Ht and it was always a no. Back in 2012 I flew out to New York to get Smp work done by Milena from Beauty Medical, this was a fairly quick pass all over my head, however it lasted for almost 10 months. Anyways with the Smp fading quick I needed to decide to either grow back my diffuse hair or stick with the shaved look which Smp gives you. I decided Smp was the route I was gonna take, met with Joe(Jotronic),because I knew that H&W techs had been trained by Milena the choice was a no brainer, also the fact that their office is only 25 minutes fom my house. Anyways it's been 4 days since my session and things look great, the tech who worked on me was so thorough and wanted to make sure I was happy, she took her time which I appreciated. I was a bit unsure going in as I know H&W are known for ht's but I know this Smp thing is new to everyone but Milena. Am I happy yes,if I could go back and do it again would I ?yes however when this does fade I will ask for a more mature hairline. Hopefully Joe can chime in with some pics...more then happy to answer any questions.
  7. The dots seem larger then conventional smp, and you need to shave your head ASAP,very detectable they way your hair sits now
  8. Pics as promised, there has been some fading since Sept, however I feel like its holding up well
  9. Sorry for the delay guys..I promise tomorrow
  10. I will post straight head shots later on tonight..so you have a better understanding of how it looks
  11. Month 6 and fading is minimal, things look good for now, sorry for the lack of updates, been out of the country for the last month.
  12. Bill, You bring up some valid points,i have currently gone through 2 sessions, would probably need another session to get it looking like how I want it to look. I believe the 3K US dollars would be for the start to finish price for the one procedure depending how many sessions it would take to get the look. Paying 3K every 2 years is a bit much to be honest, however my hope is that Milena Lardi from Beauty Medical will come up with some sort of permanent solution in the next couple of years, also hoping there is more stories of success from permanent SMP clients.
  13. The ink approximately will last for about 2 years, this could vary depending on a number of factors, protecting from the sun, chlorine etc etc. A procedure like this would cost anywhere from $1600 Euros or 2K + I will post some pics up shortly, the pictures do not do the look justice,I have shaved down to #.50 guard and the change is phenomenal.
  14. I just wanted to add the hair length in the pics was 2.5 guard, not the best length for this type of hairloss,I just got back from getting my haircut at a 1 guard and the results are astounding, will post pics later on tonight.
  15. Wanted to share my experience with all the folks who are interested in possibly going this route one day. My first post here, however I am active member on the other major hairloss forum,I go by the same username. Anyways,a little about me,suffering with hairloss for about 15 years, diffuse thinner, not a candidate for a hair transplant. Started looking into SMP about 6 months back, been on propecia for about 10 years so my current hair is holding well. My appointment was booked for Sept 7th and 8th at Dr Fellers office in Great Neck,NY. I normally wear my hair long on the side and on the top,and use toppik on a daily basis, after doing tons of research i decided to make this work i would have to crop my hair down to a 1 grade,to give it that natural look. | met Spex,Dr Feller, and a few others who also got work done from Milena Lardi. There was tons of pictures taken by Spex and Dr Feller,I am hoping one of them can chime in and add pictures to this post. Enough of that, first procedure was Friday the 7th which took about 3 hours and the second on Saturday the 8th which took 1 hour. Its day 5 since the last procedure, and my honest take is that I am impressed,my family and friends are impressed. I got a haircut yesterday and my barber oof 20 years did not notice a thing. I would probably need another session to perfect the look, for now things are good,i plan to update monthly pics so I can document any fading, color changing etc. I did have the procedure done on most of the top of my head. Your questions are welcomed:
