  1. I'd like to explain why I MISTAKENLY thought there were double hair grafts in the front.

Transplanted hair from the back is thicker than baby, thin, sometimes colorless, single hairs at the hairline.

If you're implanting strong single hair grafts from the back of the head, those strong, single hair grafts will stand out against the thin, sometimes colorless, baby single hairs at the hairline.

So the choice is between strong single hairs in the front hairline vs leaving the hairline alone.

    Am I wrong?

But overall, the transplant looks fantastic.

Thanks Melvin .. I really do want a hair transplant into my hairline .. when I look at my pics now .. it’s a shame if I dont transfer that dense donor I have into my top .. it will do wonders for me . I never realized how important hair was till I started losing it ..

This is a tough call, bro.

You've decided to fin.  That was a smart idea.

You picked a top doc.  Another smart idea.

You're worried that the risk of surgery may trump the reward.  That also makes sense.

If I were you, I'd first look into temporary scalp micropigmentation.  It's risk free.

Hi guys ,, so how much of my donor hair can be used before it starts looking thin , or over harvested ? 50/60 percent ? I never buzz my hair .. always cut with  scissors only ..

im also confused when people say they have around 6000 -7000 grafts left they can use from their donor .. do u mean that’s how much donor hair u have total ? Or that’s the amount u still have left before it’s overharvested ?

What u guys think of my donor ? Will that be enough to cover my head if I ever bald completely ? I think I might end up being a Norwood 4-5 in as I get older .. what u guys think? U guys think I should trim the back ? It’s getting kinda long .. was planning on keeping it long till I get a hair transplant so the doctor diep will know what he got to work with ..

    Are you on "fin"?

If you're willing to fin, I'd fin for a good year before I get "Diep'd".

Finning may be enough.  You may not need to get Diep'd.

  4.

Dr. Karadeniz in Turkey charges the same as Yaman.  Karadeniz does all the work himself (FUE & FUT).  He's one of only 3 doctors in all of Turkey who does all the work himself.  Many have said great things about him.  He also possesses a PH.d.  He likes to use motorized extraction for FUE, whereas Erdogan's technicians use manual.  Manual is better, I think.  Tough choice.

  5. Forget about a hair transplant.

    Get temporary SMP instead.

15 times cheaper than a hair transplant.

    No drugs.

    No surgery.

    No post-op recovery.

    No pain.

    No risk of.....

Infection, transection, nerve damage, shock loss, poor angulation, buried grafts, multiple sessions chasing lost hair, etc.

3 month update.  Not much to report except that my hair has reached a length where I have to "trim" it to even it out.  Some hairs are significantly longer than others (I can still see some hairs as almost stubble).  Also, I've grown so accustomed to having really short hair I think I prefer this hairstyle (so easy to manage).  For now I think I'm going to keep it this length.  I may change my mind and just grow it all out, but we'll see.

It is not as full as I'd like it, but it seems other people have that issue around month 3-5, and then around month 6 things get significantly better.  Still, I am very happy and it looks much better to me than it did before I had my procedure.

    See ya next month.
