  1. Looking at your list of surgeons again and since you are open to multiple surgeries, imho, I would put Dr. Bicer on the list.
  2. Agree with Gatsby. But, if you are willing to spread out the procedures, say, two procedures within 12 to 13 months, that will definitely broaden the field to a few more surgeons who can do good work for high Norwoods. Also, as a fellow Norwood 6/7, I would say if you aren't already on it, start low dose oral minoxidil. All the best in your search.
  3. Donor area looks very good. It would be interesting to see what it looks like buzzed down.
  4. Did you mean same price per graft for both Dr. Pittella and Dr. Sethi?
  5. There will be bad results with every surgeon. And, it's fair to ask this question on the forum. That's what it's for. But, keep in mind, some people will be in Dr. Pittella's camp and others will vouch for Eugenix with their lives. In the end, it falls on you to do tons and tons of research. Different surgeons are better for different Norwood levels. Do you need more hairline work or crown, etc. And, of course, cost and location should be on the list but farther down and should come into play when everything else is fairly close. And, don't be swayed in your decision because you may have to wait a few extra months for one surgeon. Right surgeon means everything for a decision this big. All the best in your search.
  6. Hey guys, I have done a few consults and also spoken to other people with Norwood 6/7 who have undergone HT. It seems like I would need my entire beard hair (almost all anyway) for near full coverage. I usually don't grow my beard. But, the thought of not having the option to ever grow it again scares me. So darn permanent. I would love to hear from anyone here who has done that. Any regrets? Thanks, Z
  7. Are you taking generic oral minoxidil? Any side effects?
  8. Thank you for that info. Makes a whole lot more sense now.
  9. Other than the LeBron James analogy, point noted.
  10. Forgive my ignorance, but how long has Zarev been doing this? I know his FUE prices are comparable to Konior and H&W. But, the latter two have been at it for a few decades now.
  11. So, I just heard back from Zarev's office. No online consultations. Only off schedule (whatever that means) consults. And that happens within one year. Costs 900 Euros. After that, 2 year wait for procedure and that costs 9 Euros/graft. I know Zarev has produced some really good results, but is it me or is this price a little too much for someone who really hasn't been doing it for that long ? Not knocking him and not trying to come across as negative or trollish, just a little shocked at how prohibitive it is for anyone of normal means to go to Zarev. And, we thought capitalism was a uniquely American thing.
  12. Hey guys, might be a silly question. I have heard a lot about body hair and beard hair. What about the hair from the back of neck ? Usually, guys have a thick growth there and that hair is pretty much unwanted. I know I am always trying to shave it. Just wondering that when surgeons talk about body hair, are they also considering those hair? Z
  13. I respectfully disagree that you can't get decent number of grafts (3,000 - 4,000) in the hands of the right surgeon. Hair transplant science has evolved exponentially in the last 5 years. With scalp and beard hair alone, you could get a pretty decent coverage. As long as you are realistic about your expectations, I would say don't lose hope. Talk to surgeons like Wong and Pittella.
  14. Thanks guys for all the helpful info. Hair system is not an option, with all due respect to all those who wear one. Shaving is not for now. Maybe at a later date. Will roll the dice with HT. Hoping that someone like Dr. Pittella can offer decent coverage with FUE and beard hair without over harvesting. Will keep the forum updated with pics and progress. Z
  15. Appreciate the info. I think I am just not a shaved head kind of guy. Just don't think it would work for me But, that's actually good food for thought at a later time. Thanks.
  16. Shaving is not an option. Scar from FUT. I agree that I would need beard grafts. Not looking for full coverage. Some density and a nice hairline will be enough...I think lol.
  17. Agreed. Trying to get a consult with Dr. Pittella. Fingers crossed. Thanks, Z
  18. Are you telling me I am that far gone that I should forget about HT and look at hair systems? Respectfully, I have seen plenty of cases like mine end up with pretty decent coverage with the right surgeon. And, that's what I am hoping to do with some guidance from the brotherhood. Not a hair system.
  19. Beard is decent. I will take a pic in a few days when it's grown a little. Just shaved. Although, it's mostly gray. Doesn't know what if any difference that will make.
  20. Thanks @Gatsby. My expectations ? I think that I would be more than happy with a dense hairline and front. Maybe leave a small crown area as is. Funny you mention Dr. Sethi. He is actually acquainted with my brother in law. He was supposed to come to a dinner event in New York last year, but didn't materialize. Was going to pick his brains. He is definitely on my list along with Pittella. I have followed your amazing results for a while. Congrats on the life changing results ! As far as Zarev, I reached out. For one, the price is too prohibitive. Plus, they are booked for like 3 years. Good for him. I think my scalp laxity is fine. I do those scalp exercises many of the surgeons recommend. But, I still worry about the second scar. Beard isn't the most dense, but its reosanbly dense, but I honestly don't know how to access that. Thanks for all the help guys, Z
  21. Thanks. I agree that full coverage is a pipe-dream. However, I have seen cases where Dr. Pittella achieved near full coverage in Norwood 7 cases like mine. I just don't think I have in me to undergo two more procedures. Plus, yes I do have a scar but the idea of that scar getting bigger or a second scar also scares me. Someone like Pittella is a one shot thing. I think he will get the most out of what i have left. Not full coverage, but it will be similar to what you described with getting a FUT for front and mid scalp and second smaller FUE to fill the crown. Would love some more input, before I start calling these clinics and get the ball rolling. Z
  22. Hey guys, need some advice. Uploading some pics for the first time. Tried different lightings just to make sure they are upto the standards of this forum. Sorry, if they aren't. First time and all. So, I had my first procedure about 10 years ago. FUT. The hair on top are basically all the transplanted hair. I know it's some degree of advanced hair loss. Don't know about Norwood level. Maybe 7? My question is to get maximum coverage in one shot, do I consider someone aggressive like Dr. Pittellla? Or, maybe someone like Dr. Wong who is a great surgeon but maybe not as aggressive ? I know most of you will say they are both great surgeons and I can't go wrong with either. But, just curious who you think gives me a better shot, especially based on my degree of hair loss. Thanks, as always, Z
  23. @Bronamath123 absolutely brother Would love all the help. Have never been to that part of the world. So, some apprehensions, obviously.
