  1. Please do not turn this into a political circle jerk.  We don't care what your politics are.  What is with Trumps hairstyle?  For many years I have wondered what he is doing with his hair.  Has he had grafts that didn't take, and what would you do if you were him.

Thanks for the advice guys.  It’s such a crazy journey so far.  At 7 weeks I actually have slightly more hair than I did at day zero which is completely unexpected. I guess I could be a late shedder.  The waiting continues! Let’s hope it all fills out in a few months....

I did not shed at all, but I am a lot older.  Everybody is different.  I am a fast healer as witnessed by past non-transpant procedures, although I remember no shedding from my 2011 transplant.  I am 14 months past my last transplant.  When I was younger I had to clean out the drain every day, now I very seldom have to do that and I have a good amount of body hair.

Crimes can happen anywhere.  Watch video of young bloggers visiting Turkey.  Turkey is a tourist destination.  I was more alert in costa rica where bandits were known to rob tourists in A town called Jaco.

wherever you go, just be aware of your surroundings- best of luck

Jaco is the top spot for prostitution in Costa Rica.  People can do whatever they want.  I have posted the warnings, now it is up to individuals if they want to risk their neck.  Would it be better to remain silent and not tell people of the potential risks involved in 4N travel.  Travel Advisories are for our benefit.

  4. I look at the other side of the coin - Turkey is not exactly a desired tourist destination especially at this time.  Your safety is more important than your hair.  Review tourist alerts before going anywhere.  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories.html/

EVERYONE SHOULD BOOKMARK THAT LINK - THE RISK CAN BE TOO GREAT.!

  5. My story is different than most.  Looking back at old pictures I was probably Norwood 5 or 6 when I had my first 2,000 transplants in 2011 at age 64.  At that time I knew I would need a 2nd transplant which I had in 2018 at age 71.  My hairloss appears to have stopped so I am not dealing with the everchanging hair.  I had 2300 transplants in 2018, and my hair has filled in nicely except I could use help in the crown area.  I probably will not do the crown because of my age - Law of Diminishing Returns - LOL.  I was happy with my first procedure for 7 years.  The key for me is that my hairloss stopped which is not something younger guys experience.  I used to have to clean the drain after ever shower.  My story is not as interesting as a 30-40 year old, but remember you will not always be young, but you will always want to look your best, and someday you will be 72 and wondering what the heck happened.  LOL

  6. I could use some grafts in my crown area, and was wondering if this is effective in such a situation.  Also if SMP is effective for a man who wears his hair longer.  I am 72 so I am not likely to opt for more grafts, and I am pretty much satisfied with everything except the crown area.  Repeating the procedure every 4 years is really not a concern for me.  I have more hair than most of the guys my age.

  7. Just starting to toy with the idea of SMP, but I found this sentence disturbing...  " If you are comfortable with a new styling option such as a clean buzz cut, consider Scalp micro-pigmentation."  ...  In no way will I ever be comfortable with a clean buzz cut.  Some men were never meant to be buzzed, and I am one of those.  Is SMP basically for those who like the very short buzz look?

  8. I consider other elements when considering 4N travel.  What good is a nice transplant if you have no head.

The FCO has advised that Istanbul, Turkey's largest city, and Ankara, its capital, are mostly safe. ... The FCO says that “most terrorist attacks have taken place in Ankara and Istanbul”, but adds that “attacks are most likely to target the Turkish state, civilians and demonstrations” rather than tourist hotspots.Oct 14, 2019

It is evident you are experiencing the hereditary condition given your temporal loss.  But when patients also have "spots," it can mean a number of things including areata.  The first thing I would do is go to the dermatologist and have them scope.

If it is areata, the hair could return and the spot reappear somewhere else.  And, if you do transplants, the condition can also affect the grafts.

Your eyebrows just seem thin.  The problem there is the fact we don't have such specialized hair anywhere else in the body.  That is, grafts will typically be taken from behind the ear.  This is where the finest hair is, (that's permanent). But the hair caliber will still be very thick in comparison to the hair in the eyebrow and it will stick like a sore thumb out and look unnatural.  My suggestion is leave them alone.

Have you consulted with a hair transplant doctor?

I enjoy your posts.  I was toying with the idea of filling out the eyebrows, but it sure doesn't seem like it would be worth it.

  10. I have had 2 good transplants and I spend much more time on my hair now.  I cannot come up with a hairstyle that I like, and my hair wants to lie too flat.  My hair is 8" on top and I do not want the slicked back look or white side walls.  I am going to have to try and find a men's hair sylist who doesn't try to pull one of those fruity hairstyles on me.
