hey u have any pics on ur scar?
-
hi mav! yah of cos its not 'invisible' but at least thin enuff not to get noticed even with short hair!
i am so thrilled everything worked out for u! hope mine will be fine too... i am having a similar hair loss pattern as u... more of frontal and slight crown...
anyway ya do snap a picture as u know a pic speaks a thousand words!
-
wow those bulging biceps are so glaring to the ladies that i m sure they wun prob focus on the hair sir look at bruce willis, who has snagged a seriously gorgeous underwear model!
Anyway jokes aside, u have any photos on the scar??
-
hi sunny!!!!!!!!! how ve u been? gd to hear things r fine at ur end!!! lost some weight and gained some hair? sounds like a double winner
hows the scar? i suppose it should have healed already?
-
thanks for the reply mav!!
actually i am quite concerned abt the scar but its only been a couple months for u and u feel the scar is already quite unnoticeable?
thanks!
-
wow! nice! i think u seriously pulled it off but alas! i dun ve wavy hair and if i leave it real long, it will look v flat as my frontal region is quite sparse now...
How abt the scar? Mind sharing some pics?
-
hi mav. but if he shaves off from ur recipient area, nonetheless i think the incisions will still be pretty obvious rite? esp if ur hair is curly...
i was hoping he does not shave anything as i feel it will be hard to cover...
any pics fellow HT brother? as in with ur hair covering up the incisions. a picture speaks a thousand words! thanks!!!!!
-
I see! No wonder, as Dr Oravan told me that Dr Pat will meet me one day earlier to decide on the hairline.
Anyway nice and neat work done... actually i feel my hair loss is similar to urs, esp the frontal region.
Did he shave anything? Also, did u ever considered doing FUE? I was actually quite insistent in doing FUE but Dr Pat made it very clear he is no longer practising that...
-
mav! hi again! my surgery is scheduled in end may and i am glad to be corresponding with yet another happy patient of dr Pat
Is the procedure really that painless? Also, i thought the hairline will be decided a day prior to surgery?
-
how ve u been mate sunny? i m all scheduled for end may surgery so wish me luck!
ur email could not ve been more true but i agree with marvin too.
for me, i m happily married with a kid and nobody says anything cos my condition is at least well hidden with dermatch and concealers... but every night is like cinderella. when the clock ticks, u r back to square 1. for me, its my own issue, nothing to do with others at all...
-
Bill, i ve been meaning to ask u this... lets say someone goes under the knife for a FUT which is done by an extremely skilled surgeon and the procedure is perfect. I am just curious, lets say after a decade, dun tell me that the scar is still visible if u buzz down? any comments?
-
ultimate! mine is scheduled in end may and i am already starting to feel nervous hehe
best of luck and remember to post more photos!
-
hi mav, u r not the 1st person to feel the pain is certainly bearable but my friend who went thru a procedure of 3k grafts told me he literally wanted to scream ( his dr was another surgeon, not dr pat) and personally i m damn scared of pain so i was quite shaken
-
pathspatient, oh yah i tote of something. i actually went looking for dr path and wanted a FUE procedure but dr oravan made it v clear they do not perform FUE anymore... how abt urself? i was actually hoping to do FUE as i really am concerned over the scar but from the pics shown by so many Dr Pat's patients.. i have not come across any that is bad...
-
dr oravan said that i can do it either way but i ve already decided to just keep to my current hairline... reason is it will be really hard to cover up if i have a lowered hairline and i need to get back to work real fast so i prob cannot afford that. and yes, i think its better to save up the precious donor hair for future HTs
As for choosing a dr, since i live in the vicinity of Thailand, i really cannot afford the time to travel out of Asia, like the states, and i have heard and seen raving reviews abt dr pat so i decided on the date of surgery after my initial consultation
-
Hi Mav!
oh, even for 2.3k grafts, its quite long huh? ear to ear? do post pics!
yes dr oravan did instruct me to keep my hair long so as to cover up more easily...
being asian, i cannot defn pull off a shaved look so prob i will ask him to work within his means to transplant in between existing hairs...
how many days did u take to go back for the removal of stitches? also, how was the pain like during the surgery?
-
during my initial consultation, dr oravan did mention between 40 to 50 is v ideal to present a reasonable dense look as they feel they do not wan to go too aggressively extracting uncessary donor hair esp if u r relatively young.
-
pathspatient, dun mind if i ask, u did ask for a lower hairline rite? correct me if i m wrong! during my initial consultation with dr oravan, she did ask me if i wanted to lower my hairline or just fill up the front. i am still undecided but i think prob i will settle for the latter. any opinions?
-
hi maverick! guess everything went well ya? hope mine will be as gd when its my turn in may!
u did abt 2.3k grafts? i shld be doing abt 2k so we are on the same page
just wan to check with u, is the scar v long? from ear to ear?
-
hi mich, my surgery is scheduled in may and its due to nice and friendly fellow mpb fighters sharing experiences that give others the confidence
wish me luck!
oh yah did dr pat shave off any part of ur existing hair??
-
beachgoer! best of luck! dun think u will need much of those since u are in the hands of a gd doctor all the best!
-
hi pathspatient, can i check with u if Dr Pat did shave off any part of ur hair?
-
saw ur pics eerily similar to mine!
if i m not wrong, did u ask to lower the hairline? i reckon u do not ve that much loss in front but u wanted a lower hairline? correct me if i m wrong dude!
also, did Dr Pat shave off any part before the transplant? I cannot figure this out by looking at ur pics but the operated part seems clean and without existing hair, so i assumed he shaved off that part?
-
i m especially thrilled abt his scar. seems really invisible. dr pat, gd job!
HT with Dr Path in 2 weeks, advice....
