  1. mission hair : oops! haha

    Bill : wow u r really a hardworking moderator!

just curious on one thing, i have been on this site nearly everyday for the past half a yr and still trying to find out more abt HT and patients of dr Pat... so far, i was not able to find any patients of his who had any bad experience. Since u have been here for a long time, do u recall anyone who had been unsatisfied with his HT? Basically, i am all for going under the knife in may, but after seeing the scar of my friend's, i was really affected... but since i am in Asia, i do not really have the luxury of just flying to the states for a procedure. i mean, wat if there are complications? it will be much more inconvenient... however, Dr Pat has made it clear that he does not perform FUE these days ( not that i am against FUT but after seeing a scar in the flash, seriously i am having second thoughts)

    your opinion? thanks!

  2. hi there!

i am going to Dr Path in may! Seriously i was hoping someone can give me bad feedback but i am so glad so far i did not hear any bad press!

However, i had a friend who just had HT done half a yr ago and his scar still seems red and slightly bigger than i hoped it was. and hair was not really growing out of the scar which i tote it would be cos of the tricophytic closure

So honestly i was slightly affected and would be more than happy to get in touch with Dr Pat's past patients!

    Do post more photos ya!!

  3. hi guys, it seems that i was right. Most of us here would concur that the social shut down more of a sacrifice than monetary issues... I am pretty close to my friends and colleagues and i m in the finance industry so i need to attend loads of meetings etc. Here's the rub. If i was not in the industry and rather in some manufacturing, i prob would not ve bothered abt going under the knife. Thing is i am in the finance circle so image becomes a major concern. All in all, i have made my decision and i will stick to it.

  4. my procedure is in may but i am pondering over this question

i mean, all of us here prob would not ve regretted spending every bit of the money if the procedure went really well. m i safe to assume i m speakin on behalf of most of us?

how abt the anxiety? from the decision to go under the knife, the actual procedure, the waiting, agony if things will turn out well, the social shut down for a mth or so etc... i reckon this is wat i feel i will be sacrificing...

  5. i second wat megatron has just said. Working out is fundamental to some so it does feel really weird to stop for weeks, needless to talk abt mths!

anyone feels that doing pull up is ok? u dun actually yank ur neck that much but hey pulling ur body weight defn stress part of the neck muscle...

    any comments on this?

    thanks!

  6. mich, i think the scar is the only thing that is holding me back... nothing else really matters... but dr oravan did inform me that i prob need less than 2k grafts...

i did some browsing and realized that most of those who had abt 2k grafts or below had only FUE... it somehow appeals to me that everyone is trying to avoid the strip as much as possible due to the chances of scarring.. though it does not mean FUE does not produce scars... its just that at the end of the day, the FUE does not leave a linear scar... but u r spot on abt the shave off.. i ve nvr ever tote of going down this route...

    any opinions? bill?
